You wake up at Seatac, SFO, LAX. You wake up at O'Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, BWI. Pacific, mountain, central. Lose an hour, gain an hour. This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time.
After a moment, the guard gives him a nod. "Head on up."

He's sent to the meeting room, where there's no need to knock as the doors are opened to allow him, Moff, Psi, and Erin back into the meeting room.

Grace will find a quieter area to discuss things with Phil, and then begin.
"I hope you can understand why you've been brought here. Even if you're innocent, the circumstances are pretty badly weighed against you- you make your speech, a giant object falls from the sky at the same time on a related area and it explodes quite spectacularly. I've no intention of leaping to conclusions, but you're a very obvious suspect, and it's best if we investigate your potential involvement.
"Of course... this is Nexus. Strange things happen, and for all we know, it could have been a time traveling evil clone out to make you look bad. So I've encouraged the Council to give you a bit more benefit of the doubt, and try and work with you to investigate and find the real culprit."
She smiles encouragingly.
"Now, you said yourself that you have some evidence for your innocence. Why don't we start there?"
"First off, Iggy didn't explode. The explosives that the Empire and retroactively the Remnant were supposed to remove weeks ago did. And yes, I have evidence. Video evidence. It needs to be slowed down to frame by frame, though," Phil points to the video card.

Mainframe picks up the video card and slots it in. The scene begins playing on its screen, and Phil can direct when he wants the frame-by-frame to start.
Phil has it stop and zoom in to just the right magnification about half a second before Egg-Drop One landed.
"As you can see, Iggy was far from the origination site of the explosion, and not carrying anything explosive. If I can get access to one of my computers, I can show you his designs. Nothing combustible was involved in any way, though the ablative shielding was meant to break off in an emergency so that instead of one overheated robot hitting something, it was tiny pieces of it just leaving itty bitty holes, it any holes at all. Now, if you'll watch the frame by frame with each frame being one centisecond, you'll notice that the explosion happens fourty point seven centiseconds after the landing, and starts out from a location over fifty meters away. Also, there's a second landing object, a strange meteorite I have yet to identify," Phil rambles on and on.

"I see. Mainframe, can we get a copy of that footage made?"
Grace asks the drone, before turning back to Phil.
"Now, you say the Empire was supposed to have removed those explosives? You knew they were there already?"
"What other evidence do you have to offer?"
Grace asks kindly.
"We can conclude from the video that your robot was not the actual source of the explosion, but there is still the question of whether it caused it (though due to distance it is a little more unlikely)- and, forgive me- whether it was purposeful. You admit knowing the explosives were there, and you also admit to dropping something nearby that had an impact nearly simultaneous with the explosion- while not conclusive, this isn't exactly weighing in your favor, either."
"I didn't know the explosives were still there when I dropped the bot. I figured the Empire had done a competent job of removing them. But if you look at the video, it's obvious they didn't. You figure they would have evacuated the area until they were sure, right," Vael may have realized by now that Phil doesn't want this turning into a political anything for anyone. If anything, he'd like this to end even MORE in his favor than if he was just delcared innocent.

Holy crap, it's Vael!
She seems to keep turning up in places randomly.
The mask maker looks rather confused as to how she ended up in the council building, and then- wait.
Cut!
Eesee (also known as Embellished Extolling of Character Traits), the Narrative Ninja, duly comes along and fixes the mistake, shooing out Vael with a brush and a dust pan, and pushing her back to the waiting room with all the other retired, resting, and unused concepts, then scratches out the word "Vael" and replaces it with "Grace."
Then she tells Phil that his text color is irritating, he causes way too much trouble for her (working out all the tangles a retcon causes is tough, after all) and that he should really try and play a bit nicer with others before someone just decides to off him for good. That said, the fairly snarky character slips back behind the scenes to go fix a problem someone else has caused, rolling her eyes on the way.
And... action!
Grace smiles apologetically.
"I can understand your point of view, but this isn't exactly evidence supporting your innocence, nor does it give a real excuse for your actions.
"So why don't we try something else? Why did you drop your robot- Iggy- in the first place? I assume it was indeed related to the content of your speech?"

Vasquez nods and goes to a private room, waiting for him. "Did you find anything?"

Raz nods
Uh, yeah. She's alive but injured as far as I can tell. A bunch of the locals are looking after her. Pretty well as far as I can tell. Security's tighter than a Drow's pants. Popular woman, your mum.

Wait, what?
"Riv betrayed my trust. He hurt good people with weapons and armor I designed. The Empire wasn't going to do anything more than destroy Excelsior Tech and clear it out, which really would only be a minor setback to him, and they didn't even do the job right. Besides, killing him if he used my designs for anything even remotely evil was part of the agreement," Phil scowls the entire time he explains this.

"About a month back, I was finally crawling back out of my hidey-hole after the last of my non-machine friends had been killed, my intelligence robots had lost the signals they were supposed to follow, so I didn't know nearly as much about the goings-on as usual, and I figured I should start trusting again. I was short on cash, so I sold some of my designs to Riv, lightly armored reaction suits and rapid-rate coil guns. At the time, all I knew is that he liked to humiliate superheroes. I...I regret selling him those designs, but I did build failsafes into them, so I doubt he's using them any more. At least, not safely," Phil grins at that last part.

"Er...alright, Mainframe, you're the one who knows about legal stuff. Sorry, it's been lovely speaking with you, but I'm not allowed to anymore. Or something like that."
Phil actually looks sad about it. D'aww.

"I am not authorized to give you orders. However, it is in your best interest to discontinue," Mainframe says. After its player remembers she was going to use the more readable font color.
"That's all very well. I think I have enough notes to get an accurate idea of the situation anyway. Thank you for your cooperation."
Grace says with a smile. She heads out and returns to the Council chambers, giving a sigh as she enters.
"That... did not go as I imagined it would."
