If there was a duck watching him all the while, he'd be inclined to be more charitable.

I just bought a comic book second hand. This is rare for me but it was a bargain. I'm not really into comics... But there is a pretty bad crack on the spine. On closer inspection the cracked spine opens to the only page in the book featuring a naked lady.
She's not even a sexy naked lady...

It owns your soul now!
Heh, I can't stop eating; yet I'm still stick-thin. Does not compute.
Oh god, they all secretly evolved from wolves, this is why they can blend in with mundane society before making off with our women and children.

Re: Absolmorph's Azoic Arete of Adventitious and Aimless Random Banter - RB 161
I just had a dream I met Thufir and Curly. Only Curly didn't actually look like Curly, but Thufir did look like himself, but I didn't recognize Thufir until Curly recognized me. And then we talked for an hour, while I was supposed to be checking out at the supermarket to head to the car on my vacation or something. Thufir was being the checkout guy, and I vaguely remember just knowing that not-curly also worked at the supermarket...
Neither of you had accents either.

Re: Absolmorph's Azoic Arete of Adventitious and Aimless Random Banter - RB 161
Gotcha. Tell me if you don't find that surreal enough, I'll find something else. Probably from Weebl.
Aww, thank you. And it seems you lot have all ingrained my height into your minds, because no one mentioned it when I said I fell asleep curled up on a footstool. That did surprise me.
You are? That's interesting.
Randomly...?
Did something happen? And snark is awesome. I have personally boycotted the Hunting of the Snark for its pro-anti-snark content. We shall win this fight!
You think you're accentless, but that's because it's your voice. I don't hear an accent on myself or my father, but his Dutch accent is so thick some people can barely understand him, and I assume that I'd have a typical American accent to you.Spoiler: This signature is a historical relic from a long-ago time of regular forum activity.Aww man! Re: Absolmorph's Azoic Arete of Adventitious and Aimless Random Banter - RB 161
Terry Pratchett can't seem to decide between Borgh's description and a sexy redhead with catlike tongue. On a related note, why do so many people seem to find Pollution attractive? White Haired Pretty Boy is all very well, but someone who makes everything around him scummy and dirty? As well as how he apparently looks rather like an alien in every fan drawing I've seen of him, so are people attracted to that look? Famine looks better than that.

Re: Absolmorph's Azoic Arete of Adventitious and Aimless Random Banter - RB 161
So, this weekend is Free RPG day, and my LFGS has extended it into a full weekend event. I'll be trying my hand at running a Serenity RPG session for the early afternoon of the Saturday, and then be a player in one of the two games that will be run during the evening.
The two games that will be run on the Saturday evening will be:
- Call of Cthulhu
- All Flesh Must Be Eaten
Which of those would you have chosen if you had a chance?
From what I've heard about them, both seem really interesting and I want to try them both.

Re: Absolmorph's Azoic Arete of Adventitious and Aimless Random Banter - RB 161
She's pretty short...
Either your idea of the appearance of War is very unusual, or you don't know what Curly looks like.
Well, Good Omens has a female War... she still looks nothing like Korly though.
How could you?!
That was the implied meaning of my
I wouldn't say having two different appearances in different books indicates that he "can't decide".
Presumably they imagine him as looking attractive, rather than how he looks in those fan drawings you've seen. Since there are no official illustrations, it's all down to the individual imagination. On which note, you can't say Famine looks better, only that your mental image of Famine looks better than your mental image of Pollution."'But there's still such a lot to be done...'
YES. THERE ALWAYS IS."

Re: Absolmorph's Azoic Arete of Adventitious and Aimless Random Banter - RB 161
And now we enter the realm of "but they are mental images anyway so how do you know Mooncat's image of famine is not some gorgeous (if a bit skinny) tanned surf dude"
also, now I have to read good omens, which will bring the counter to five Pratchetts in two weeks. To be fair, last weekend I went sailing with the parents and if I don't have internet and barely electronics I usually munch through a book per day.
