Right below the 'Post Reply' at the top.

Of course, if you've read all the posts in the thread, it won't be there.

There's also a 'view first unread' button (green square with white downwards arrow) next to thread names whether you're looking at them from the normal forum view or your subscribed threads. That's basically all I do. I have like six threads I'm subscribed to and I just hit 'view first unread' every time it tells me there's a new post.

Just noticed the joke in Panels 3-4 of #587.

When Roy says that there were two explosives in Kaboom's room, while Haley is running towards it to get more gold, Elan is making the face. Never noticed that before.

Edit: Elan said that Haley could make out with any of our recurring villians you want. But now i understand she did

Ten strips ago, when Haley is petrified V's expression is one of utter horror and shock. I guess I was too busy looking at Elan and running around my house screaming about Haley being petrified and Z coming back, but now that I do notice it it is utterly heartbreaking.

That's (probably) not beer. You generally don't keep beer in a flask and you certainly wouldn't mix it with tea. I'd guess it's something like whiskey or rum.

Edit: Although, I guess Durkon might just love beer that much. It's possible *shrug*.

In a bonus strip in War and XPs he was carrying holy beer in a flask. It was specifically stated to be beer, but I admit, I don't know.

In #399, V suggests the Linear guild battle in a gladitorial arena. Then one of them does.

Maybe this is part of the "made up" aspect of your statistics, Shiny, but your math is wrong. It should be 36%, not 46%.

I just noticed Tarquin called Xykon a scenery chewing villain, it's getting much harder to believe that the Giant doesn't read TvTropes.

Who says he doesn't. Considering how many tropes he's codified, it sounds rather likely that he peruses the site from time to time.

Giant says he doesn't, I'll find the post and link you to it.

Edit: Here. It seems he only goes there if he's been linked to it as a criticism or a point, so I doubt that he would have been linked to scenery chewing beforehand, as he never referenced it before.

For all that I love the site, if you think TV Tropes invented the idea of scenery-chewing, you need to get out more.

No, not the concept, but the term I've never heard anywhere else. Ever.

It's a theater term, and having gone to an arts based college the Giant would probably have been familiar with it.

I heard it years before there was a World Wide Web, much less a TV Tropes..."chewing the scenery" is a very common phrase for an actor who over-eggs his part. It's even in the dictionary:

TV Tropes never pretended to be inventing anything, only repertorying already-existing tropes. Including for tropes name; if there's a widely-known term used, it will get preference. "Jumping the Shark", "Hanging a Lampshade", "Breaking the Fourth Wall"... all those are descriptive terms used in fiction for a while already.

PS: In your case, please consult "Older Than They Think".

On the other hand, terms like "Narm", "Flanderization", and "Xanatos Gambit" most likely weren't. I believe there's a substantial faction on TVtropes that wants every trope name to be some obscure term they coined, in the hopes that the meme takes off (which, of course, it rarely does).

Well, that could be in a different flask. You wouldn't drink your holy water flasks, would you? And you wouldn't put beer in your tea, would you? So this is probably a second flask, with brandy or whiskey or something in it.
