Ok, so I want to run/play a GURPS game but have to many ideas, so I'm looking into what people would be interested to play. I'll start at the most basic things.
First question is what Era would you prefer to play at, here's the options you have to vote on:
Stone Age
Classical
Medieval-Age of Sail
Industrial Revolution-Modern Day
Sci-Fi
Post-Apocolyptic
I'll keep this going until I think I have a good feel for what the most people want for this, then narrow things down within the extremely broad eras.

Would definitely be interested, I have played only WWII GURPS and when we did play the DM handled every aspect of the game from characters to rules, we just told him what we wanted to do and rolled dice.
So I would be a total newbie, but I'm definitely interested, I would be interested in any setting that is Pro-military.

Hmm, so any vote on Era?

I'm a big fan of Gurps and wouldn't mind a game with a sci fi or fantasy bent. There is a soft spot in my heart for games a bit closer to the Industrial Revolution, though.

Damn it: I don't really have time for this. Yet. . . it's GURPS! I'm drowning in fourth edition books and still never got to play it. How could I pass it up?
Ah, count me in! Post-Apocalyptic or Fantasy, I'd say.

Lol, your drowning situation is why I'm doing this. I'm drowning in the suckers to, but noone runs GURPS.

I vote for anything steampunk, cyberpunk or sci-fi with fantasy flavor. Anyway, I'll be playing only in (at least a little) high powered game (200 points min, I think), my IRL GURPS table is used to do 50 points campaign or so, with one always pushing to "hamsters campaigns" or "10 points campaigns"...

I'm very interested on this. the eras i would like to play would be the Post-Apocolyptic (something like the Fallout PC game would be nice, althoug it not need to be just a copy of that setting). the Industrial Revolution would be a good idea too,i was thinking in something pre-World War 1(beginning of the 20th century) leading the characters to play as soldiers or something else in the war itself.

Exact power level will be determined based off the campaign concept- a real world game, say soldiers in WW2 would be around 150 points, a fantasy or Sci-Fi game might be 250. It's not listed as a possibility currently, but a game based on Swiss Family Robinson would be about 100 points, so as a reference.

Looks like we've got multiple votes for Fantasy, so I'm figuring that means Middle Ages, Industrial Revolution, Sci-Fi, and Post Apocalypse, so everyone please vote for one of those 4, to bring it down.

Terribly interested. Voting for Sci Fi, since I've got a (kinda) high point character built using the psionics rules, and I've always wanted to use him.

Well, let's see. i'm a bit of tired in playing on medieval settings and i don't know very well what a Sci Fi setting would be like,so i'll not choose these two. i would love to play in a Post-Apocalypse too,but first i would need to know the background of the setting.in the other hand,I'm in the mood for a historical-realistic setting too.its really hard to choose between these two,but i think i'll keep with the later.so my vote goes to the Industrial Revolution era.

Sounds cool. I'd like to point out though that setting specifics will be decided one once we actually have an era.

Magic plus industrial revolution. Is like chocolate and peanut butter. Or more accurately chocolate and tuna.
Ah, lol. There's been good stuff done with magic mixed in with industrial revolution or modern settings, but they tend to work better if it's hidden rather than intigrated.
