Depends on your style. Diamond Mind is considered to be the strongest school overall, so that's a good choice. Iron Heart is the "tanky" school, White Raven is the "(de)buffer" school, Tiger Claw is focused on movement and has utility, while Stone Dragon is a bit weak but has some defensive capability. A friend of mine got great mileage out of Sudden Leap (minipounce) and Hunter's Sense (scent stance), two 1st level Tiger Claw maneuvers.
I love Iron Heart, myself. I think you should focus on those two. Also, other disciplines are available with feat expenditure, and some moves aren't half bad. Burning Blade, at 1st level again, gives you +1d6+IL (cap 5) to all attacks in a round for a swift action, awesome!
Considering my stance choice, probably not a bad idea. I think Iron HEart is going to be my secondary stance...with maybe a small dip into White Raven, as I plan Rubido to eventually figure out how to be a good team leader.
Just keep in mind that the two biggest offenders, Iron Heart Surge and White Raven Tactics, will be nerfed to a reasonable level. We'll see about it when we reach that level.
I love the mental image of Melchia just silently standing there, staring at his enemies, as he breaks their minds. Rubido may be a warrior of the physical domain, but Melchia could have an epic battle without making a sound sitting in the corner of a crowded tavern, and nobody would know.
Ah, telepathy. Easily the creepiest psionic discipline (although psychometabolism comes close).

The Telepath I've been DMing for the past two years turned into the opposite of Melchia. He picked up all the best blasting powers and all the best damage boosters and turned into a full blaster. He says his role model is Vegeta now, and he burns ridiculous amounts of power points so when it's his turn we all picture Vegeta shouting his heart out until the veins come out of his forehead.
I believe he managed to burn 180 PPs in one round one of the last sessions.
Whoops, I meant to roll this IC. Knowledge pertaining to Incarnum is either Arcana or the Planes, yes? Here's a Knowledge (arcana) from Melchia: (1d20+4)[18]

Slight problem here, I sorta need 8 hours of continuous rest (I'm not sure if being on watch will count as rest, but I doubt it) for my spells. If Rubido can take second watch, we'll be golden, but I'm not sure if he'll be good with only 4 hours of sleep before having to be up again.
Rubido is fine with trancing for only four hours, but still needs another four of rest (like eventless guard duty) to recover from fatigue.
Uh, sorry about not having you roll knowledge. For Totemists, it's either Nature or the Planes. Um, I don't think any of you guys has one of these, am I right? For general questions, yes arcana or planes. That roll allows Melchia to recognize the dwarf as an Incarnum user and a Totemist.
Rubido has three Spellcraft rolls to identify soulmelds: (1d20+5)[13] fail, (1d20+5)[10] fail, (1d20+5)[18] fail
EDIT: I'd link to my character sheet so I could introduce you to Otrino, but apparently Myth-weavers has decided to engage in activities unmentionable on this forum. Not only is the sheet unviewable, but I wasn't able to complete purchasing his equipment before the site did its thing.
Apologies for the inelegant introductory post. I debated between this and setting up camp somewhere else so we could meet up later, but settled for this in the interests of saving time.

Oh, good, now I can actually see the sheet. Let's see...
I'm going to disallow Rapid Summoning, because I'm a strong believer in the fact that summoning is very strong and the 1 round casting time is a determining balancing factor. There is a +1 metamagic feat that does the same thing, if you want to take it.
Enhanced Summoning, instead, is ok because you are still taking Spell Focus (conjuration). I don't like how that alternative class feature is used to avoid prereqs, but in this case I see no problem with it.
Concentration is erroneously marked cross-class, as is Spellcraft. A couple other skills are too, but those are the ones with ranks in it. Not that it matters.
I believe you probably inverted the Spells per Day and Bonus Spells columns.
Welcome again!
EDIT: oh yes another thing. For HP, I have people roll them after level 1, and take average (round down) if it's lower. So you'll need to roll the HD for level 2.

Well, my third-level feat slot is currently unallocated, so that's lucky. This also allows me to pick up a familiar (immediate magic iinvolves taking immediate actions, is stupidly broken for conjurers in any case, and doesn't actually do much for my summoning), and I think I'll go with the snake.
Given your feelings on Enhanced Summoning I'll get rid of it even if it's approved.

They weren't when I saved the sheet. I blame myth-weavers.

I did not. I get one base spell per day plus one from high Intelligence plus three from specialization. Of course, I did use the extra slots to prepare Mount twice.

If you insist. (1d4+2)[4]

Ah, you see it that way. I see my "standard" slots as 1+3, and the bonus spells derived from high Int.
Eh, can't be helped if I wanted to keep up with a caravan (which to me implies a group of animal-drawn wagons).
On another note, it's exposition fairy time! Justified in-universe I suppose by people being less willing to perforate your flesh with steel dowels if they know who you are and what you're about.

Ah, well, a caravan typically moves at the pace of a human or less, because they have to travel at half speed to look for food. This is the reason the party manages to catch up on foot.
Knowledge (History) roll for Necratal: (1d20+5)[16]
You know Necratal as a city which grew a lot by convincing the Anmer, the Dwarven kingdom, and other minor nations to fight each other and weaken themselves. They subsequently exploited their weakened neighbours to gain more power.

Okay, change "keep up" in my last post to "catch up". Nothing says Otrino's been at this assignment long

Jerks. Also, apparently, master manipulators or incredibly lucky if no one saw through that scheme. It only takes looking at a map.
Whose Knowledge check was that?
