That's why I suggested it, I've seen lots of webcomic artists say "yeah I'm going to put this out daily" and even manage for a while before folding under the pressure they put on themselves. Moreover it helps get the audience into a pattern of reading on a certain day, making it easier to build readership. If Gajin Manga didn't go "under" as it were, I would have made a similar suggestion to you a little while back. The only reason I waited till now was because it's just a good idea when putting up fiction in this format to have a decent amount of material to start with.
Oh, I don't like doing personal projects to a schedule. I find that I'm usually pretty good at keeping myself motivated. Schedules that are too strict usually end up making me rush things and I really hate that - comics are built from the ground-up, after all, and the beginning is the second-most important part for attracting new readers, since that's what they'll be looking at once they hit that 'First' button.
I do intend on doing something like 2 pages a week or similar. Nothing too rigid, but something that the readers can expect. I personally think one of the reasons OotS is such high-quality is because Rich doesn't really adhere to a strict schedule.
Hmmm... the majority of my readership seems to be on this forum, although there are some commenters on the Drunkduck site that seem to like Thaumaturge. I've been featured already! Wonder how I should continue building readership...
*pull...tick*
Things broken*throws over shoulder... BANG!!!*
sorry...
Anyways from what I got I think Nomen is suitcaseman and he's looking to join the tribe for one of two reasons:
1.Running away form past wrong doings, to him or by him
2.Looking for something to help his stutter or self-a-steam issues
He walked into the head tent or building or what-ever and saw le interesting woman.
And a few other theorys, but most of them involve quantum physics.

If anything from my point, I say a mix of the 2 and also its really good either way
p.s @ Frostedflame.... Really..... I feel like I'm at twitter.....* pulls out 44.magnum, puts in one bullet... spins it... pull tigger... tick......* Any one else game?
Anyway I don't see why it matters where El draws inspuration for this comic I just hope they keep going on...
"@Name:" is usually forum speech for "talking to this person but not quoting". Think it actually originated in FFRPGs as a way of indicating telepathy.
Spoiler
Excellent artwork on the last few pages, Elagune. I am both intrigued as to Nomen's history and awed by the people and symbols of his home. Can't wait to see more.

Sorry on other forums I read your able to tag people in posts without putting their name, I guess I got use to that.

It would seem that there appears to be a negative to having the author so established in a forum before hosting, we talk here rather than on the site, so it looks like the comic is less viewed than it is.
Though I wonder what joke "fell flat"? I can only assume it was the evolution joke, which I found hilarious.

Hey, do you mind when the next update comes out if I post a comment* giving the URL of this thread to show that there's a good fanbase despite the lack of comments? I'd also like to link to the Bibliography thread.

I tried, you can't. You can hide which member you are, but can't post as a guest. But Elegune can put up comments, as the creator of the comic, and a member.

Quick update on the condition of the comic right now.
I've done two more pages already, and my pace is making me think that starting off with once a week is going to be too slow. What do you guys think of having updates twice a week for now?
Also, I've picked up volumes of Dragonball, Rurouni Kenshin, and One Piece. Nothing quite like having my most inspirational manga around in paperback form to get a guy motivated!
So you can upload your pages months in advance, as soon as you make them, but no-one sees them until a standardized date?
Sweet ........ If my art skills improve to the point where I can do a webcomic, I think I'll use DD too.
Edit: Wendy..... Ninja Looter indeed.

Two pages a week sounds great! Will you pick two days out to update on?

At the moment I've set it so that every Saturday and Wednesday you guys will get new pages.
A side-effect of this is that I might forget to announce in this thread when they're up. If I do end up missing doing so, I'll be much obliged if you guys can give a link to the new page!
One small thing Elagune: the word should (probably) be "Reagent" not "Regent." A regent is someone in control, while a reagent is a component used in a reaction. Unless of course the card is governing or controlling, which I guess works, but regent tends to be only applied to people.

I'm a long time lurker in this thread, but I'd like to say that I enjoy this webcomic. It's very well paced with good graphics and plot. Currently one of my top ten (which currently lists more than ten).
Anyway how long would you want us to wait before posting a link to the new comic? I don't really want to steal your thunder by posting before you can.

Mine started in the wilderness outside of town
But about the previous page, last panel -- I'm not familiar with the convention of giving a bump to people to show embarrassment. I'm more used to see it as a "family friendly" consequence of violence. If it didn't magically appear and disappear, I'd have thought Nomen hit her.

Oops, good thing you pointed it out. Can't believe I missed this.
This version of the page was never supposed to make it there. Hitting people doesn't fit in with Nomen's character.
Haha, yeah. I figured it's time to get serious with my webcomics. That means advertising too! Also, flabort. I wasn't aware you were Canadian. The script's not to difficult to decipher, by the way. At least the artist of this piece managed to.
Chapter one is completed now, and a new page is going to appear every Wednesday and Saturday. This schedule is pretty slow, though, and I think I'll be able to bump it up to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday instead come Chapter 2.
I for one haven't deciphered it. Yet.
But if it's not hard, I could try.
Oh, it isn't hard at all. I could give it away, but... I'll hint. Take a look at the poster that Elagune linked, it says something very familiar...
