I agree, the end of something good is at best bittersweet. Damn, I remember how I felt watching the last ep of MST3K....

Just a minor concern regarding the Sticky Shticks adventure game expansion:
I pledged $40 and chose the $24 reward package. I had added $10 onto my pledge to cover shipping to the UK and $6 to add a Sticky Shticks expansion. However, I recieved when I the reward email on February 27th, there didn't seem to be an option to add the expansion. Have I misunderstood here?

Also, I messed up the $24 level and left out the choice for Sticky Shticks. If you pledged at that level and included the $6 extra, just indicate it in the Comments field. Sorry.

I hope Rich already has his ordered -- that thing just looks... sweeeeeet!!!
I have to go with that assessment. Under normal circumstances, I'd be a little green eyed monster of envy. But, nope... not in these circumstances.
Rich, if you don't buy that lovely beast of HD heavenliness (and struggle for a good week -OK, 2 weeks- with working out how to use it) when the bank account goes *ding*, I'll not forgive!

Whoa... on the kickstarter banner is Elan, Hayley, Durkon and Roy... but NO Belkar(that will be dead on the end of the year) and Vaarsuvius that fell into the trap... well, probably (or i hope) it is just a stupid thought. But if that it does mean the end of Vaarsuvius...
That's just part of continuing the comic story from the Kickstarter update charts. Belkar is tied up with a long line of people beating him up, and Vaarsuvius is in that line waiting for a turn.
It's taken from the final chart, where Belkar was too busy being kicked to say thanks, and Vaarsuvius was too busy lining up to kick him.

This reminds me - just before the drive ended, Rich conceeded and agreed that some of the funds would go to assorted this-and-that (like the Cintiq, upgraded servers, etc).
But that line/status is missing from the Workometer. Rich, you cannot leave that off - you deserve it, and are entitled to it!!

Seconded!
Add "Office Supplies" on the workmeter, as well: that'll include a reinforced desk, a wonderfully ergonomic chair (leather optional) and, more importantly, a new rig to cope with the new tablet-kit. And, all well deserved.
Filing cabinets might have to happen to deal with the IRS back-draft from the drive, but, they're more boring... I mean the cabinets, not the IRS. Honest!

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I'm not sure if the Giant would consider it a necessity or a sacrilege to put some Order of the Stickers on the Cintiq. But I'd certainly appreciate an action shot with a bestickered Cintiq

I figured that it would just look too forced for V to be smiling appreciatively, he/she does a little of this but none of this. And Belkar smiling is just scary.

Ah, but he owes us his owing himself a Cintiq (and other miscellaneous office supplies).

When do we want it? When Rich can provide it without noticeably affecting the quality and update schedule of the main comic!
I'd prefer it if Rich found a way to split his consciousness between ten different Rich-clones, eight of whom produce strips and bonus content at the speed of light, while the other two rob banks to help fund OOTS.

Actually, I would say the Workometer shows the progress of REWARDS... and any other stuff that he announced would happen as goals were met, etc. And there is no problem with it showing rewards for himself.
Just as the workometer shows the progress of the reprinting of the books (several goals), and the progress of various strips/PDFs (more goals), and even the progress of other extras like coloring books (yet more goals), it also deserves showing the status that 'operating fund' reward (albeit a reward to himself).
No, I'm not asking for every minute detail of how he spends it, just something to show that he is indeed processing those funds. He designs new plans for the site - yellow box lights up. He pays for the IT help to do it - green box lights up. He buys his Cintiq - another green box is light up. He secretly takes a break and goes to Disneyland - all we know is... another green box lights up.
Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Well, a cintiq seems a fine tool, and i expect rich would probably find good use for it to produce more oots, so it would be an oots-oriented purchase and not personal swag.
And anyway, even after you take away taxes, shipping, what is due to kickstarter and amazon, and the cost of the various stuff, rich should still end up with enough money to buy one.
But on another topic, he said he would try to update at the beginning of this week, and still no new kickstarter update. Shall I start to get worried?

No update yet because I didn't manage to get enough done to warrant it. Generally, the updates will come when I have something to report, and this week has been filled with meetings and appointments, but not much progress. Maybe tonight or tomorrow.
That said, the magnets arrived in Houston today. Shipping of magnet-only packages should begin tomorrow.

New update!
… so many boxes with envelopes! =O
(And seeing the picture of the Roy magnet really really makes me wish there was a way for me to get the other three magnets. Having an incomplete set makes my collector heart sad. )

Agreed! I didn't realize that there would SOOO MANY needed. Also LOVE the remark, "Does not stick to Wood.": Good also to see that the Sticky Schticks and coloring book are moving along nicely. The Giant even has started sketching out some stuff for Dim Sun.

What? Magnets do not stick to wood? Since when??
Wow, I can't imagine what a headache that first item on Five Things Rich Did Since the Last Update must have been. That sounds like the kind of thing that would leave you banging your head against the wall in frustration.
