This is the OOC for the PF Dark Sun game, Athas Unchained.
Until I have the IC threads up, please use this time to get to familiarize yourselves and formulate your survival tactics.
Go ahead and pick speech colors; equipment will be up with the IC. Please note that this game will be set at the same time, in the same universe. I've effectively gone and made a game of 8... oh god, why... but that only makes it all the more interesting. If both sides lose a sufficient number of players, I'd be fine with the parties "joining forces."
Be prepared, because Athas is going to get a little messier.
Awesome. i get the well vaunted job of keeping four other suicidal maniacs from killing themselves....JK JK. Perfect group size in my opinion. Since i can carry four other people in my collective. I appreciate that you didn't actually leave any of us out either. This is gonna be fun.
A man use to a hard hard life recently betrayed, but can be very useful if allied with.
A big insect that smashes things.
A rat, that can bite or shoot me in the back.
A tribal warrior woman that seems trustworthy.
Hmm i fear kite will come off as a bit racist. He is use to training with skilled military fighters, and being around the upper class. In that environment he would probably consider anyone from outside a major city just a savage, especially non-humans. Hopefully its an eyeopening experience for him.
I choose this color by the way.

- Probably tastes like rotten meat (Emergency Rations).
- Humans, not as good as elves, can be tasty if cooked the right way.
[Actual] Argath's view:
- Small and probably cunning, perhaps he knows a way to escape from here when the time comes.
- Wise looking fellow, might know psionics or mage considering his slight build.
- Looks fairly strong for a human, always good to have someone on the battlefield that knows his stuff.
- Does seem all that useless without weapons or armor like the others, she may never need a weapon but that doesn't mean she'll never need a shield.
Unless I'm ninja'd to it, I'll go with RED. PURPLE Then!
Wow, red, dark red and sienna are all taken already? Someone's nosing in on my schtick ;) . I'd really prefer to choose a warm color, though - will people be able to tell us apart if I take Dark Orange?
Also, added a bit to my backstory. Nothing too concrete, though.

Stupid ninja mouse...
Should your speed be 40?

The way Meg sees it, she's with a bunch of humans, only one of whom looks tough enough not to need someone bigger and stronger to protect him. But when she finds out one of them is a druid, that is going to mean a lot more respect. Plus - druids can make water - that's serious respect right there. In the mean time, she unthinkingly sees the others as unjustly in the same position.
OOC combat tactics - Meg can create any weapon necessary, just by expending her focus. So if we do need a solid front line to keep the casters able to toss sleep, etc, then Meg can use a big reach weapon, with trip or simply some 1d10+7 damage. She can also give herself temp hp. Hopefully she starts with decent armour and weapon too.
Xiro sees you all as slack jawed idiots who don't know left from right. Don't take offense. he'll warm up to you later.

So i was the one singled out? Especially being the only non martial character in the party?
The equipment lists are being added as I write this.
Oh, and the master's name is Valorus, FWIW (just so I don't have to keep calling him "the master," making Grot seem like Igor).
By the way, my character's name is Ogalae, not Oglae. And huh, so there's no full BAB character in our group and another divine caster? Meh, maybe I should have gone ranger. At least I have an idea if this character dies ;) .

Since the question's been raised, I'll answer everything right here.
In regards to the weapons' sizes and what they are: Light Melee Weapons:
Small Maquahuitl: a shortsword
Bone Dagger: it is what it is
One-Handed Melee Weapons:
Alhulak: think of it as a scorpion whip
Impaler: a handaxe
Maquahuitl: a longsword
Wahaika: a club
Two-Handed Melee Weapons:
Great Maquahuitl: a greatsword
Maul: a big hammer
Tkaesali: a ranseur/longspear
Ranged Weapons:
Javelin: thrown; as on the SRD
Shortbow: as on the SRD
-The javelins and arrows come in cloth quivers.
-The tkaesali, maul, and big maquahuitl have rope loops attached so they can be slung across the back.
-All other weapons can be assumed to fit into/hang from a belt/sash (which, if I've given you armor, that armor comes with).
Piecemeal armor's been slightly fudged by me in certain cases (it didn't make sense why an armguard wouldn't provide protection).
Also, @The_Shaman: my bad. Didn't see the extra 'A' in Ogalae.
yes, you have more healing. mine has far superior range, so i don't have to be close enough to be instagibbed by two or three melee characters that my party is for some reason chock full of. So, i stay way in the back, and they focus fire you guys down, one healing capable character after another.
Over the years, I've learned sarcasm doesn't travel across cyberspace very well.

And so it begins... mwahaha...
Oh, and @Chained Birds: no worries, bro. I was honestly surprised, and it cut down on the feedback time.
If everyone's good with what they've got, I'm good to move along.
Quick note: I'm preparing some maps. It won't be fancy.
