She likes to sit on the collars of shirts rather than my actual shoulder. I don't complain because it forces her to rub softly against my neck :3
Pardon the poor webcam quality
Damn, you both look really amazing. Mabel certainly knows how to pose.

Hmm. That qualifies in spirit, I do believe. My turn!

The best of the bunch. Overhead, you can barely see the crack, and side view has all these other carpals in the way.
Four months? Criminy. It sounds easy, but I'm seeing just how bad "six to twelve weeks" can be in person... I can only imagine what a longer recovery is like...

@Maeglin_Dubh: Careful! I think there are people out to steal your hat from you, the fiends!

She probably sits on the collar instead of the shoulder because it's more natural for her to sit on something about the thickness of a twig. But that's my opinion from observing birds I've seen. (Unfortunately, no wild budgerigars, I'm too near the coast for that).
Anyway, doesn't really matter.
And yes, you do look very suave. Much more so than I could ever look.

Ooh, that looks like a fun one. I don't have copies of any x-rays of actually broken things. I broke an ankle, half my toes (but didn't bother getting doctors to check those), and a rib (which I never noticed until it had healed crooked, so no x-rays). I have some pics of my brain on my hard drive, though.
Yeah, joint injuries apparently take ages to heal. Lots of fluid rushes in to protect and lubricate the joint, which makes it kind of sensitive, and that can take ages to go down.
Yesterday was not a particularly good day. And it had managed to overwhelm me by ten-thirty in the morning. Bluh.

I'm currently going to a student gala (sadly I have no ranks in ride, so no gallopping), where I'm required to wear what is called in the Netherlands a 'Rokkostuum', I believe it's called White tie in the rest of the world

One of the nicest things someone has ever said to me! Thank you. Mabel prefers me to dress my best.

Thank you sir. - As to the collar, I think you're right -- it's just different than my budgie when I was younger who would sit anywhere and climb all over. I mean he used to perch on my dad's nose and throw his glasses off his face.

I like white tie a lot. Downton Abbey is a clothing feast for me.
Did you rent that? I keep turning the idea over in my mind of having white tie made, just to have.

The second picture isn't really working in your post. You forgot the IMG tags.
I certainly hope this was at an event of some sort and that you weren't just startling random passersby. I for one am not the sort of random passerby to startle in such a fashion because I would panic and start killing things.

One of the most interesting Derailments I've ever seen!
If my post contains any misspellings or formatting errors, please forgive me; I'm probably using my phone which has no spellcheck and makes me type out the format I want in my post.

1.) That is an excellent haircut/color. Just sayin', I am positively enthralled.
2.) If zombies manage to be that adorable on Z Day... I'd take my chances.
All in all, it looks like you had a lot of fun!

It was a lot of fun, freaking cold though.
Heh, thanks for both compliments
I'm pretty happy with my haircut and colour myself
