Pretty human woman. Spear or longsword & shield. Wearing something that could be described as "medium armor" in d20 ... while not preferred, sexy "bikini" armor is acceptable. Nordic/viking theme, perhaps even a valkyrie (no wings, please).

I hope these can help

I seem to find another one every time I read one of my posts!

Hmmm,

Axe and sword but no shield.
Spear and shield?
No shield but the armor is pretty good on this one, and it doesn't have one of those stupid horned helmets.
Something a little more RL
A little under armored.
A little over armored, but she just looked so cool.
I should mention, I prefer them not overly stylized. (which usually rules out CGI and anime-style stuff.) I prefer a realistic look (in art, if not armor.)
This girl's not related to anything in particular (including fantasy), but she's too hot not to post. I can always write her off as fitting in Exalted.

Hate to point it out, but it's a trace. Open that in one tab, then open the one below in another. Make sure they're the same size, then click between them.

In the meantime, enjoy this other art:

I tried opening both images in separate tabs and clicking between the tabs (that's the closest I could get to what you said), and it didn't do anything.
Edit: Oh I see, you mean the artist just traced it. Still, too good not to post. Plus, it's like those templates you see up on deviantart. You take an outline, add a bit, and give it colors of your choice to make it how you want it.
Oh, this is a can of worms. No, belay that. This is a veritable barrel of grass snakes, a hogshead of moray eels, a tun of piranhancondas. Is art just something beautiful, or does the technique used have bearing on it? I think it's a beautiful picture, as is the original photograph (model is Denise Milani, for the curious).
Digression: how much of photography is art, and how much is it recording and sharing? Is that an acceptable definition of art?
For me, though, the technique has to be taken into consideration. Speaking as a doodler, tracing raises my hackles because it is lazy. It doesn't help you to improve as an artist. It might help specific techniques (practice for inking, or something like that), but then you probably shouldn't be claiming it as your art. I checked Martixxx's page for the piece. If it had acknowledged the picture it used, I wouldn't have said anything. But this is misrepresenting something that is not your creation as such. Which would be a lie. And not the social lubricant type, either.
And now, back to the images:

I am looking for female pilots, preferably piston age or fantasy, not jet or space age. Other than a preference for goggles and revolvers over G suits and lasers, I don't really have a lot of specific requirements.

That said, I am an idiot, so I could be mistaken.
First, I am looking for an illusionst, a shadow themed one. I am looking more for a general mood than a look. A relatively dark picture, where a spellcaster of some kind is summoning up something shadowy, creating a mirage or in some other fashion confusing reality.
The second one I have a better idea of. I want a star themed wizard. Involved in astrology, prophecy, predicting the future. He should have all kinds of instruments with him, some kind of lab, maybe. A look of general wisdom and things was not meant to know (tm).
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse,” I said, sounding calm, probably inaudible in the midst of the screaming. “Inevitable. Wasn’t that how she put it? I told them. Warned them.”
-Taylor Hebert. Yes, I'm a proud Skittle.

Not space or jet age... that makes it a lot harder.
Warning: Large number of cake based images oncoming. if you have problems with sugar, it is suggested you look away now.
