Ritual Casters can cast one ritual for free per day (only for rituals that DO NOT have permament effects! Certain rituals which requires offering to external beings may still require components).
Ritual scrolls do not require any ingredients (exceptions - see above).

Rituals that only affect the caster has a 5 round casting time.
Rituals that affect the party or an object have a 1 minute casting time.
Rituals that affect a small area or multiple objects have a 5 minute casting time.
Rituals that affect a large area (including transportation, divination or scrying has a 10 minute casting time.
The ritual caster may choose to spend a healing surge to speed up the ritual by one fifth. However, any checks made have a -2 penalty. The ritual cannot be decreased beyond 5 round casting time.
The Rings

The rings allow you to learn, progress and advance faster than anyone else. Skills can be learned almost instantly, given the right stimulus, and what would originally take years to learn could be done in weeks.
If you remove this ring, you will not be able to gain exp and you can only cast level 1 spells and skills. Putting the ring back on will remove this conditions.[/b]

I'll take Green, to represent my Nature skills and stuff.
About my background: I want it to grow with the story. If the others want to know something, they should just ask and I'll answer. Maybe I've hidden motives, but that's not very likely, so my answers will be mostly honest.
Other idea: I don't know about it myself. I discover my history during the adventures. But that could be a little too weird.

The elven wizard died, so his player rolled a new character, a Gray Elf wizard. (Funny thing, he was killed by the dwarven fighter's cursed axe. The fighter was happy, he had been 45 exp from a level-up) The new one was Lawful Evil, my character is a Chaotic Neutral Tiefling Druid.
(Me, Gray Elf, DM)
"I'll make this easy. I go to return the book and bump into him." "I punch him." "Honey badger bites his leg. I turn and leave." "I follow him." "I tell the fighter that we're being followed. We ought to get out of here as soon as we can. We go to the stable and grab our horses." "I run after them." "You see the Gray Elf that punched you earlier is following you." "The Elf's following us? I cast Flare." "You're dazed, but keep running." "I tell the human to stop." (Note that being called human is my character's berserk button) "Oh, Honey badger cares, now. He jumps the horse and bites his leg." "You're making it too hard to join the party!" "No, he's roleplaying. Which is what you all should be doing. "
On that subject, I'll go with Dark Slate Gray to match my exoskeleton.

I'm taking teal. I'm sure (maybe) you guys have noticed I use teal over in the WW portion of the forums when I can. Also green and gray, the logical choices for my character (aside from brown I guess?) are taken (so I have an excuse to take teal which I was gonna take anyway). So who's posting first?
@Matthias: You might at least want to privately confide in Vesth at least something about your character's backstory.
I got a kick out of the plot device device Mountain doesn't have and isn't using. I get the feeling that won't be the last we see of that.

I don't think me posting first is a great idea. It'd end up rather short as Mountain is the stoic sort and it would basically end up as "Mountain entered the cave, noticed the others, and said, 'Greetings.' " and that'd be the whole post as it'd be a little strange to have him just charge on ahead, ignoring everyone else to investigate.

Our sheet is still kind of empty, think we have powers (details yet to be added) chosen but not too sure. also is all the stuff that is there right for a Sandsoul?
Still need a name for this Young'un, He would probably the most talkative of the group, at the very least the most annoying, this will be the speech color if that is no problem.
The main jest of his story, is he is board of studying, has read books about adventuring and thievery and wants to give that a shot.
Oh and things have conspired to make us almost forget about this at every turn, and never gives us time to sit down and work on this and this alone.

An energetic annoying character needs a good long crazy name.
If that is alright, what will be the shortened name that you all call him?
Now on to the discussion of what was being discussed or what had just happened prior to Mountain showing up. Who are we going to say meet up first? Does any of us know each other yet? Considering that we knowingly started our kid off with out food he will more or less be begging for some at this point, well he was pampered most of his life so he is actually demanding in the tone of a beggar, but what would you guys like to have happened?
