Oh it's Fire Emblem... huh, never played any of the games. Heard good things though.
I think specifically it is a giantitp forum emblem character. And those games are fantastic, though notorious for their long waiting lists. (I'm lucky enough to be in the oldest running one currently, and the lord in another. Would probably still be on the waiting list for the first one if it weren't for the fact I rolled a healer. )

I've just done this to help me keep track of time in a game I'm running and I thought that maybe some people here would find it useful, so I'll just leave this here. Peace.
@Kasanip I'll have Clive visited Bukiya around 4 years ago, and he may have been a frequent patron then, so he'd know Non and Mystletinn and they know of him somewhat well. Since the two are beautiful ladies, I presume, Clive would have hit on them both, and depending on their personalities, Clive may have left an irritating impression on them or maybe if they're kind enough, just casual rejection and they are friends. Or not, it depends on you.
Anyway, the important thing is that 4 years ago, Clive didn't have Peacemaker yet, but now when he returns he does, so there might be some sort of resonance between her and Mystletinn.

In all seriousness, I'm a big fan of the series. It's not the only strategy game I enjoy; Jagged Alliance 2 and Warcraft 3 for example. I wish I could play Alpha Centauri though. I've heard that game is awesome.

So long as she explains why the captain's eyes popped, it should be fine. As far as Kessia is concerned, if some idiot signs a magic contract and then breaks it, it's their own fault; if he didn't like her terms, he shouldn't have taken her as a passenger.
If you were more thinking 'why is Hakuhale going to approach her in the first place', her having a half-Sireni as a member of her crew should probably be enough to indicate that she's unlikely to mind Driftfolk too much, and Leshi could easily be out on deck at a time when she could be seen by Hakuhale. Or someone from the ship could approach her.
If you could go ahead and have someone approach her, that would be a good way to start a scene I think.
I wish I could play Alpha Centauri though. I've heard that game is awesome.
It is awesome, I does have a flaw though, the manual I got with it was over 200 pages long...

As for Jagged Alliance 2, I should get to finish that sometime. Got 3 towns left to retake (including Meduna) and I've got my mercenaries all geared for it. (especially my favorite, Scope) Just all a matter of getting it done.
...DarkDM, did you ever take a look at the 1.13 'version' (really a mod) of JA2? I have yet to play that yet because I was recommended to play through the vanilla (1.12) version first. If you did, I was wondering you opinion on it.

So I'm thinking about starting an adventure. A few ideas bouncing around, but I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining?
If I can get my character done in time (oh writer's block; you haunt me so ) then I would probably enjoy coming in. Of course a mercenary like my own would need an incentive to join in unless it is a critical thing.

Strategy Games aren't really my suit... (I happen to hate anything which requires me to use guns and doesn't have an auto-lock system of sorts, the only exception I've found is Team Fortress 2 just for it's sheer silliness. A lot of thinking and split-second decision making to do, resource management, army management, ect. ect. I tried, oh I tried, but I could never get my head wrapped around it all. I liked the worlds they lobbed me into, but I just couldn't get into the gameplay.
No, I'm definitely more of the "playing as a single person" kind of strategy. League of Legends, for instance. (Ironically, League has a lot of resource management and strategy involved, and for a while I suffered under terrible gameplay, but now I really enjoy the hell out of it). Yet, interestingly enough, I'm not super fond of MMO's. I've run around in Guild Wars, and it was fun up to a point, and I ran around in WoW, which was fun until the repetitiveness just drove me bored, to be all frank and honest. I have some hope for Guild Wars 2 (been watching a friend of mine play on his beta, looks pretty cool).
One question before I do my next post, Techno - would Lucrezia go drinking with the rest of the officers?
She wouldn't let herself get Drunk, but she'll definitely take a few swigs from the bottle (call her the semi-sober one who makes sure they all get back on the ship).
You know, I'm beginning to realize that when I chose to go from being a player to being the GM, I essentially went from being a mere leader of some nation to being God. And it feels good.

Good! I love smashing the heads of evildoers in. So much more fun than playing as a villain.
Does Jon have his own ship? If not, Option C might be an interesting way to get one.
