I'm waiting on DoomHat to confirm some things OOC, actually.

Huh. I could have sworn that you hadn't posted anything relating to that... I'll go get everything typed up, then.
Oh, also, would Hakuhale have any interest in helping resolve an issue with one of the other passengers?

Anything to earn her keep. She's typically game for anything at least a little dangerous!
Here's the issue she would be helping to resolve (though, obviously, the scene would change, and might start earlier, if she's going to get involved):

"This is ridiculous. I am a paying passenger. I demand that -"
"Being a paying passenger," Kessia interrupted, returning the man's glare, though rather more impressively than he'd managed, "does not give you the right to tell one of my crew you've got a charm you don't so you can sleep with her, then bloody near break her jaw when she finds out you got her pregnant and tells you she's going to tell me what happened."
Stepping back, she motioned a pretty girl, with a silvery-blue cast to her skin (save on her left cheek, where a black-gold bruise was forming), golden eyes, and kelp-green hair - though the bony ridges one familiar with Sireni might expect to see were far fewer in number than on most, making it fairly plain that she was at least half-human - forward.
"Your recommendation, Leshi? Though I'm afraid that, much as I'd like to, we can't cut off his balls or stick him in the the figurehead and open the hatch... Word gets around we did something like that to a passenger, people'll stop riding with us, no matter that he deserved it."
So... Up to you how she'd help, if she would.

Considering a half-Sireni, maybe now might be a good time to hammer out the relationship between Sireni and Merrow.
The problem I was having internally with the sort of deal you proposed between the Sireni and the Merrow is that the Merrow wouldn't necessarily go out of their way to acquire human corpses. The way I'm thinking most Merrow work, humans aren't too high up on the menu, mostly they prey on humans if they're A. Easy (like when they fall off of ships and drown/are drowning) or because they want something from them (like something their ships are carrying).
Sireni might not be a major threat to Merrow, but they'd still be dangerous and so Merrow wouldn't go out of their way to hunt Sireni, really only preying on them when they're alone or vulnerable, and considering things like this I don't know if the Merrow would do a trade off for just the bodies. That might be a part of the deal, but trading with the Sireni for things they acquired, or a cut of/access to the ships the Sireni bring in might be something they'd go for more.

Updating your character's page is non-optional. There are a LOT of characters and elements in this game and the wiki has proven to be essential for keeping track of everything. Adding your own story elements will be very much appreciated.

A character template for basic character layout would be appreciated.

I'll be sure to add them in once I've got my character ready. Just to ask, what are the various languages? I seem to be very lost on which one are foreign and which one is the general "common" language of the area.

Probably would. She'd most likely start by doing some augury to see how many times he's done this before.
There's a number of things she might do... She could 'guard' him for the remainder of the voyage and arrange a tragic disappearance once he's ashore.
She could try to get him to make a Blood Bargain sworn on his manhood to spend the rest of his days making up for the crime.
Failing all that she'd probably recommend straining him on the nearest landmass. No one would begrudge a captain that upon unruly passenger.
Alright, sounds good. What specific changes need to be made to that scene?

A cut of and/or access to the ships would certainly be doable. It makes it easier for them to trade for surface stuff if the Merrow can get it anyway, since that means that they don't have to deal with humans (unlike the Merrow, they have to eat sapients, since they're the only ones with the right sort of emotions, and humans are the most common people sailing, so they tend to prey on them quite often.)
Also, speaking of half-sea-people, if the Merrow and Merfolk have fish tails where their legs should be, how do they reproduce? It seems like the species should require some sort of magic to have started, and more to maintain their numbers, but I haven't seen anything about that in their Story Elements.
In addition, speaking of Story Elements, any tips on how to write up the Sireni? I'm not really too sure how one goes about defining a species in something like this.

I would assume they reproduce the same way many fish like some sharks and others do, and all cetaceans do, using the same general kind of reproductive organs humans have, perhaps somewhat modified for underwater usage.
I mean the lower half of their body is much less humanoid, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't have the same sort of reproductive organs many animals do. They're probably just hidden most of the time, like a great deal of animals' are.

Just jot down what first comes to mind. Maybe gen them like you'd write up an individual character? Appearance, typical behavior, origin, distinctive capabilities.
How awful does mine look? I will edit to be more specific with the advantage information, but I probably have to rewrite it or tool around in the source thing to get it all white.

Makes sense, I suppose. I guess my definition of what exactly constitutes the tail of a fish was overly restrictive.

I'll try that, I guess. Of course, it often takes me takes me a week or two to write up characters...

hooray!I'm here at last Andrew Nickolaï "Old Nick" Fleam, Most "Honorable" Judge of the Pirate Court
Spoiler
Age: 49 Affiliations: Pirate Court of Wayfarer's Point, The Wayfarer's Point Admiralty
Physical Description:
Spoiler
Old Nick is a fat man in his forties, stubby and nearly round. Not many can sincerly says than he look bright, or even efficient in any other ways than using a fork to eat. He usually wears clothes that don't shine out of the mass, but of rich fabric nonetheless, with a white periwig covered by a one-feathered hat. It's uncommon to see him without a smile outside of his courtroom, and ever more to see him with one inside
Personality:
Spoiler
With his look of fat idiot, people often misjudge and, frankly, underestimate the Judge. Fleam is not a gentleman : even with so many years without sailing and with little to no fights, plunders or thieveries, he's still a pirate, who killed as a daily job, and has no remorse on his actions. However, he's fair, disciplinarian and maybe the best judge a Pirate Court could wish for. In his spare-time, he's way more cool and level-headed, often the first to laugh at a joke or enjoy a drink, in a clear and somewhat disturbing contrast with the caustic man of the courtroom.
History:
Spoiler
Old Nick started his carrier as pirate when no one same could have thought of calling him "old". Many years later, having spent most of this time as first mate of a pirate ship, Andrew realised that risking his life for the wealth of the captain, with little for himself, wasn't exactly a good idea. He decided to abandon sailing and unship on the island of Wayfarer. He became a judge partly because of the power that come with the job, partly because he was good at exercising autority, and mostly because of the paycheck that a violent government was willing to give to a man who would probably end dead after a rancorous case. The fact is than Old Nick didn't earn his nickname by being really old, but by staying alive when most of the pirates didn't last their thirties:Andrew Nickolaï Fleam has a real talent to not being dead, and nobody who tried to prove it wrong was luck enough to withdraw their statment.
Advantages:
Spoiler
Combat Expertise I (Swashbuckling) (Uncommon)
Pirate I (Common)
Intelligence I (Common)
Authority I (Uncommon):Years as a first mate and years as a judge make that Andrew Fleam knows how to be obeyed. When he give an order, most of the people start doing what is asked before they realise what happenned, and this even if the judge has no legitimate rights to give them orders. Of course, Fleam knows better than use this trick on people that have no reason to obey him, since they tend to be very upset when they understand they have been fooled.
Pirates' Laws Expert (Rare)
Wealth I (Special)
Escape Mastery II(Uncommon):By a mixture of experience, training, survival instinct and adrenaline, Andrew is able to escape any dangerous situation with feats of agility and speed unbelievable for a man of his age and weight. This has saved his life many time, since nobbody seems to expect that kind of athletic accomplishment by the good ol' Nick.
Poison and Infection Immunity (Uncommon): The Judge of Wayfarer is resistant to most of the common poisons and infectious diseases
Follower I: Constables (Advantages: Combat Expertise I (Swashbuckling) (Rare)
Story elements:
Spoiler
Pirate Court of Wayfarer's Point: Buccaneers and pirates are not know for being reasonable people, but the ones that are living have learnt to not disturb the bigger fish. Wayfarer's bigger fish being the Pirate Lords, people tend to respect its thugish and straighforward authority, but the men foolish enough to not doing it end up before the Pirate Court. Mandated by the Lords to judge the common cases (dispute on booty sharing, mutiny, tax evasion, insurbodination and other crimes unauthorised by the Pirate's Code, as well to introduce the important ones to their judgement. A charming tradition was that the only Judge of the court will end up killed rather quickly, the job was taken by men who didn't have anything to loose.
Constables of Wayfarer's Point: A group of brutish thugs, hired with high fees to enforce the Pirate Lords' laws. They're usually pirates who can't or don't want to sail away from Wayfarer's Point, recruited because they're the biggest, strongest, scariest scums of the bunch. Not the sharpest knives on the stabbed man, they lack the imagination for not following the Pirate Lords' orders, but are often surpisingly aware of the Law and it loophole: since the constables are payed by the penalties of the crimes they stopped, there's probably no crimes that they can't charge you for. The only reasons why they aren't killed at sight is that it's one of the few crimes on Wayfarer with a death penalty.
Wayfarer's Point's Law against Duel and Bounty Hunt:
1. Duels and bounty hunts will be authorized as long as the one starting them pays the fees necessary for the autorization of this actions
1.1: Duel will have a fee amouting to one part of the loser's belonging for the Pirate Lords, nine parts for the winner.
1.2: Bounty hunt wil have a fee amounting to one part of the traget's bounty for the Pirate Lords, paid before the hunt's start, and six parts for the hunter.
2. Anyone able to win a duel against a Pirate Lord or to touch the bounty of a Pirate Lord's capture will be considered as a worthy candidate for the position of Pirate Lord.
Wayfarer's Point's Law against Corruption: Introduced by the Pirate Lord Gerard "Magnet" Wilkins, this law rules the punishment regarding bribes.
1. Anyone wich has been proven of bibery or of being bribed will have all his metallic possessions taken and distributd this way: one part for the consables, one part for the judge, three parts for the ones who made the discovery of the bribe possible and five parts for the Pirate Lords.
1.1: Metallic possessions will be taken from the culprit by any means necessary, as long as the cost of the recovering would exceed the price of the item.
2.Anyone rich enough or charismatic enough to bribe a Pirate Lord will be considered as a worthy candidate for the position of Pirate Lord.
The Dead Man's Chest: the Dead Man's Chest is a labyrinth built underneath the fortress of the Pirate Lords, at Wayfarer's Point. Filled with the deadliest traps a mad mind can think of, its center is the deposit box of the Pirate Lords for anything from plunders' loot to the money from the penalties. The only safe way to the center is a secret door in the Lords' Council room, locked by in ways said to be impossible to open withou the key, and only the Lords and the Master Treasurer have the key. Rumors are that some magic is involved, promting the popular saying: " The Dead Man's Chest? It's bad Voodoo!".
The name of the treasure vault come from the fact that Enric "Three-Eyes" Vorvodos, the first Pirate Lord ( the one that came with the idea, that it) is burried inside. After his death of a stroke in the middle of a Bar Brawl where he was beating evryone to pulp, the last will of the old bastard was, in some particularly ghoulish joke, to spend the eternity swimming in the wealth of his successors, probably as a reminds of how much they owned him. Pirates being fond of sick humor, they built the maze according to their leader's last wish and for the fury of all Pirate Lord forced to see Three-Eyes' last message every time they went into their coffer : "Come On, Little One, There's Enough of My Money For The Two Of Us."
Wayfarer: the First Island of Crossroad's Islands, where's built Wayfarer's Point, City of Pirates and Buccaneers Everywhere. The name of the island come from its discoverer, the explorer Gionno di Stagno, whose crew was the first to cross the Great blue in a journey that killed nearly half the sailors, drove mad ten and famished the others. After twenty nights and nineteen days of drift, they came across the island, crying at the eventual sight of something above the waves. The first mate then asked if they would stop the journey here and come back home, that di Stagno answered by: "What? Nooo. (waving his hand in direction of the south) Way farer..." after what he was shoot in the leg and burried alive in the sand minutes past the quickiest debarkation of History. His crew then found a native village, burned it to the ground, enslaved its population and came back at their country like heroes.
A fun thing is that Wayfarer looks like an "X" from the sky, because of its four lagoons.
Nearly every languages is spoke at Wayfarer (read by it "at least to people speak the same thing and can understand at least one other person). Wayfarer currency is whatever a nation recognise as money, but the foreigners must be carful: the exchange rate, as well as the market price of pretty much everything, is changed daily by the National Treasurers of Wayfarer (read by it that their code of honor froces them to change the price once per day, and forbid them to change it more. Most people just thinks that they do that to annoy, but it's in reality a very ancient law that infringement is the death penality by being clobbered by golden clubs (don't think too much about it. It's safer for everyone sanity.)
Wayfarer's rulers are the Pirate Lords, the only ones with enough muscle to jab some order into the hard head of the island's fauna of criminals
Out of curiosity, just what position would Hassar be looking for on the Firebrand, anyway?

He is not (at this point) gunning to be a first mate or anything, I mean for one thing he might have some rough idea of the hierarchy of a ship's crew (like the captain is in charge) but he doesn't actually have a whole lot of personal experience or knowledge about it, so he's just looking to get onto a ship so he can get that kind of experience. Even if he could personally dredge up the kind of money to afford a ship from the bottom of the sea (which I would think entirely possible, though it would also likely be a long journey and not necessarily easy) what use being the captain of a ship if you know nothing about sailing or being a pirate or anything?

Kessia will certainly be on the lookout for new crew when she visits the Inn, but having Hassar come to the ship would work too.
As for how she'd be advertising, she'd probably make a few discreet inquiries around the docks to see if anyone not afraid of magic was looking for work, and then put something in the newspaper the next day if it didn't work.

Kessia will be heading to the Inn on the morning of the 21st; specifically, she'll arrive just after Non heads off to get Lucien more tea.
