Ongoing Games (In-Character)Play-by-post games are going on in this forum as we speak (well, read). All threads on this board are actual games, so please, only post on a thread if you are a player of that game.
And here's a short recap of what happened last time.
Our heroes, trapped in the Shadowfell, go to assist Draugen, a heroic mercenary group led by, shockingly, Carric Theolon. Or rather, as our heroes know him, The Wolf. Finding themselves in the tower of the Drow Ardent they were requested to "take care of", they are confronted with the Drow's summoned devil, a Succubus. Absconing with Bast, their only female party member, our heroes are now forced into armed combat againest the succubi's thralls!
He then relaxes, and closes his eyes. The mark over his right eye glows brightly as the markings which became clear on the previous fight glow very slightly.
He starts tapping the floor with the tip. A runed circle forms underneath him, with each successive tapping it expands and glows until it reaches C8 where it finally remains glowing forming an image:
Spoiler
He then kneels slightly and pushes Almacia into the centre of it as it is swallowed by the floor and comes out under the Paladin in C8.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Move Action: Move to B6-2 Minor Action: Aegis of Assault - Paladin of Melora Standard Action: Ranged Attack (1d20+6)[19](25)

"No need to jump like elves through the forest, let us be civilised and bombard from safety.

Says the man who still is blinded by their last bombardment. We don't possess enough firepower to only engage in ranged combat, we need close combatants to prevent them from bombarding us as well, and Bast has been abducted by that devil. We need a breakthrough now.
Elden spends an action point and points his staff toward the paladin and through a Forceful Invokation, a sphere of fire shots toward her and explodes quite loudly in Blades of Astral Fire. Attacks vs Ref:
Paladin:(1d20+11)[20] (push to A6) Left eladrin:(1d20+11)[27] (push to A7) Right eladrin:(1d20+11)[21] (push to E7)
Non-lethal fire damage:(1d6+8)[11] and pushed and prone, and Carric recieves a +4 bonus to AC until the end of my next turn and is slided to B7
Follow me!
Elden jumps over the trap, hurries to the door through the corridor he just created between his enemies, and opens it.
(Not done with turn yet)
Also, for the record, all coordinates are for the upper half of the room.

Did you factor in the minus 2 to attacking prone enemies with ranged attacks? Just curious, I can't tell. And it is sorta important because if you didn't include it, it means you missed, but if you did include it it means you hit.
Carric, go and see if you can pick the lock on the door, I'll hold them off!
Juniper whirls his sword overhead, producing a lilting melody and a wave of green light. He leaps forward, swinging his sword and releasing the light to flood through the room.
Minor Action: Majestic Word on Carric. He can spend a healing surge and heal 5 additional HP.
Standard Action: Song of the New Dawn on the paladin.
Move Action: Jump to D8.
Standard Action: Valorous Smite on the eladrin.
Attack: (d20+12)[28] vs. AC
Damage: (2d8+6)[11] nonlethal, and all enemies are subject to divine sanction for this turn.

Umm, perhaps I should point out that I rearranged the playing field quite heavily there, Blue. The paladin is at A6, the left eladrin at A7, and the right one is at E7. You can charge it by jumping to D8.
Also, I slided Carric to B7 for a reason (to keep them pushed against the wall) and I'd prefer that you don't slide him away from there.
We don't have time for picking any locks. Just break it down, will you.

"I'm going to mobilize whenever I get my sight back, stop hurrying unnecessarily it's only creating chaos. As for that door, if Elden can heat it up and we manage to get a hole on it I can teleport inside and open it for you.

Juniper hits his target, bloodying the eladrin! Blood flows from her mouth, though you can tell that's just the result of having a longsword non fatally smashed againest her chest, and being hit in the face with a divine magic blast.
Anyway, with that done, it is now the Eladrin Veiled Warrior's turn!
-------------------------
First of all, instead of standing up, the Eladrin Veiled Warriors shall do a trick that Adalhard taught me, the DM, that these two clearly should know. The one next to Juniper and Elden Fey Steps into standing position at C8. She'll then swing her scimitar at Juniper!
Juniper: (1d20+10)[18] vs AC
(2d8+4)[14] damage, and Juniper is marked.
The other one shall Fey Step over to C6 and attack Teodor!
Teodor is not to happy about the eladrin being in his way, especialy now. Taking the brunt of the damage, Teodor swings his spear at her with Opening Shove!
(1d20+9)[28] vs Reflex. If it hits, she's pushed back one square into the pendulum scythe trap!
(1d20+9)[23] vs AC, (1d10+2)[8] damage and knocked to D6 if hit and knocked prone.
Additionaly, if Opening Shove hits, Teodor gets to shift 3 squares. He'll shift to B8, jumping during the movement.
So basically what happened was that Teodor beat her across the head, pushing her backward into the scythe, which propelled her forward. Teodor then jumped onto her and propelled himself to the square he ended on, landing like a badass, flames licking at those around him.
The Halfelf Paladin will stand up, and call out "Worry not! We can stem the tide!". She then shouts to the Eladrin that attacks Juniper "Vel, strike true!", with a divine glow to her voice. Command of Justice! The Eladrin gets to make a basic melee, againest Juniper!
Juniper: (1d20+10)[13]
(2d8+4)[15] damage if it hits!
She'll then gra the holy symbol of Melora around her neck and point it toward Carric, shouting another divinely sounding command. "Fall to the ground!". As she does so, the ground seems to tremble! Divine Tremor!
This is vs Reflex, area burst 2 within 10 centered on C8. Carric gets an opportunity attack!
Elden: (1d20+10)[14]
Carric: (1d20+10)[17]
Teodor: (1d20+10)[21]
Juniper: (1d20+10)[16]
Adalhard: (1d20+10)[12]
If it hits, (2d6+5)[16] radiant damage and you are knocked prone.
Finally, if Carric is knocked prone, she'll move to C7 and use Lay on Hands on the veiled eladrin warrior, healing her for 20 hp. If Carric isn't knocked prone, she'll instead stay where she is.
"I'm sorry Mr Teodor, but I cannot allow you to do that."
Dimensional Vortex to behind the door: (1d20+8)[2](10)

It's a steel door. Picking it will be faster than breaking it.
Duh! *hits himself in the head*

Teleportation requires line of sight.

Stand up, Command of Justice, Divine Tremor, Walk, Lay on Hands. I'm counting 1 standard action, 2 move actions and 2 minor actions
And walking is just another form of teleportation.
...right. She doesn't try to walk, and no attempt to lay on hands. Sorry about that >_>
Yha yha. I will say though, you don't have to be standing to use Fey Step.
Anyway, with a vicious slash, Carric strikes the paladin across the chest. Thankfully it's non lethal, otherwise she'd of recieve a pretty nasty wound.
Unfortunately for Carric, his second attack misses.
