Yeah, they enemy on foot walked around the rubbles.
It took them some time and effort, but they managed it without too much trouble.
The warmachines cannot do that and they realised it.
I also should tell you (those with decent insight in the group realise it) that the band of wolfriders who have gone north look like to be seeking some place to bypass the street with their machines, but from your position, you doubt they will find one : all the ground between your position and the northern mountain range appear either too soft or to rough for that... so the goblin will have to clear the rubbles or leaved the warmachines behind.
Now what I really need to know is : are you waiting for them to finish or do you try to get out before that?
If you decide to try and go out, explain how you wish to do that (It will move than likely require some stealth and athletics, possibly other skills if you've got some ideas.
It'd be easiest to take an extended rest, then track them down and mess with them further afterward. How far is our cliff from the battleground at Fort-du-Col?
Wolf cavalry can, as we saw, easily escape if it goes south for them, and they'll warn other goblins. I say we engage the nearest guard group, assuming they are too far apart for other groups to join the fight. Then we can disappear, panicking the other guards and workers. Hopefully they do something stupid we can capitalize on.

Thanks to Arokh for all the wonderful avatars! May his computer never crash and his mouse arm never cramp!
I am gonna assume you all follow Bolerum lead and stealth out tommorow morning unless someone say otherwise (I'll roll the missing rolls for you).
I,ll still give you time to choose what offensive action you wanna do (riders, guards or otherwise)
Shadow : They are far enough appart to give you 4 rounds before the closest group will be able to come to the aid of a group you attack (assuming you take on the group tto the far west or to the far east .
Umm yeah, you may be right. I'll think this out abit more lol... but they arent that spread out either... they simply need to watch over the workers right now.
I kinda assumed you were using rope and stuff to help others in the kind of skill chekc (group thing). There is just too many people who failed (meaning you had to help a lot of people and stuff.
I didnt account for people having theuir own climber kits (those I rolled)... but they still would fail with the +2 bonus.
I can give you a rough map on the area See bellow.
How do you approach the enemy?
I am actually thinking about turning this into some skill challenge rather than do endless goblins fights (I am guessing you might be tired of killing simple goblins/orc). Any objection to this?
Spoiler
Grey is the mountains
Black line is the road
Green is forest/groves (there is still other small group or lone tree here and there, but nothing to really help much in a large span)
Light blue is the lake
The light blue sray is the wet area (kind of marshes)
The brown cruved lines represent major hills (to give you an idea where there is more hilss than other)
The 4 Pick dots are abandonned farms (some have been burnt and are more ruins now)
The large red line is the enemy camp.
The deep blue square is Fort-Du-Col
The purple X is where you guys fought the Orcs
The red X is where you ambushed the goblins and that the 40 workers are digging.
The four small red dots are the guards.
The Big red dot is where you last saw the wolfrider patroll
The orange X is where you are right now.
Skill challenge would be fine here. Maybe consider allowing Encounter Powers to take the place of a single skill roll, or else have one attack and damage roll per PC in addition to a skill check.
Even if you prefer to do the combats, this will be some skill challenge in the long run. When you decide to stop (to take an extended rest), the number of successes willl give me the indication of how well you succeed in creating havoc :).
Quote:
You already gained a success (for your group stealth to move out of the cave) and no failure (Atheltics was only a surge penalty)
I'll post detail IC soon about the next SC step.
BOLERUM : Yeah, if you guys accept not to do the actuall fights, I plan to have you all roll one of your at-will attacks VS A DC and see the result (like a group skill check)
Dont forget that I need at least one try at nature . the rest can be any of the 3 or bluff or anything that may fit the situation.
Note that even if you guys get the 3/5 before you all roll to get the SC success, I want the 5 rolls, as it may affect the next step DC.
Here how I thought I'd proceed for the next step.
You ill choose an at-wiil power (or basic attack) and roll your regular attack roll 9I'll need to know what defense it will target too)
I,ll compare this to a set of defenses from an artillery monster (since the group you are facing is mostly artillery). The level may vary depending on how many success you get in the approach phase (the one you are doing right now).
I'll then compare to the defense set and will require 3/5 to defeat them.
I wont give you the monster defenses, as you have to guess what power would be best suited (if you have choises between different defenses).
Those who fail the attack will have to loose either a remaining daily attack power or healing surge.
Timlaff : you aretn in the noutains anymore (was the previous roll.. I think you missed my last IC post, which details about it). So I'll have to roll for you unless you do before me.
Right now, I'll wait for Psiclone to log in today (to give her a chance to choose for herself her action. After she log (even if she doesnt reply) 'Ill complete this stage by rolling the missing rolls (Ung and/or Monique)
Ashe roll is a failure (as you already knew).... so right now it is 2 Succes, 1 failure.
NOTE : since the 3 basic roll have been done/attempted, the rest can do whatever they want (among the 3 rolls or with some other skill that would be fitting)
Monique : I do realise it might have been an auto-login and that you did not really see this, but I'll still move things forward so the next step can be resolve over the week end. I hope you wont mind too much.
Timlaff told me to roll for him his stealth.
While I am not sure if Monique would really had dare to use her shapeshifter ability, it is an auto-success... so I'll assume she would had used it to makea small diversion (as I'll narate IC)
So here are the two missing rolls :
Ung Stealth : (1D20+3)[19]
Monique bluff = auto-sucess.
I explained how we will do this skill challenge battle in the spoiler (in the quote).
If you have quesitons, ask. I'll try to check a few time this week-end to answer quesitons.
I'd like to be able to resolve this next monday (I hope you'll all have time to roll this week-end). I might even resolve it this week end if I find the time and get on with the next step.
And if something doesnt make sense, tell me. This is somethng new I am trying here.
For Elven Accuracy, you can use it ONCE during the whole MAIN Skill challenge. So you can use it (I doubt it with you second roll), but once you do, you cannot use it in an other battle untill you guys decide to end (or fail) this skill challenge. Note that if I decide to run a full battle for some reason, you will be able to use it as usual during that battle.
