Give me a convincing back story with the ancients, and we'll be good.
Hm... well, let's shake things up. Let's say that the Warforged were a more recent edition to the world (say the last 80-100 years). For interest's sake, let's say that the Dwarves were the ones credited to first make the Warforged and that the guy who created Silvanus happened to be a human who was taught by the dwarves. Hence, Silvanus is the third warforged in existence because Silvanus was simply meant to be a prototype, and the first two were really made by the dwarves. However, either warring factions wanting their hands on this fabled superweapon or greedy/envious Dwarves wanted to make sure they were the first to make them, either way Silvanus' creator ended up dead.
It's ok, I'm waiting for a response from hustler and then maybe Iothfrahar can get to some dragon hunting :P
Sorry, didn't realize anyone was waiting on me at this point. As my sig states, a bit busy at the moment. What was it you were needing me to respond to?
Uhh...do I get an attempt to resist the spell? I don't mind either way though.
Well, this situation isn't quite as simple as just a mind-effecting enchantment scenario. The first spell is specifically designed to be subtle, so it isn't a question of resisting it as much as noticing it. I suppose there would be a chance of that happening, albeit small. If KimZahn did not notice the first spell, then he would have next to no way of resisting the silence spell, as his mental defenses would be lowered. As it stands, Reynald just used up three pretty high level spell slots just to bind the wish slave (for maybe ten-fifteen minutes at the most). By the looks of things, there will be more surprises around the corner. So I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Anyhow, about my last post. I am working under the assumption that Malenth made it to the East Gate and the Arlin actually got the gear and mounts (two fairly reasonable assumptions, given that they are both independent characters capable of completing simple tasks). The spell that Reynald cast on Zane can be seen through with any sort of True Seeing-esque magic. However, after this post even Reynald doesn't know where Zane is. So just keep all that in mind while writing responses.

Just the question, would your guys be willing to run off on a dragon-hunting adventure if they were promised a cut of the dragon's hoard? If so please have them come into Jagermeister's bar "The Bear Necesity"
Also, you're getting married? YOU POOR POOR MAN

They are quite a ways away from Aldhaven, my friend. They're out in The Reach and won't make it to Aldhaven for a day or two.
You'll need to put out an ad to have someone come directly somewhere for a task. You could perhaps place one one the jobs board in several districts.
@HiphoVesth - As for the djinn, how far can you go from your bangle? He got in a post before you, so you might have to edit yours since they already started off.
@Crafty - You're just arriving. At east gate and so just witnessing the guards rallying, and likely going to be checking people to see if they're Zane. I unfortunately can't post at the moment, but I might be able to later on today or early tomorrow.
@Hustler - Congratulations on the wedding! Have some experience - on me!

I assume you are referring to Vesth, seeing as I'm not sure that could apply to any other character...

Calling KimZahn a djinn is apt to get you slapped.
I figure the Efreeti can venture a small distance away from the bracelet, though if he concentrates, he probably can go a little further. As of now, I'm not even sure if he could even go back in. Turning into smoke to return to the bracelet is probably Change Shape (Su), which is an inherent magical ability, which you said Silence cancelled.

Yeah, and also the first order of business for the Blue Hands once they do arrive in actual Aldhaven will be tracking down the old headquarters, as well as the Arena, and moving themselves back in (and anyone who is currently there out. Forcibly.) After that they will be available for hire, either in large bunches of NPCs for players to use for escapades or specifically Wilstaff and Bennett if some player wants to team up with them.
As am I. Reynald is still being awesome, waiting for the others to post so we can get going. I think I am waiting on Crafty and Wombat, actually.
If any of that wasn't proof enough, I got a Reynald avatar! He is supposed to look a bit older than that, but mrgone used his artistic license apparently... I still think it looks neat.

I am still here, and I also have an avatar for my character, bu tunfortunately it is on my other computer, and it is broken. I am hoping to be involved with something soon, now that my "intro" sequence is done. As a side note, do you think that he would be able to purchase equatorial fruit in Aldhaven?

...
Huh? That was one of the most random side notes I have read on this forum for some time. Now you've got me thinking of all the possibilities of going into a tropical fruit market.

Why thank you, I agree that a fruit market would be an interesting way to meat all kinds of savories , or meet some unsavory characters if you prefer. But I also liked the idea of my character visiting the place were they are demolishing churches in the city, maybe drawn by the unhappy spirits of the deceased, suddenly having their hallowed ground un-sanctified.
A market? Sounds like a place he could meet a certain dragonborn Druid setting up posters on a job board.....
