All characters start at first level; zero experience.
Starting gold is the maximum possible for a character of your class.
Gear can be purchased from any non-banned source. This includes magic items from the DMG or other source books, so you may start with Potions of Cure Light Wounds or other gear.
A special note: All the mundane clothing outfits found in the PHB or SRD, excepting the Cold Weather Outfit, are free, so you can dress your character however you wish. You are not required to have your character wear clothing of any sort, but it is recomended.
Characters may not purchase any mounts, attack animals, mercenaries, undead, with the exception of a single mount. Possesion of more than one mount is prohibited. (Note: You can't open a door while mounted on a large creature)
Characters of any class will be accepted, as long as it is official WotC material from a non-banned 3.5 D&D source.

Characters may not be of a race that has any racial hit dice.
Characters may not have any template applied to them, with the exception of the Dragonborn template, from Races of the Dragon. (You must spend your wealth to gain this template, and again at each level, as with spells added to your spellbook)
Ability scores will be generated using a 32-point point buy.
Hit points are maximized for first level, and averaged as given in the DMG forevermore afterwards.
Alignment doesn't really matter, except in the cases of alignment-based spells and items, such as paladin spells or a Protection From _____ spell.
Paladins,Clerics, and other characters with alignment-based codes of conduct are not required to uphold those restrictions to keep their abilities. For example, a Paladin can use poison without losing his powers, but a Knight must continue to operate under the restrictions of the Knight's Code (as they are not alignment based).
Multiclassing XP penalties are removed, for ease of bookkeeping. Otherwise, multiclassing is as normal.
All die rolling must be made with the in-forum roller.
No, you don't have to write a backstory. And IC stuff is not required...but it does make it a bit more fun if you play along.
Only material from rulebooks you can access can be used, to prevent confusion about the rules.
Tips
Don't forget to list your character's languages. It comes up.
Make sure you have an accounting of your character's gear.
Please list book sources for all non-core items used.
Mial: Doxi - Please list cost of items. You won't need rations, unless you are trying to bribe your opponents to forefit with food or something. The lighting is good in the dungeon so I only foresee you using one torch at most If you go up against a swarm. Ink parchment/paper and pen are for...? Need to be fifth level for energy substitution variant, unless you mean energy affinity. I'm not sure how you'd use snowcasting. Please list books used
this does sound interesting;
i'm a little confused about some details:
to what extent will we be fighting other players vs fighting dm-controlled monsters? and to what extent will we be in groups (if at all)
The words in the 16 seem to imply a mix of the two.
Also, do all encounters have to be won by beating the opponent to unconsciousness/death, or are charming/diplomancing sufficient?
And what will the opponent's initial demeanor toward us be? (i.e. how hostile and suspicious will they be)
Player vs Encounters all the way through. Solo only. Sorry if that's not totally clear. I tried converting the Arena rules and wasn't as thorough as I thought I was.
Unconsciousness, Death, and Surrender are all acceptable terms (Though I wouldn't think the spectators would appreciate the last one in their bloodsport). They are all assumed hostile. I.E. Paid to kill you with more than you can afford, Starved, Rabid, Contractually (or spiritually) Bound, etc.
ok; I like the looks of this, so i'll ponder a character plan. Not sure how strong to aim for; might be more reasonable and accept death if it happens :P
Hmmm, looks like savage species is 3.0, so not available to use; which takes away some of the stuff I like to use on dragon shaman, so i'm gonna ponder what other class to take.
Right, unmixed my spear and Shuriken. Fixed my writing error. (wrote wis but applied it to will) Also placed books down in notes. But used players 3.5, DMG 3.5, and Complete Adventurer.
Ah, I see. Sorry about that.
Done.
Edit: Hmm, can I use one of these with cl 2 instead of buying two?
For now I would assume 'yes'.
Also added vile feat, thanks to Elder Evils...
(Thanks TheFallenOne, your character sheet is really interesting )
Willing Deformity isn't worth much on its own though, it's mostly necessary as prerequisite for some quite sweet feats. Though it can be quite nice on its own merit with, say, Intimidating Rage. Free action Demoralize is useful in a speedrun like this. But then again, given this works as a single long encounter I'm not sure how Rage works here.

There is the next deformity feat which makes guys shaken. Maybe I will take it later.
I thought about this Intimidating Rage. But...:
Beelzebub1111: Can the fights be considered separate encounters? Otherwise feats like Extra Rage or Intimidating Rage are useless...
Or Factotum class...

For them to be considered separate encounters, there would be an indeterminate time for rest between them. In the spirit of the concept (That is, a contest of speed) I don't think I could let them each count as separate encounters...
Let me sleep on a solution for this, but as it stands Raging more than once is impossible. and Factotum? Just try to manage your points well. That's part of what makes this a challenge. Budgeting your resources over the stage.
pallor is mostly done; just pondering the final feat and final bits of gear.
he'll probably die anyways though; so i shouldn't think too hard. http://www.dndsheets.net/view.php?id=41043
Very basic character, but that's what I like to play. Posting now to make sure everything checks out and that I didn't forget anything (I usually do; I'm not the greatest at 3.5, I admit). Only using the d20SRD because that's all I've got. Adding the description and what not in later, since I'm still writing that up.
ok, my char (link above) is finished; went with the simplest additions, as i still don't expect to make it through round 1 :P
let me knwo if there's a problem with him

You have 10 javelins ... and they cost 10gp. You listed them for 20gp.
They also weight 2lbs each, which means they should weight 20 lbs total
You have 240gp starting gold, it means you still have 30gp. Nothing more you need?
