Kerfuffle, I think it's your turn to post for Stacy and the rest of that group in the Forest thread?

More a guess than anything. He's a mercenary and an assassin by trade. He'd know of MURDER. Maybe not the name of the guy running it, but he'd know it's there. I'll be happy to change it to a more obscure name or just say the boss if you'd like.

If you edited your post, that'd be great.
There was that big Wallpost that showed the Operative vs. Rocid-in-a-giant-slime-golem, which was mostly done to expose the Operative and MURDER so that people would have an IC way of knowing of them.

Coming right up beanie dear!

Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
Gonna be honest, DEB: the scene in MURDER is starting to irritate me a little. Trissy magically being impossible to kill strikes me as a bit disingenous since it was one of your other characters who bought that contract in the first place.
Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
You know, I sometimes think that a good 60% of The Operative's problems could be solved by a button that drops the ceiling in his office from his desk forwards onto whoever is standing there.
It just seems like a quick and efficient way of saying "contract denied" to me.
Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
What? No!
You can't go around dropping ceilings on people, that's not classy enough for a proper assassins guild. Clearly what the Operative needs is a shark pit. Of course, what with various denizens of the Nexus near universally being able to avoid or outright a garden variety, it would have to be a flying, adamantine-toothed god-shark, but there's no price too high for true style.

This decision depends entirely upon whether or not I can put lasers on their heads.
Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
The trick about the crushing ceiling is how utter the destruction is. You can't beat up the sharks, light yourself on fire, use mind control or empathy powers, or anything. One does not reason with the ceiling!

The downside is that you inevitably need to either hire a janitor or install a drain. The latter is incredibly suspicious, and the former is a security risk!
Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
You could just buy a pressure-washer and put the drain in the main lobby in a corner somewhere. Then you could just spray all the pulp out into the drain.
Also, with the base underground, having drains in the floor isn't suspicious, it's a must. Flooding would be a real problem that close to the river.
Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
Or he could buy a zombie cleaning crew. Dead men tell no tales and all that.
On an entirely unrelated note, I think I'm going to have Strahd start up a shop that rents and sells undead labor. I'm assuming Remnant's 'no slaves' law wouldn't apply to mindless animated corpses?

Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
As long as we're just handwaving 'lol zombies here' and not 'I've murdered whole villages to animate them to circumvent the anti-slavery laws' then Remnant wouldn't see any reason to get involved.
Re: [Nexus] OoC 34: If it exists, we have role-played it. No exceptions.
Presumably, they volunteered for zombiehood before dying naturally. Otherwise, it's destruction of property, vandalism, theft and desecration of a corpse if they're taken from a graveyard, murder and desecration of a corpse if they're not volunteers.

As someone who has run a similar organization for a few years now, I have to say that it's very annoying to be given contracts the organization has no way of fulfilling. Especially if the player whose characters gives the contract knows this very well.
And Zefir, I think you missed me in Riverside.
