Releasing works quite well.
The desert was okay... slept in the day, went out at night. much cooler that way.

Dave goes and sits down at a table, and Jane follows him.

Clarissa will promptly seat herself beside Dave, snuggling up to him and setting her head on his shoulder. She yawns lazily, the music calming her and relaxing her until she's nearly asleep.

"How was your day at work, Dave? Anything interesting happen? Or were you stuck with boring sick people again?"

[Mindfreak]

"It was a busy day...as usual. You'd think people with no medical care would be extremely careful, but...nope. I couldn't count the number of people who came in today from injuries caused by their own foolish selves."
He shook his head tiredly, accepting snuggles gratefully from Clarissa.
"Not to mention he brought me to a hospital and got me fixed up."

"Yeah, well, I agree. People are stupid. Come to think of it, I'm highly considering buying you a trunk of healing spells as a gift! You are casting to lighten your workload when too many people are crammed into your clinic, am I right?"

"And you made sure that you brought her to an expensive, well-respected hospital with all the credentials in the world, didn't you? Because if they didn't patch her up right, I will patch her up myself. When I'm not drunk."

"Your eyes are healthy at current, Dave, are they not?"

Clarissa could go for a strong drink right about now. And she would...were she not pregnant.

She's attempting to hold one of Dave's hands at this point. Aww! Aside from that, she's not shifting about very much at all! Dave's shoulder is comfortable!

Fade heads over to the table where the three are sitting.

"Can I bring you anything?"

"No, I try to not use magic, because when I do the people usually get injured in the same way again because they didn't learn their lesson.
"And I brought her to the finest place I could."
"And yes, my eyes are fine."
Clarissa's handholding attempt is successful!
And yes, Dave's shoulder may be one of the most comfy in all of existence
Jane looks up at fade.
"Er...got any menus?"

Naku shakes off the deadtime surrounding her.
With a crick of her neck that causes a slight wince, she happened to look down and notice that her clothes had changed.

When did that happen?
Eh. Did it matter? They look much better now.

"So who wanted what?" She asks, blinking a few times as her eyes adjusted to the light.

Savorla looks up and waves to Naku, still waiting for Cheisha to reply, but she hasn't finished the drink she has yet, and thus stays quite for now, now wanting to confuse her.

And if none looks at the table for a moment, the menues appear. Fade's shadow has layed them there while everyone was distracted.

"There you go." he sais pointing at the menu.

Songdancer smiles at Naku before singing again.
With a voice full of love, he begins:

Dave notices said shadow leave the menus.
But then again, Dave notices everything.
He looks at Fade.
"Thank you. Now if you'll excuse us, we'll wave you over when we've made our decision."

"Where did you bring her-Wait! I'd like to place an order for a drink!"

Clarissa attempts to catch Fade before he leaves! Her body demands fluids! Fluids I tell you!

"Could I get a chocolate milkshake with a blended pickle and a pint or two of blood mixed in! Stirred, not shaken!"

Yep! ... Fluids!

Fade never left the table so she won't need to catch him. He takes the order and get's back to the bar to prepare it. All he needs should be there.

After a few minutes Fade brings the drink as ordered. It's exactly the way Clarissa wanted.

Dave looks at Fade.
"I'd like a chocolate milkshake as well, please. Though I would like mine to just be chocolate."
Jane thinks over her choices.
"I'll take a Shirely Temple."
Dave looks over at Clarissa.
"Oh, it was just one of those more highly advanced hospitals. They got Jane a new body and then transferred her mind into it."

Fade nods and heads back to the bar. He returns immediatelly, what is very strange. In fact his shadow made the drinks when they placed their order. That way the real Fade just needs to pick them.

Fade will take the bill, best to do it now befor Naku decides otherwise.

"Anything else?"

Alilia walks in with her wife Rachel; the alien girl's glossy black eyes glance around interestedly.

Rachel looks around with some interest too, for a moment. Then she'll lead her wife to a corner booth and grab a menu.

Alilia reads over the list, her pegleg's rubber tip gently tapping the floor.

Hmmm...the burgers sound pretty good. What do you think?

Alilia nods in agreement. Soun's nice!

Rachel smiles a little.

Fired up meat patty served on a bun with a bunch of toppings. Delicious.

Oooohhhhh... Alilia's eyes are wide, like those of a young child being told about something totally rad.

I recommend the bacon cheeseburger.

She nods, deferring to Rachel's expertise and thinking how lucky she is to have married someone with such otherworldly knowledge!
