Parson was about to start his run through MK January 2011. He was sitting outside the portal for 2 months before that. Given the timetables, I figure sometime around June 2014 you'll finally see Parson get into Spacerock.

Hmm, we better warm up Admiral Akbar just in case...

How exactly does this plan constitute a tr - Oh. OH! Parson can't readily go back into the Magic Kingdom to be briefed by tGMwTA!

That, and he'd be trapped an unknown distance into enemy territory, with only what GK troops remain between him and a pointy-object-filled death.

FTFY
Charlie has made emphatically clear his desire to control Parson as an invaluable asset, resigned to destroying him only as a last resort and only as a method of obtaining the bracer.

That only applies if Charlie gets a turn in to be able to retrieve him. Without a formal alliance, Charlie has to wait for his turn to be able to swoop in and snatch Parson, and a lot can happen in a turn, as we've seen already.

With a formal alliance, Charlescomm and Jetstone share the same turn. Without one, they each move in their natural turn order.
Now, there are only two possibilities:
1) Charlescomm moves before Jetstone in that order, which means his has already expired but he still gets to move before them tomorrow. OR
2) Charlescomm moves after Jetstone, which means he still gets one today as soon as the King declares "turn over," which he hasn't done yet, because he wants Trem and whatever flying escorts he can gather (including I'm sure his casters) to use their move to get safely to the new capital by the start of the next.
Of course, until they do get there, they're pretty much sitting ducks for any other non-allied air units. And Charlie has a lot of them. Heck, he might even be willing to contract some out to another side in the area that would like to see Jetstone fall. Like, say, Haggar. That would leave his hands, and reputation, completely clean.
Also, in before those who say "but Charlie told Slately 'We kill the Fatman' so he wants him dead":
A) Charlie never said who "the Fatman" is. Slately's not all that slim either.
B) Jojo offered Parson a scroll that will send him "back where once he belonged" but the scroll stinks of Charli, and we know where Charlie thinks he belongs - working for Charlie! He made a deal for that with Ansom, and in Charlie's world, even if someone else loses, Charlie still gets paid, so Parson "belonged" to him.

Thing is, though, they still have a whole load of decrypted Dwagons at Spacerock--what's to stop Parson mounting one and riding home on it?
Parson is a heavy unit. Dwagons can't lift heavy units.
Hence the gambit with the promotion of the hobgobwins to knight, because a hobgobwin knight is a heavy unit (while a normal hobgobwin isn't); so they would drag their dwagons down and land out of turn.
The non-hobgobwin units had to butcher their dwagons to land, which is why they have decrypted dwagons in the first place.

Haggar is 'allied' with JS.
We have seen some Archons move+spy on Haggar,
then get captured a bit later on Haggar's turn.
So, Charlie's turn is before JS.

But that's where he wanted to end up anyway. In charge of a stack of GK units and imparting his bonus to them. The point is that now Parson can't get back to learn about the Magic Kingdom's dirty laundry.

Almost where he wanted. If Slately menages to change the capitol site before Parson goes through, he will end up all alone in the city of Jetstone instead with his army in Spacerock.

That isn't the plan, though--it would be obvious to the Gobwin Knob forces that the portal had disappeared and they'd probably be able to get word (via Wanda) to stop Parson coming through. The plan is to *let* Parson come through, then close the portal behind him so he can't get back.
To be honest, though, I think that may be the whole intention of this--leave Parson out in the field with only the forces available to him in the ruins of Spacerock. That would pretty much force him to fight or die, which I think is when he comes up with his most world-breaking ideas!

Indeed. Forcing Parson in a corner, can lead to dangerous developments...

How so? Wanda is in the Magic Kingdom. There is no one in Spacerock, who would be able to send a thinkagram or has an eyebook. Gobwin Knob doesn't have sending hats as well. Sure they will notice, but they won't be able to inform anyone about it.
Besides, Parson was fully aware he won't be able to go back through Magic Kingdom once they conquare Spacerock - it would stop being a capitol anyway.

Wanda has a connection to her Decrypted even when she isn't in the same place they are...back on page 73 (before the big hiatus) Wanda was able to tell that Ossomer had turned even when she was in the Magic Kingdom.

Information about unit status is not the same thing as information exchange. An overlord senses all of his units, but can't talk to them directly without Thinkamancy (see an early page in book 1, when Stanley senses a loss of spidews unit). The same goes for casters, who create units I guess. Why would anyone use hats for sending reports, if an overlord could transmit all information and orders between his units?

Well, it would still be useful for the main purpose for which we've seen it employed, transmitting information and items between different sides. (I agree with your point about Wanda and her knowledge about Decrypted units, though.)
Oh Jillian. Do these things just fall out of your mouth? I can understand not wanting a deal with Charlie, but blurting out something that a) pisses off the entire team and b) make certain the Charlie will be told about her?

Mainly because they were already knights (remember the mentions?)... but I'm just being pedantic here.

A) That just seems like a jab at Haffaton that got misinterpreted by the archons to me.
B) They're archons. Charlie's going to find out anyway.

He probably means the muttered comment at the end, but I doubt the Archons heard it. Or were meant to.

A) I fail to see how this should have been obvious. Maybe if she'd used "they're too cheap" rather than "you're too expensive" then maybe I could understand that. Now, however, it's a blunder borne of overconfidence that almost made me see why people hated her so much (so I heard) in Book 1.
B) Granted, but if she insults them like that, it just got upgraded from a reasonably certain probability (especially since she's one captive with one stolen dwagon, might not be considered important to an archon) to a certainty (a runaway insulted Charlescomm! How dare she! Charlie will hear about this!).
EDIT:

I meant the "They're too poor! And you guys charge way too much." comment, the one that set them off in the first place. Agreed in that they weren't meant to hear the muttered comment at the end, but the damage had already been done.

Yeah, I remember. :D
I just didn't mention it, because at the time I thought that everything that could ride a mount was a knight, warlord, or caster.
I just remembered that Cubbins let an archer take his place to escape from the tower though, so now I'm a bit uncertain.

I think what we're dealing with here is Zeno's portal. It took him only a few pages to get halfway there; then a few more to get three-quarters of the way there. By 2014 Parson will be only a few fractions of an inch away, yet he still won't be able to pass through.
