Ok, the ability to force a Crit every single time is OP, just saying.
Not OP in the least I might take a divine ability that does the same thing. I can honestly say that if you don't use IHB you will be at a slight disadvantage then everyone even if you were the best powergamer in the group.

Well, I'd say that just because some people use the Immortal's Handbook, not everybody has to. Though the Doc is right, it's a powerful tool if you can.
Anyway, hopefully the DM will be back soon to answer stuff...
Moonlits right, you can still do fairly well without the IHB.

Here is the main website for the IHB it costs 15 bucks for the main book, or if you have no moral inclination not to there's always 4shared.

I could not find it on 4shared, first place i looked to be truthful its how i got other books. When you have a kid a house and make only 7.70 an hour you do what you can.
SO my main strategy at the moment is using incantatrix, the archmage's spell like ability power and divine fast healing from that god class to gain ludicrous numbers of full hit point clones of myself. And that's just one side of the tristalt. This game seems like it'll head for crazytown sooner rather than later.
Thats only if people do so...You have to remember, if we choose to try and make empires and such by making alliances and taking over the rest of the known world their is little the world can do. But if we go against each other well the world is destoryed and all of us who can create our own demiplanes live happily ever after creating new life in our own worlds. O wait why would we not be doing this already? create a forge that makes shadesteel golems just for fun
Alright how about this I will type up an intro to how one uses the IHB here Don't expect me to be available all the time.

Well the thing was I think that the characters (Epic as they are) are only meant to be the Lord Britsh of there respective kingdoms. You don't really go out and fight you have other people who do that for you. If you are ever needed it's because world ending things are occurring such as the rise of Cuthulu just off shore of your kingdom. In that sense I think the main focus is just how you decide to run your uber king and his subject rather then "Hey guys lets go kill us a flight of dragons or gits and shiggles!"

Exactly. We are nukes, and we lead nations. It's political in a lot of ways, really.

Would now be a bad time to mention that's pretty much my backstory?
Kombispice (my char, I have to make it weird or I'll get pings all the time, hearing my own name) and [Enemy] are warring Far Realms kings that got stranded in the Material, with no way back to the Far Realms.
Yeah I doubt we will have more than 1-2 fights over a whole campaign that actually involve our characters. I know the most my guy will do is create his Army (1,000,000 Blocks a day, 3 Blocks/HD + Equipment)
@GM: When you say no Cohort Chaining, does that mean you have a hard limit on how many Cohorts we have, or how many we can get via "Cohort A takes Leadership"

Sorry everyone
Level 50 tristalt. Why? What on earth is possibly going to challenge someone like that. At that point everyone and everything without even trying is immune to everything from damage to breathing, I can't even begin to guess how I would spend Thirty Three Million Gold.
At what point does it cease to be possible to not break the game sideways? Anyone that puts even a little bit of time into diplomacy will be the only one who can do anything practical at all because its the only thing that no one can be immune to.
For example, Let's conservatively say that someone drops around 21 levels in warlock, and about six or so levels in Binder. Another large amount of levels in artificer...
Here we have a character that adds his charisma score to diplomacy thanks to Morpheme Savant, and makes rushed diplomacy checks as a standard action by binding Naberius. Being able to make magic items for 25% off the listed gold cost due to Extraordinary Artisan. For an almost Meager 19507500 gold our hero has a +51 cloak of charisma. Leaving ten million gold to buy more or less everything anyone could ever need (say, a ring of universal elemental immunity for 1620000, +1 Heavy Fortification Soulfire Bracers of Armour for 75000, a ring of freedom of movement for 30000, a Third Eye Conceal for 90000 if for some reason the character can't just Cast mind blank and that's under two million gold by itself). Metamagic completion to use persist spell on Monstrous Regeneration and Construct Essence and you have a character that's immune to mind effecting, criticals, negative levels, death effects, grappling, damage, non lethal damage and every type of elemental damage to boot.
*sigh* sorry. Too much math, I like the idea of epic a lot, but it always goes downhill so fast, and with this much book-keeping making a character would take a month at the least which would cross the line into actual work for me. I think I can unabashedly say that I dislike wealth by level more than any other mechanic in D&D, because while its meant to reflect what someone has likely acquired over their adventuring career being able to jump into the magic mart at character creation gives you way too much control over your vast fortune. No random silver daggers and +1 leather armors cluttering up the bank so to speak.
Best of luck, but I can't see how this could possibly not crush itself under its own weight.

1. I would get extremely frustrated with the amount of book-keeping required to keep track of three different characters (which is a level 50 tristalt).
2. I can't figure out a way to actually spend that much money in such a way as to not make the character completely and utterly invulnerable, immortal and otherwise enduring. Unless the DM bans items or certain abilities at which point any other character can end another as a standard action or less.
3. The only things that could challenge such a character would Also have to be similarly invulnerable, immortal and otherwise enduring outside of direct DM Fiat. Rocket tag at its finest.
4. Therefore the game becomes one of intrigue and politics where dice are rolled less and less because the dice rolls are immaterial since no one's abilities as super powerful characters can actually affect anyone.
In which case. Why is the game D&D at all? If everyone is so powerful that they can destroy the world but can't touch the other players who also happen to be everyone else's primary nemesis than why not simply say that everyone is arbitrarily powerful, the ruler of their own nation, and seek to conquer the world but can't do so directly and simply engage in free-form roll-playing?
This is a recruitment thread not a discussion thread sir. so as Co-DM I suggest you leave or join the game. I personally have had great fun in campaigns of this level broken or not.
So on another note any one with a character consept want to ally with Bivore the Strongest.

I could talk terms. Depends on what you stand for mainly.
Well back to our private pirate pad then. And if there are other takers I like to weigh my options with allies.

I would suggest looking into ways to get more HD the 16 says that characters who powergame correctly can reach the cap of 500 HD. I'm not the best by any means, but I know at least a few ways to boost HD. You gotta look at homebrew and the IHB. There are a few other ways to do it with WotC stuff too.

Are our minions 1 Sided, Gestalt or Tristalt too?
It is relevant to my interests as I intend to turn my Kingdom into a Theocracy and having my Clergy being Mortal would be really bad for business.
Oh and will there be NPC kingdoms beyond our Enemies/Allies? I am planning on infiltrating a Far Realms Cult into non-alliance territories to increase my Quintessence gain as much as possible.
I'm going to be the most mobile force in the game, using my Abberant-Mobiles to cart around my troops, while firing off massive Far Realms Detonators by the driver, with the passengers using their own abilities if they come under fire

I just might join, first a few questions:
1) Does what the Immortals Handbook says should be replaced by feats in the Immortals Handbook get replaced, is it our choice? Something else?
2) Is epic spellcasting allowed?
3) Do we follow the ELH saying that characters with PC/PrC classes count as higher level?

As great as some of the things look the only thing I found useful in their is greater deity for templates. And that would stop my whole +30 or more d6 sneak attack damage. But I have 37 levels left, sadly in two different things. So I will probably do 25 cleric and templates on the other. That way I can create my own demiplane and not be destroyed by the casters. And I would be interested in being on your side. But I am still waiting to see if arbiter is allowed. So I can start creating my character.
