Clarissa attempts to kiss Dave! She almost forgot to do that! Almost!

"That's true. DFI was quite family friendly too."
He kisses Clarissa back! That would be a bad thing to forget too!
"Alright...so we just go through this portal?"

Rachel looks pleased to see the food.

Alright! These drones sure know how to make some good food.

She starts on her plate.

Alilia giggles and eats too, quite happy with human food.

[Maeve's]

Maeve has probably been bringing home various food for herself and Khair over the past few weeks, and even with buying new clothes and going out a few times, they've probably got just about enough saved up for taking the catgirl to an actual doctor...

In any case, the ex-noble is probably, on this particular weekend morning, asleep, and snuggled up against her friend.

[Beans]

[Maeve's]
Khair is awake, watching her friend sleep.
The prospect of actually going and seeing a doctor is exciting, but a little scary in a way, and she's been wondering about it, occasionally making excuses that she's fine and they should spend it on something for Maeve.
She knows how weak those excuses are, though occasionally she still tries.

[C'nor]

[Maeve's]

Maeve mostly gently pokes holes in the logic of said excuses, doing her best not to get angry with Khair, since she understands why she's doing this, and she'd really rather not fight with her in any case.

After a few minutes, she slowly yawns awake, hugging the catgirl, and smiling.

"Hey... How're you doing? You sleep well?"

[Beans]

[Maeve's]
'M okay. You?
She adjusts her respirator, working a crick out of her neck.

[C'nor]

[Maeve's]

"I'm fine too. You hurting?"

Khair might notice that the brand on Maeve's left hand has already started to glow in anticipation of her answer.

[Beans]

[Maeve's]
She shakes her head a little too eagerly. No, 'm fine.
So, um, what do we do today?

[C'nor]

[Maeve's]

Maeve frowns slightly, slipping an arm around her.

"You sure, dear?
And I think we go get you looked at..."

[Beans]

[Maeve's]
She swallows, hesitantly nodding.
I guess we should, shouldn't we?

[C'nor]

[Maeve's]

Maeve gently rubs her back and side, smiling reassuringly at her.
"Probably, though it doesn't have to be right this second, if you'd like an hour or three to prepare after breakfast. And remember, I'll be there for you all through this, okay?"

[Beans]

[Maeve's]
She seems to frown for a while before answering.
Better just to get it done...

[C'nor]

[Maeve's]

Maeve nods, and gently hugs her.
"Alright... You ready to head down and eat, dear?"

[Beans]

[Maeve's]
The sick girl nods, slipping out of bed to dress.

[C'nor]

[Maeve's]

Maeve does much the same, helping her if it seems that Khair needs the assistance.

[Beans]

[Maeve's]
She'll make it down easy enough with her cane, ready to get something eaten.

[C'nor]

[Maeve's]

Maeve gets something good from what she brought back yesterday out and served up, sitting next to her friend while they eat.

She eats quickly and efficiently, wasting neither time nor food.

[C'nor]

[Maeve's]

As does Maeve, who, once they're done, goes to clean up the dishes and such.

"You ready to head out, Khair?"

[Beans]

[Maeve's]
She nods, swallowing hard and gripping her cane a little tighter.

[C'nor]

[Maeve's]

Maeve gently takes her free hand, giving a soft squeeze as they go, and, presumably, the pair will head off to a doctor.

When they get back, Khair having taken one of her prescribed pills before they left, the catgirl takes off and pockets her respirator.
Nice to know I don't have to worry about making you sick.

[Maeve's]

Maeve nods, going to kiss the catgirl's cheek, now that she can.

"Nice to know I don't have to worry about catching it, too. Especially since it does something nice for you, and lets me actually see your face..."

[Maeve's]
She goes up to sit on the bed with her.
After a while of waiting, she blinks.
Maeve, I have a question for you.

[Maeve's]

Maeve is quite content to simply sit and snuggle her friend for a while.

"What do you want to know, Khair?"

[Maeve's]
I have suspected for a while that you have or had been in love with me to some degree.
Is that correct?
Her dirty-orange eyes, leaking as always, glance at her friend with uncommon clarity.

[Maeve's]

Maeve looks down the bed for a bit, fidgeting nervously, and tracing out the brands on her palms, before she speaks.

"I don't know. I know I was, once, but you weren't interested... Now I'm not sure. I might be, and I could probably get that way again if I'm not, but... Beyond that, I can't say."
