The numbness spread from his nose down to his toes, stiffening his muscles and making it hard to move. The wolf jerked forward, half dragging himself along the ledge. His eyes gleamed with anger as he lost sight of the cultist and focused instead on the devil in battle with Kadaith.

The Devil, throwing down the body he had been feasting on, roared back at the dragon, and then it diappeared. The Devil looked a bit confused as a giant barbarian man came flying at him, crashing into him, hanging on, and smashing him over and over with his axe. The Devil screams in agony as the axe hits again and again into his flesh, breaking some of the chains that ar wrapped around him. When the assalt is over, chains whips from the Devil's body and attack Kadaith, and the Devil makes direct eye-contact with him.......

Dak loads his crossbow with a strange bolt, the likes of which no one has seen before. It seems to have wisps of string coming from its fletching. He takes aim directly at Arya!
As the bolt travels along its path at a high rate of speed, it disintegrates upon impact, sending a green beam of energy directly back at Dak's chest. This was a peculiar sight all on its own, when from Arya's chest a wide beam of concussive light fires directly at the devil.

As the devil assaulted him mind, both physically and mentally, a grin appeared on Kadaith's face. It seems that it's still taking him lightly. There are no freebies to be had here. Kadaith swings his weapon upwards, easily taking off one of the Devil's swatting hands.

Do you want this dollar
Yes Sir, I do
Then sever your arm, and you can have the dollar
No Sir, I cannot live without my arm
Then remove a finger, and you can have the dollar

Then cry me a cup of tears, and you can have the dollar
No Sir, I cannot cry. Not for a dollar
Then shoot the man yonder, and you can have the dollar
A liquid glob of flame bursts forth from the dragons gaping maw. It smashes straight into the devil's face. The flames do nothing to it but immediately the acid eats through the infernal flesh. It eats through the bone and brain beneath it as well.
Hoping that the mighty swordsman recovers his wits, Infernion switches targets. A quick glide on the wing brings him, pouring smoke, around the magic circle. Another ball of fire and acid is belched forth. As it leaves his mouth, Infernion empowers it with his rods, red energy pouring into the growing ball of death.
It explodes amidst the arrayed cultists. The two closest literally melt beneath the raw power. Another manages to dodge the worst of it, and the last gets hit but is able to shake it off quick enough.
"Come children of Devils, a greater power awaits your souls. ME!"
The robed figure, seeing that the Devil fell at the hands of the warlock, immediately starts chanting, throwing his arms up in the air, and speaking the same language you have seen them cast in before.
The paladin, seeing the Devil destroyed, focuses an eye on the rest of the enemies, cracking a smirk, and charging down the stairs towards the cultists.
The Tieflings spring into action, with smirks of their own on their faces, and teleporting around the field, while shooting evil arcane hellfire all all of you.

As if taking a cue from some unseen force, both of the cultists run into the center of the magic circle, screaming all the way there. Once they get into the circle, they let out a giant scream and both put their hands to their throats, and slice open their throats with their "claws". As the life drains from them, a gargling scream escapes their open throats, blood spilling from their open arteries, seeping into the circle. As this happens, a fire shoots up from the circle, and when the flames dissipate, a portal is left in their place. Then a foot steps out of the portal.......
Stepping out of the portal, the devil roars, stretching his muscles and limbs, and walks towards the Dragon, starting at the Barbarian as well.

The devil is not what gets Infernion's blood boiling, no, its the huge man wielding the dragon's own magic against him that does it. The flaming sword cuts deep into his chest, even as he backs off. He fends away the grasping chains with blasts of force, stumbling back behind the wall of armor that is Ewin.
Tasting the brimstone on the air the Red turns, back to back with Ewin. The high priest has once again appeared. Infernion glances up to where Mai must still be. "She is powerful, that one. I shall give her a gift."
The spectral claw wraps tightly around the priest and hurls him at the tieflings.
"NOW, lightning, Now!" roars the Dragon, hoping the wizard can vaporize the vile man.

Mai could sense one of the tieflings had tried to move her telekinetically, and even though it failed she chided herself for not being as attentive a student of illusions as her Mistress had surely hoped. Still, she didn't have time for that, not with their lives on the line.
The beast wants lightning, eh? Well, I'll not disappoint, she thought, then with a swift motion touched the amethyst gemstone in her circlet, which began to glow. Mai channeled as much of her inner storm as she could into her spell, which coalesced into a bright ball of lightning that she launched down into the room near the base of the summoning circle. The ball erupted into a blast nearly 30 feet across, threatening to scorch the high priest, the new devil and at least one of the tieflings. The residual lightning she sent hurtling across the room into the two robed cultists.

The wolf whimpers as the cold solidifies across his body, constricting his limbs and stopping his movement. Moments later an arcane mist surrounds him and the ice is dissolved, running off as water onto the floor. "Yai!" Arya shouts and bounds down the rest of the stairs. He stops at the base and stares at the high cultist as his tail slowly moves back and forth. Without a word he bounds across the floor and leaps at the high priest, his jaw searching for the mans neck, trying to bring him to the ground.

Dak is still alive, but barely. Flames continue to coat his skin as he groans in pain.
