He tried to strangle you for taking Valerian? That's odd... Does he have something against herbal remedies?

The Probe comes in in the morning around the bed, just barely seen above its edge, making his little gentle noises, as if to warp in breakfast. Then with a blinding flash of light he warps in a pylon that takes up the whole room and collapses through the floor while he bobs calmly back into the other room. I was up for a while giggling over that in the dark.
Ah yes... Programmers are the bane of fun-loving robots.
And I agree. A probe would be an adorable companion. And now I find myself idly wondering as to the size of a pylon...

In my mind, there are good drugs, then there are bad drugs. Good drugs being prescription stuff like painkillers (Panadol, Morphene etc), anti-depressants (which I think I need to be on..) and herbal remedies (does Chamomile tea count? It's a relaxant and an anti-depressant..).
Bad drugs = all those bad things that cops take off you if you have any.

Maybe he's a werewolf?

That's kinda the main coda and message from the song, if your offspring is doing something unhealthy force him into proper help.

1,3,7-trimethyl-1H-purine-2,6(3H,7H)-dione3,7-dihydro-1,3,7-trimethyl-1H-purine-2,6-dione actually, coffee just happens to contain it along with all of the other caffeinated drinks.

does this mean that you can't claim not to drink coffee if you drink energydrinks? BOUNDRIES HAVE BEEN CROSSED!
the world will never be the same again.

Woolies is awesome.
I think for like a year there I only ate Woolies ready-made food. And then it got too expensive, heh.
Regarding the drugs thing, I read somewhere once (it might have been Cracked, so fact-checking might be in order) that hospitals actually keep a stash of heroin handy to give to patients in certain situations. Like people going through withdrawal, and... women in labour? Wow, that sounds really unlikely. Brb, fact-checking.

You don't drink coffee, you drink caffeine, which is what I was saying, the drug isn't coffee but a component of it and it is shared by all of the caffeinated drinks (as much as the definition of caffeinated presupposes caffeine.)

You might be thinking of methadone which is similar in structure to heroin and is sometimes used to reduce dependency on it due to the way high doses of it result in reduced heroin effects, (as well as being similar to morphine making it an analgesic).

According to Wikipedia, you are actually right. Much more common in the UK than elsewhere, though.
If you're ever in a situation where you can't survive, go for the broke and fill all of creation with chickens. Just imagine the reaction of people halfway around the world when every square inch of space in their world is suddenly and completely full of chickens.

Yeah, that was a joke. I am well aware. You didn't need to deconstruct my allready shoddy attempt at humor. Now i need another roll of duct tape.

Sleep is for the weak. Or rather: Todays society isn't really constructed around the idea that people have private interests too. I've yet to meet someone who sleeps propperly while also spending the day on something else such as work or studies. Simply because there isn't enough time to do both to a satisfying degree.
But it's more fun to say: Sleep isn't fun. WC3 is.
As for the whole drug thing: What hospital does NOT store drugs for painkillers or other medical use? And more to the point: What medicine isn't technically a drug? addictive or no.

I currently work during the day and study in the evenings, and I get an entirely sufficient 7 hours of sleep a day. I sleep well, too, but easy sleeping is luckily one of my gifts. Of course, I don't really have time for gaming anymore, but I generally catch an episode of whatever show or half a movie in the background while I make food or eat or whatever.
So it's possible, it just sucks.

Does anyone else remember a rather obscure sweet/chocolate thing called Terry's Pyramint? It was roughly the same size as a Chocolate Orange, made out of thin dark chocoloate and packed to the gills with mint cream....Diabetic comas have never been so delicious. ^_^

If by this you mean how much is needed, about 7-8 hours. If you mean how much a typical college student actually gets, it's either 2-3 hours or you add 10 to that figure.

Note the "to a satisfying degree" a episode or movie in total (1-2 hours?) doesn't seem all that satisfying to me. Especially coupled with your conclusion that it does indeed suck, even if it can be done.
MY DEBATE CLASS PAYS OFF!
...I also agree with Succubus. either 3-4 or 12-14 xD

Alas, the Australian Woolworths bears no relation to our dear, departed Woolies. It's one of their two main supermarket chains.

Heh. You get used to different levels of satisfying. Perils of putting on the big boy pants, I suppose. And if we're still talking sleep, I've mentioned that I generally get proper rest even with such a full day. Maybe it's just me, and I'm just lucky. Also, I study two days on, one day off, so that day off I can usually catch up with my fun, doing whatever. Used to be hanging out with the girlfriend, but heh.
Anyway, the one thing I learned from having to live like an adult: it generally sucks.
