I gotcha. I mean, I know Shep wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. You don't get a title like the Lord of Lies by being honest.

EDIT: ...of course, you could therefore get the paradox that everything he says is a lie. Meaning everything he says is the truth. But also a lie. And...yeah...

Oh, just to give everyone a heads up, Toric & I have had an IM conversation where I had him make some rolls and stuff, so if his incoming IC post seems to take some liberties, it's because he's already rolled it & cleared it with me.

I'm all for sneak attack OHKOs on enemy mooks. Wouldn't want it to be used against me, of course, but there's little more satisfying than getting the drop on some unsuspecting enemies and taking them out before they realize that they're under attack.

Just stopping by to say I have noticed that the forums are back up. (Hooray!) Unfortunately, they came back up over a very busy weekend for me. Tomorrow isn't looking to be much better. I'll try to get in an IC post Monday night, but more likely it will be Tuesday or Wednesday. Pavick will just sit back and take in the ambiance (and trying not to vomit) until then.

And this is where the entire party tackles Lucan, clamps their hands over his mouth and hisses at him to shut up.

And Lucan already got told what happened to the Lings.

Lucan's been told several different things about what happened to the Lings, most of them contradictory and all of them unreliable. Not that he's really expecting anything reliable from Baalzebul, either, but he did ask what Lucan wanted.

I'm pretty sure the Insight DC for figuring out that answering him at all is a terrible idea is -2. The implication being 'please don't screw us over'. ;p

If it makes Lucan feel better, I actually did have a subpoint on my campaign notes about the Lings at around lvl 27. I can bump that up if you'd like.

Nah, I was just keeping it out there. I also figured it'd be about the last thing that Baalzebul would expect questions about, and unlikely that he'd be able to manipulate it into something to use against us.

Plus, you know, he asked a question. Lucan answered it. I'm not quite sure why it got Nai so upset.

Well, to be fair you suggested the party tackle him and tell him to shut up. Though it was in the context of a Big Grin smiley face, so I have no idea how to interpret that.

What'll get really interesting is how Baalzebul will answer Lucan's request if this whole "Zyrr tried to poison him" situation gets resolved.

I've lost access to the Character Builder and Compendium... what's Feywild Flanker do? I can't remember if it's the one that causes Combat Advantage on use of Fey Step or if it's the one that lets me drag an ally with me...

The ability you're thinking of is the Iliyanbruen Guardian Starting Feature at 1st level, which I believe Eltain has.

There's also at least one feat that does it. But yes, Eltain can teleport with Zyrr if he can get to Zyrr, the problem is that there isn't really anywhere to go afterwards.

As for the comment with the grin, I just thought the mental image of the entire party frantically piling on Lucan to keep him from trying to make any deals was funny.

Nope, it's available in feat form for Warlords.

...Ah, here it is, Martial Power, page 143. Fey Tactics.

Pavick can make a portal with but a wave of his hand, yes?

That's a good feat. Considering how many times Aramil seems to feystep in an encounter, I'd say that's one worth taking.

Yep. Unless y'all have some bright ideas, this may be a good time to play the "Oh gods Pavick get us out of here" card.

I had one before, but it rather depended on us not going to dinner with Jabba.

Sorry, Toric, looks like Zyrr's gonna have to get a new spelljammer.

And the crew is dead or worse for sure now unless Kosalram can pull something mad off. Granted Frank is still there and would let Kosalram ride him, but that still screws the rest of the crew. :(

...I told you so.

Y'know, I kinda have the mention it, but I do find it a bit annoying that anything Shep ever says to NPC is pretty much ignored or laughed off because he can't roll as high of a Diplomacy check as the other people in the party, no matter how much effort I put into his posts. It sorta discourages me from having Shep talk, because he'll just get shot down. I can't build Shep with a Charisma-focus, because both his race and his class prevent me from doing so.

Not really a big deal, but...Baalzebul's title is the Lord of Flies. With an F. I don't know if it really matters, but there it is.

No mistake, both titles are used for Baalzebul.

-edit- If I remember my lore correctly, he was the Lord of Lies until he was cursed by Asmodeus, and then was called the Lord of Flies as a semi-mocking title

It's a little bit of word play... both in English and the Hebrew that the title's derived from. Baal-zebub means "Lord of flies." Baal-zebul means "Baal/lord is prince." Both are used in the Bible to represent the Devil, the "father of lies."

So apparently when we finally get around to forming that party band, the first single can be a cover of Sympathy For The Devil.

Also, I've got a feeling it's too late now, but we could really stand to get around to actually trying to escape instead of continuing to talk to Jabba, as cute as I'm sure it is to do so. We have resources for this, yes? I suggest we use them already.

Unfortunately, I can do absolutely nothing here. Even if I can get adjacent to Zyrr to teleport him, I don't have anywhere to go with him, and I can't do anything at all about the rest of the party.

So I've got nothing.

Pavick can and probably will open up a gate here pretty shortly. Now that he's reduced his arguments to petty threats, I don't see that continuing to talk will do much good.

Here's the perception check. (1d20+11)[26]
