I do love when the forums are back. I was a bit worried. Sometimes they go out in my area and the people I play with have still had them. I don't why that would be, but it's something I've noticed with Giantitp.
Just found what looks like a good combo for a burn deck. As far as I can tell, attack and receive(one of the two cards in the combo) never states the damage needs to come from your opponent.
The combo works like this; play either tremendous fire or destruction ring to deal 1000 damage to both you and your opponent, afterword, chain with however many attack and receive cards you have on the field, activated in response to you taking damage. So you should be able to deal at least 1700 damage, with a max of 3700 if I'm reading the effects right.
Does this combo work? It looks like it could also be combined with some of those cards that gain bonuses when you use a chain.

The card's got a bit more versatility and can be used with destruction ring to deal 2000 damage while taking 0.
Thing is,
I'm not sure the triggers in that chain activate properly for what you proposed. They would all have to act on the same initial damage at the same time and I don't know if it can work like that. Assuming it did work they would each do 700 since if they are chained together they can't be in the grave, and they would need to be chained together in order to act on that damage. So they either each act on different damages, or they all act on the same damage and none are in the grave.
So assuming it's possible, the top-out damage is 3100 that costs four traps, one monster, and 1000 life points. Not actually that great. Especially when you compare with the above combo. 2000 damage for 1 tribute monster and 2 traps. This makes the above combo more efficient as you have as much chance without searching of having 2 wheel of destructions and 2 barrel behind the doors as having 1 wheel of destruction and three attack and receives. If you activated them all at once it would cost you 2 monsters and would deal 4000.

Good point about that card(barrel behind the door), using that instead would work a bit better, and makes the alternate combo(using tremendous fire instead of destruction ring) cost only 1 spell and a trap(though it would have a 1 round set up in that case)

Well, aside from stringing it all together into a backstory my character is pretty much done. Got his appearance, personality, traits, flaws and even friends and family done. Just need to finish the backstory to have him 100% compleated.
It's basically 3E/3.5 dnd, but adapted to a modern setting, the srd is here, for most of the things not mentioned on it(such as how much xp is needed to level up) it's usually the same as 3E or 3.5.
edit; just found an odd archetype on the wiki(though as far as I can tell the cards don't actually exist for it, at least not currently, or they haven't been added to the english game yet)
The "Cat" archetype, looks like it could at least be an unusual beast type archetype, though not a very powerful one.

I thought Shadow Blade might have been waiting for a seventh player before posting out the decklists so that everyone would get their decklists at about the same time. Although it has been a week since they last posted...
**edit
Man, a couple days with forum access and I forget about the massive forum outage we had about a week ago. Since it's only been a couple of days since the forums came back online I think we need to wait a few more days before getting too worried.

Good point, I had forgotten about the outage as well.

Hello, I'm new here.
Are there any slots left open?
This game seems really cool and I would love to play.
(and if there are open spots, what deck colors are still open. I was trying to figure it out, but I got a bit confused)
(and use d20 modern for the base character, right?)

I think there's two open slots still, but I'm not 100% sure

Playing over dueling network requires both players to be online at the same time doesn't it?
I have not used it before but I know from trying to get involved in instant messeging/skype games that getting people online at the same time can be a right pain. I do not know if this game will be happening (if the GM has lost interest or not)or if there are still available spaces. But I thought I should check about the DN question before I chose not to jion

DN does require two people to be online at the same time, but as long as we can schedule in advance it should work fine..
Also the gm does appear to have vanished, should we work on finding a new gm now that he's been gone without updates(and he has been online daily) for about a week?

This. You find a time that works for both players and they do their best to make it. Alternatively, any time that both players are online that can work too.
