Edit: Nevermind, just reread the rules text. He doesn't know that I used suggestion on him though (he only beat my roll by 5, not 11.) From now on I will merely be attempting to convince people that Jave is a nice, friendly person who won't abuse or sell their secrets--and even better, it lasts longer than 10 minutes.

Sorry it took so long for me to get to this, I was trying to find a solution. I can't get mythweavers to save my sheet anymore. I just doesn't happen. I don't know why, but the button does nothing.
Put it on a sheet of paper and I'll trust you. Just list all your bonuses when I ask. Spoiler your abilities, skill ranks, BAB(and attack bonuses for any weapons etc.), AC(with TAC, FFAC, and FFTAC), feats, HP, initiative and inventory. You keep track of your spells and principles and what not. You founded it, and with your motives, I think I can trust you.

Thanks. I wrote it up 5 or 6 times now, so it shouldn't be hard to do again.
I'm still awake (1:08pm) from yesterday, so I won't be re-writing it till after I wake up, when ever that is.
Sidenote: If you're trusting me based on in-game motivations, you should see my other gramarist, Ycar of Cinmo. He's basically the evil version of this character. Trying to ascend to godhood...
Which gave me an idea for this character. If I get enough people following The Philosophy, can my character ascend?

Reason: said game instead of gave in the second to last sentance. Dam insomnia.
If that happens Jave will put his ability to bluff Clearsight to good use. (I can't imagine a character ascending before 20th level.) Though by that point Jave will probably be residing in some more technologically advanced world. Just think what you could do with magnetic fluxes if you had superheated plasma...

Other than weapons, not much probably. I'm pretty sure the use of gramarie precludes the use of electronics and other real-world physics dependent technology.
Are there any rules for creating or purchasing small islands?

No, guys, I mean how do we not all have our own separate estates?
I would probably have a small community (currently my followers, potential for recruiting beyond given maximum?) of well-made cottages with spell outputs for all our daily needs and a metal mine for necessary resources. Why am I leaving that behind for a communal house?
Maybe we all keep our current "homes" and in addition have a communal gathering point connected to our "homes" with portals.
Also, everyone knows pretty much none of the old tech we came up with works, right? Transformers, engines, and fluxes only work on one side of a portal, ebbs and circuits can't go through a portal unless you are a second level dreammason who took that special ability, spells can NEVER go through a portal, terminal velocity is only 50 feet per second...
Oh, D&D terminal velocity is 300fpr, or 50fps. Regardless of vacuum or any other conditions.
So, unless we are changing that rule, the waterfall generator looses the vast majority of its umf.
D&D terminal velocity is only for places with air. There are technically no rules for vacuum.

Emphasis mine. Get an enveloping pit. Engines add no bulk.

I'm using ring gates--their description EXPLICITLY states that attacks can be sent through. Ring gates? 160,000 GP. A 144d6 sonic cannon? Expensive, but I could calculate it. Cursed items? Priceless.

those have a price too you know. I once bought several helms of opposite alignment for a high level optimization contest.

None of my favorite ones have a price, though. Bags of devouring are awesome for grapplers. Crystal hypnosis balls? Great fun for the whole family! And let's not forget the ones with a price too. Would you allow a high ego magic fishing pole in the game?
In case you haven't noticed, Jave's higher level followers tend to be a bit...outlandish, to say the least. He originally gave them access to the cursed items to help find interesting uses for them, but the follower proved quite irresponsible. Afterwards, the followers weren't content with not being allowed cursed items, so Jave lets them use the nonlethal ones.

I asked in a spoiler, but perhaps you didn't see it (it was the quirky miniboss squad post). I want one of my followers to be an improviser (I linked to the class) that specializes in fishing poles and nets. Also, a magically sentient fishing pole is just pure awesomeness. Say it out loud with me: Magically Sentient Fishing Pole!
Edit: I can see problems with the dispelling field, namely that as someone is probably going to die as soon as Jave takes his hydro cannon through the dispelling field. Also, what happens to Isaac in the field? I might as well note here that Jave stacks mundane disguises with magical ones specifically for cases like this. And that since Jave's arms, legs and head are sticking out of semi-spaces, it seems that when the openings are suppressed, he would be dismembered and decapitated, or sucked into the semi-space. How are they preventing people from smuggling weapons in through semi-spaces? Jave has a semi-space under his tongue to pull out a dagger at any moment, for example. I should probably stop being so picky if I want Jave to keep his appendages.

I was of the impression that semispaces evacuated their contents when dispelled or destroyed. I can't say the same for the portals, but hiding bladed weaponry in your mouth was probably not the greatest idea.
I'll also take this opportunity to make that K. Local check: (1d20+11)[15] including +5 from tome (one use left)
Over half of Jave's body mass is back at his base. Also, putting Jave through a dispelling field that he was not informed of was really stupid on the tinkers part. At least one of his semi-spaces is 64x64 and completely filled with raw materials. Jave wasn't carrying a bomb, but dispelling his semi-spaces would have the same effect. Also, we still don't know how biollurgical constructs, nevermind Isaac will fare in an antimagic field. I'm sort of tempted to disguise an infected biollurgical construct and have Jave use Dimension Door, but I can't see that working. Also, this was not described as antimagic, it was described as a dispelling field. Dispel Magic is known to permanently destroy stuff made with Gramarie.
Jave's knife is sheathed. Also, wouldn't it follow the rules for having ethereal jaunt wear off in something else (takes damage and teleports somewhere else.) This does not change the fact that bad things happen when you empty an extradimensional space all at once. Especially in a confined area. So unless things work differently for some reason, rocks and water materialize out of thin air and everyone else suffocates. Jave has very good reasons to despise antimagic fields.
I just realized that Kellus was talking about bubbles when he said that it only effects stuff on the inside:He specified bubbles and area effects. I'm sticking with my ring gates, but you might want to note that outputs should work. On a side note, I also realized that you could sovereign glue something to itself using ring gates or portals. What happens when the portals are destroyed? Would there be any difference because of the material of the object?

Yeah, a dispelling field (even an anti-magic field) without consideration to things like chassi and any other gramarie people may be using is... odd, at best.
Certain characters should probably have notes of special dispensation that allow them to avoid passing through such things. Like a character with magical prosthetic. Or someone with the ability to fake such papers.
It's like an airport check in, don't put anything dangerous to dispel through the screen. If not, you could always just try to get around security. It shouldn't be too hard.
