Finally the site is back up! I hope you're all still here. This downtime really caught me by surprise as everything went down right when I was about to post the next IC segment.

Sorry, very busy few days for me. I would have posted saying that I would likely be unable to post for a few days, but when I went to do that, the forums were down. Anyway, I think I should be back now.
Okay, I just want to make sure I understand what you are planning. You've decided to attack over twenty goblins and their hobgoblin boss without knowing what kind of numbers are in the mansion, your also running the risk of bringing the wrath of the entire goblin populace down upon you.

Eldon was suggesting attacking. He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer though, and tends to be a little too optimistic for his own good most of the time. I figured this was a good way to remind people of that without any chance of people actually going along with his half-baked plans.
That said, yeah I agree it's probably better to look for another way in or maybe go to a completely different part of town to look there first.
My thought would be to determine what kind of goblin force is patrolling the eastern wall where there's a hole in the wall. If it seems reasonable, perhaps would could try to kill them and sneak in through the hole. If an alarm gets raised, well we can always run.
We don't really know about the range on the scrolls. If I remember right we were told to wait until we were in the middle of an area to use one, so I'm guessing it's pretty short. Hiding in the trees outside the estate doesn't seem like it would be close enough to me (but we really don't have enough info to be certain).
My vote would be hold on to them for now. I'd hate to waste one because we were just too far out of range.
Since Eldon isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, he'll probably go with the flow on this. (That's why I'm making my opinion known OOC instead of IC.)

Thanks for bringing this up dariathalon, I completely forgot about that. In order to get an accurate reading you'd need to be in the estate.

Due to the short range, I think we should attack the broken east(?) wall and move in through there. Even if we did attack somewhere else, there is a chance it will be in the manor, meaning we will have to fight these goblins sooner or later anyhow. No time like the present, eh?

Part of me agrees, but I expect this to be too tough a fight right now. I'm kind of hoping that if we go elsewhere and stir up some trouble. Some of these goblins will go to investigate and we can sneak back here to take them on in smaller numbers.
Where was the hole in the wall mentioned? I don't think I caught that detail.

It was something Dakaran picked up during his perception check.

If we're going to initiate a fight, it'd be good to know if any of you have spent any dailies or encounter powers. And if you did, would the encounter powers be recharged?
Eldon is full up on everything. The only "encounter" we've had since our last extended rest was a skill challenge, and that's what we were resting up from when we encountered your character.
Looking more closely, I see there is a possible exception to full up regarding healing surges. When I looked on my sheet, it said I've used two. I think that's probably just a note I forgot to erase during our last extended rest because I can't think of anything that would have cost those surges since then. I'll go ahead and erase them for now, but if anybody knows what I used them on I'll put them back.
