Maybe, depends on the setting...

Giovanni Chronicles is one of the few adventure module type books made for VtM. Dealing with some reasonably major metaplot events relating to the titular clan. Start as mortals in late-Medieval/early-Renaissance Europe and go from there.

Thread is there Thundercracker. We're just about filled up, but I can leave a spot for you. Experience has taught me that not everyone that expresses interest bothers to apply, and the little downtime we had will probably cause one or two to forget about it.

Besides, you guys are all good roleplayers so the more the merrier, I say.

Yeah, in truth I'm surprised everyone's still here. Not that I'd point anyone in particular out, only that a mixture of the game taking a direction player's aren't interested in, downtime, real life obligations, etc usually makes it a bit smaller.

On that note, I think I've mentioned it before but i reminder that if any of you do need a break from the game, we can work it out, even if that break will take some time.

Well Dark Seeker I would have been interested but I see you have more then enough as it is.

Yea I am happy with how this game is going also, really holds the interest based on the solid writing, character depth and setting.

A bit of unsolicited advice: getting accommodation in city centre London is a nightmare.

...

That ... that doesn't even resemble advice does it, sigh ... well gripe over anyway.

Oh, you're in London! Why don't you come to the UK meetup the 1st of December in Leicester? It's a lot of fun, and a good way to make friends in a foreign country (I should know, that's what I did). I think there are loads of playgrounders from London.

Alternatively (or beside that), can I hit you up for a beer when I'm in London?

After taking a look, if Rick fails to soak at least one of the damage done to him this turn, he will enter torpor. That's okay, I was planning for a skip after this night anyways.

Would really impress the bosses, I'm sure.

In the other game I've played, another ghoul nearly managed to kill my 7th generation Ventrue. I have the worst luck with ghouls.

Ghouls are tougher than people give them credit for. Even one dot of potence can make a difference. A well trained ghoul is usually higher on the food chain than a newly embraced kindred (though Cavet isn't what I'd call well trained). It's why Cassidy has two.

But yes, Rick has lost the fight. The last round saw Rick miss again, while Cavet managed to bring Rick down to crippled. Unless you want Rick to frenzy, but if he does that odds are he'll kill Cavet by ripping him apart. Also Rick is two levels from torpor, and three from final death so I wouldn't advise it.

EDIT: In fact, according to the rulebook, a sample for a "ghoul bodyguard" is

4 dots of strength, dexterity, stamina, brawl, firearms
3 dots of dodge, melee
plus a few things here and there

Yeah, time for Rick to lose gracefully.

IE, probably pretend the last blow left him mortally wounded on the floor(which is not far from the truth, frankly.)

I was saving up for a 4th dot of Stamina. But maybe I'll buy up a dot or 3 of dodge instead.

Well, first things first though. I think Rick's priorities right now...

1) Deal with the perilous situation right now
2) Make up for the loss of face he's caused the Tremere
3) Then become tougher

I have come unto you tonight to overwhelm with awesomeness. You people bring it on!

Also, you hang in there, daelrog. So far I'm loving how this went, though things admittedly were rough on either one of us at times.

And everyone, I found something that could well ruin a long-standing joke I like. I will not tell, because that would be telling, yo, I shut my mouth and hold my fingers still.

That said and thusly out of the way... Time to hit Turton up. Love what I'm seeing, Strawbs.

@ Daelrog:

with "Dutch" do you really mesn "Dutch" (as in somebody who Amy has never heard of before) or was it by any chance a misspell for 'Duke' (that she had suspected could be a ghoul)?

Guys, I might have to call in that downtime thing we'd talked about. Time is a rather expensive commodity for me right now, lots of things going on and no end in sight. Updates might be sparse, and those I do make could take hits quality-wise for this. I'll do what I can, but it could be that I'll kind of have to take a "vacation" for the next week or so. Apologies for not being clearer, it really isn't yet all that clear to me.

But seeing how I have an hour currently, I'd say I'll type one up.

Awww, I wanted to compare notes... . Jokes aside, Dancrilis, if you're not back at the nosferatu flats tonight, Amy will probably worry about what happened to you. Just fyi.

That's good, Danielle will wonder about her too, but she is more concerned about her mother and of not being seen to be overstaying her welcome with Flat Face.

Although depending on how it played out I look forward to reading about Amy's action/thought process, and if Flat Face will lie for his own amusement.

Amy (after deciding to confront him, possible against Mike's advice): Where is Danielle.
Flat Face: She got uppity so I chopped her into pieces and threw her in the sewers <shrug> she might survive and wash up somewhere.

Actually I could see Flat Face doing just that if she did start to overly grate on his nerves.

Shhhh....don't give the storyteller ideas!

Actually, it should be written down somewhere: RULE 1 (of every system): don't give the GM ideas.
