Default Umm.. am I missing something here?

So I was sick yesterday (food poisoning I think) and I was making a backup character for an upcoming 4e game. A hybrid bard/warlord was my choice.

Between the delirium of food poisoning and reading 8 bit theater I wanted to make a character that was good at skills (so I could pretend to relocate my skill points) and could make enemies sweatdrop when he makes weird plans or says something crazy... Best way to represent that? All the warlord/bard abilities that lets their allies attack instead of him.

The way I see it is that if I use a power such as Commander's Strike... It isn't that I'm saying "hey attack" but I said something to the enemy and an adjacent ally (who is used to it) takes advantage of the situation. I can essentially role play the entire battle and have other people do stuff.... Yay being a Lord of Bards!

Anyways.... What I don't get is how high all the Untrained Skills are. I mean I get having a +3 from the bard feat I took but some of the Misc numbers get to +7 and I'm not sure where they all come from.... Did I do something wrong or is my character builder glitching?

Oh the ability scores are houserules sooo yeah a bit stronger than normal.

Spoiler

Well let's do some basic calculations.

All your untrained skills get +5 because of your level. They get +1 from your bard "skill versatility" and another +3 because of your "bard of all trades". finally, your Factotum Helm gives you another +1 to all untrained skillls. So right off the bat, you've got +10 to all untrained skills.

When you add your relevant ability modifiers, (STR +1, CON +3, DEX +2, INT +5, WIS +1, CHA +5) you're only missing the following bonuses:

Arcana +2,
History +2,

Which happen to be your Eladrin racial bonuses. So in regards to your question, the character builder is working just fine.

Forgot about the skill versatility and the Factotum Helm... Hmmm thought I chose another item... Oh well this works just fine.

I'm still a bit out of it and at least this is showing me that it's a good thing I'm not DMing today.

Thanks!
