As much as I would like one of those, I don't know if its wide spread enough to get them. Also I am curious if they are going to deal with the sudden introduction of a lot more BKs.
Also, the reason why I posted so soon (I do try to avoid posting 2/3).
Re: [Steam]-y Thread 30: Throwing titles out the window!
I recently downloaded Assassin's Creed 1, and I've encountered a glitch where the sound doesn't match up with the mouth movements of the person speaking. At first I thought my graphics settings were too high, but lowering them doesn't seem to have helped. Anybody have ideas on how to fix this?

If you use a blood-based McGuffin in a campaign with a vampire PC, plan for what will happen when said PC sticks it in his mouth.

This isn't a glitch; lip-synching just wasn't a common thing in 2007.
You've been spoiled by modern gaming.

I understand that prospective.
Reminds me of a conversation I had with my Dad a few months ago (ok maby half a year ago). I was talking about that 1998 was the best if not one of the best years in Video game history and I mentioned Half-life come out. He was convinced it was more around 2000, and HL2 came out around 2005. I ended up googling it for him.
He felt old. Doesn't help me any either, I remember it coming out and getting him to install it (Didn't quite trust me with that back then :P).

I reinstalled Assassin's Creed II, and I realized that while the game itself is still stellar, the graphics do not hold up.
Plus, 2007 was five years ago. Let the paranoia sink in.
See, for me, I see it as "2007 was only five years ago". Slightly different emphasis, but it completely changes the meaning of that line.

Attempt no LAN-parties there :E
Oh how I miss the days of LAN-parties. Yes lugging around however many computers/tvs/x-boxes was a pain, but it was always pretty great getting 10-20 people in a house to do an all nighter playing one game or another.
Some friends and I tried to do some LAN a few years back, only to learn that most modern x-box games restricted LAN use to one player per unit, which is like the designers waving a giant middle finger at the concept of the LAN-party.

... how did you know when to use it? Because I would never stop pushing it.

That's because it was designed to slow the PC down to a level where software which had been written assuming a 6MHz 286 didn't go crazy on a 33MHz 486. There was still software being released like that relatively late on--the PC version of Magic Carpet, which came out in 1994, runs unplayably fast on a modern system, for example.

It's been ages. My first computer was a Mac (and I hated it for being so basic), my second was a Windows '98 desktop (with a kickass Voodoo3 2000 AGP, maaaaaan), and then there was a gap of HP (ugh) laptops my mom bought (dammit, mom), and finally, my laptop for my 15th birthday (now I'm building a desktop).

That's one sturdy keyboard, then. Mine is not even a year old and I already broke the A key's little spring-things. Damn shooters and their useful strafing.

Well it should be, considering it is a hulking beast that does not fit in a normal keyboard tray. Oh, and I don't have the armrest attached to it. That would make it even bigger.
Good thing it has 18 configurable keys with three tabs for a total of 54 keys for every profile. Makes playing Dota so much easier.
