Friendship Is Zippers. And Belts. Let's Play Kingdom Hearts
Ah, Kingdom Hearts. Brainchild of Tetsuya Nomura, neverending font of zipper-related humour.
Let's see what Wikipedia has to say:

The game combines characters and settings from Disney animated features with those from Square's Final Fantasy series.
So, Final Fantasy meets Disney? Must've been one hell of an (most likely stuck) elevator pitch...
Surprisingly, the two franchises merge pretty well, though. The game is lots of fun, the plot, while a bit convoluted,
is internally consistent, and the characters are true to source for the most part.
Join me and our boards very own Domochevsky as we struggle through this epic Saga of friendship, magic, and a notable absence of ponies.
What to expect:
- Playing as a mage/defense combo, with offense forfeit.
- A semi-skilled 99%* playthrough by me, with the occasional grind being done off-camera
- Commentary by me (knows the games) and Domochevsky (doesn't know what he's going to go through, yet...)
- A lot of benevolent bickering about the plot and characters
- One to two updates per week
- A whole lot of fun
*99% because no way in hell are we going to beat that one boss, except if I feel particularly bored and masochistic somewhen down the line. Don't bet on it. Seriously. Screw that guy.
Spoiler Policy:
- Talking about the plot of the other games in the series is strictly verboten.
- Talking about the plot of this game is OK for plot points we already covered, and OK if in spoiler tags for things to come, as long as this doesn't turn into an all-spoiler thread.
- Talking about game mechanics is a-OK, once we get into the game proper. Just give us two or three episodes before you go all out.
Since we're already streaming this to get Domo in on the fun, I'll post the url and times for the livestream here and via my twitter, if anyone wants to view it.
We'll be editing some boring parts out in the final videos, if neccessary, so the straming sessions might differ in content from the final updates.
As always, new episodes will be posted with videolinks to blip.tv and download links, both in the OP and in the regular thread.
This time around, however, we're also hosting the stuff on our own site:

Everyone fears white haired prettyboys like him because the author/plot is on their side by default. It's quite common to be cutscene-suckerpunched by them.
(Seriously, we need to throw that guy off a bridge while we still have the chance!)

Yeah, there are basically two steps to winning the fight: Learning how not to die within the first 20 seconds, and figuring out how to stop the attack where he takes you to one health. Once you have those down you're good.

The thing is, they went -too- far with those 2, at least when you don't do the easy tricks and take the fun out of the fight. If they stayed at the level of KHIIFM's Bonus Boss, then I'd not complain. That fight was hard, but not cheap. Best. Level. Ever.
I heard they learned their lesson: BBS Final Mix made both bosses a bit easier, and the hidden boss of 3DS doesn't seem to have nearly the complaining about him.
Back on topic, that introduction cutscene is so trippy...
Also, in terms of easyness vs difficultness, the item you pick and lose determines what stats come first when you level up, as well as how soon you gain certain abilities. Just for the sake of getting guard and such earlier, I've always prefered taking the shield and sacrificing the sword, but that's just me. Decent stats all around, with a good propincity for being able to survive.
Also, you don't get your first spell until after you've beaten the... I believe the 3rd climax boss. You'll know him because you get help, in case you don't know the game already.

We continue our adventures on the Destiny Islands.
This one should be the last one with asynchronous audio, I hope.
Also, let me know about any kinks, glitches or bugs with the video, the site or the stream.
We finish up Destiny Islands and take our first step in Traverse Town.
Also, meet someone whom Domo despises.
BOO I SAY!
Audio errors are gone, and should be gone for good from now on, since I have kinda optimized my production pipeline.
As always, download the source file for triple audio.
Also, Blip Mirrors should be online by the end of the week.
Meet the other jungle book and witness the drama of me failing to jump from hippos! Yes, really. Hippos. YAY!
Also, Announcement: We'll be postponing thursdays episode 'til monday. Afterwards, this LP will be on hiatus for a few weeks, since I just moved and don't have teh interwebs at home yet. I guess it'll be about 6 weeks from now, hopefully sooner.
My System Shock LP won't be affected by this, since I'm recording that one solo and can upload it from work, but I can't stream my game to Domo from there, obviously. Sorry, guys.
My ISP did finally get around to hooking me up with sweet sweet intarwebz, and of course the first thing I do is continue this masterpiece!
Well, it's been a while. Let's see what the crazy greeks are up to...
The next episode should be up in about three hours or something like that, and the next one somewhen tomorrow. Afterwards we're returning to our tried and true mon-thu schedule. Enjoy :)
