@Tarith: "You heard Mistress Nerine! Bring this place down. CHAAARRRGEEEE!!!" The Giants begin moving en masse towards Swan's Rest.
@Xander: You watch below as arrows cover the area between the brutes and the villagers. A few boulders roll over a house and casualties are had, but the damage is controlled. The giants are getting a savage beating. Down in the middle of it all, you see Dantie rushing in, morningstar held high. A few feet away, Jacob is slicing and dicing one wearing metal plates. Then, you get a message in your mind.
Xander... tis I, Anzaril. Arrallae has fallen upon my lake and is profoundly asleep. Would you know why?
Tarith follows the giants in, planning on doing a little backstabbing once the melee starts.

She performed a seance, and while weakened, Nerine and her associate attacked, swans rest is fully of hill giants, we are busy fighting them off, and do not know the location of Nerine or her associate, be on guard, as they may still be looking for her.
Xander Casts Freezing fog, focused directly underneath the lead charging giant.

@The Party: A few houses destroyed and several dozen villagers killed does not deter Swan's Rest from their resolve. The skies goes black as arrows fly towards the invading giants. Three drop immediately, covered in arrows. Jacob manages to slay finish off another one with his swords.
I wonder where Tarith took Arrallae... if that boy escaped with her, gods help him!
To Anzaril. That is good, the longer this battle goes on, the more villagers are being lost, any aid you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Spoiler
If I'm not present when Xander's turn comes up, and if the giant and there weapons are within 30 ft of each other, Xander wants to try casting a (chained) target version of grease on as many of the giant's weapons as they get a reflex save for targeting a wielded item DC 17 on primary, 13 for the rest, failing means they drop their weapons, Xander wants hitting as many of there weapons as possible(up to 12 within 30 ft of the primary target)

Alan even with a charge they would not reach Dantie as he is infront of the temple. The closet one would have to take 3 turns to get to me. And thats charging each turn. http://pyromancers.com/media/view/ma...round_id=17270 This is the map you gave me, and that is the layout and were they would be.I moved them 60ft. up from where they last were from the charge. They would be able to attack Xander instead of me, but if I am not mistaken he is still invisible so...Wont happen. And then I took out the 4 that fell so far.
Dantie seeing the giants starting to charge in Moves forward while casting a spell.

"You're not Mistress Nerine. I should have known!"
Spoiler
I know, spell indicates otherwise, but you need some action on your side as well. Besides, even for her, it would be too suspicious. And bluff only gets you so far.
Tarith just stands there, watching as the giant frantically tries to hit him, only to see the blow bounce off of his armor.
"So sad. So you figured it out. Serving her has lead to your deaths. Leave now, and we might not kill you."

@The Party: You watch the giants try and hold their clubs and boulders as this slide off their hands. The villagers let another volley of arrows fly as jacob holds on to one of the giants using his blades as hand holds against the giant's barrel chest. The monster howls in pain before falling backwards. Three more giants fall head first as they are peppered in arrows.
"This is almost over! Keep at it!" Jacob rallies his men into action.

Nerine, Luther, and the elf look at a giant oval mirror where the battle is taking place. The giants peppered with arrows. Tarith impersonating Nerine, Xander casting multiple chained spells on the brutes and incapacitating them. The elf turns to Nerine.
"I give you unlimited resources to deal with a village containing an integral piece of The Master's plan... and you bring in hill giants."
"Well...I didn't expect the others to... well... I..."
"There is a reason I gave you an entire file on what they can do, Nerine!"
"I am sure she has learned her lesson, sir. She won't make that mistake again." Luther patronizes Nerine as his shadow holds his stomach in a motion that could only be described as laughter.
The elf leaves the mirror open.
"Enjoy the show. I must take my leave."
"Where to?", Nerine looks puzzled.
"I have a meeting with Brunhausser. He will likely want a progress update on his dear daughters."
"Aren't those the ones who went to Hammerbruk?"
The elf laughs as he opens a gate showing a castle in the distance.
"Yes indeed! And Nerine, watch the mirror. You might learn something."
"Elf? Among other things, this is the image of a nymph. For all you know, I could be a small toad. Then again, if I were a small toad, you would have someone to look up to, so..."
Tarith tries to bring down the giant, using his daggers as climbing spikes

To Anzaril. It appears as if the situation in Swans Rest is under control. How is Arrallae? I will alert Jacob of her location and condition.
To the party. Two left? That hardly warrants the use of one of my spells, I am confident Jacob and the rest will be able to make quick work of them now.
Xander pulls out a pearl of power (lvl 2) and focuses on restoring Glitterdust to his mind.
I agree Xander, lets hope they do not turn Tarith into a pin cousin in the process with those arrows of theirs. Dantie says seeing the archers getting ready to fire. It seems they were better prepared then what we were led to believe. Dantie says to the others as he watches the volly of arrows be launched into the sky.
Dodging Arrows? I have had a lot of practice at that. It does get tricky when you run out of ammo, and need to catch the arrows, though.

Xander chuckles over the mental link. Yes I suppose trying to catch them would complicate things. There is magic to assist you with that however if need be.
Not as much as you would think. In order to catch them, you need to bring down most of your defenses, as pro arrows breaks them when they hit. Still, if you really need some arrows, I usually find that stealing them is easier than catching them. A bit of stealth, and you are up one dead archer, a bow, and some arrows. Not for everyone, of course. I am sure Dantie would just walk up, getting shot the whole way. But then, he is rather slow.

Xander misinterprets Tarith's comment about Dantie, believing it is a standard tactic of Dantie's. Oh...I see...I had taken him as a bit of a reckless type of person, but that tactic seems a bit...extreme...however I suppose it would keep there attention off you and I. Let us just hope a regiment of archers are not involved the next time we encounter Nerine.
I have no issue with a regiment of archers on our side, although their usefulness would be limited, as her defenses are quite powerful.
Spoiler
36 ac with deflection modifier only... Very high.
Add in dex, and potentially nat armor and armor and shield,
Should easily be in the 50-60 range. Also known as nat 20 to hit

I suppose if we had the ability to gather any type of force before dealing with her further, archers would probably be preferred, hopefully they would distract her some, and at least would not be in the way of any of my spells. I see Dantie chose to stay behind the villagers line of fire today, Does he have trouble avoiding friendly arrows as well?
Gathering a force to fight one individual is not a cost effective way to fight her. The ideal way to deal with her would be a dimension lock, followed by a force cage, followed by walling her in and killing her with some effect. The issue is that the dimension lock would need to be set on the ground in some way. I have never seen Dantie get hit with a friendly arrow, but then again, friendly fire isn't, so my opinion may be a bit biased. I think he is afraid to fight without all his fancy buff spells.
Spoiler
Yes, that is a rather roundabout way to kill someone, but hey, I didn't want to be too cheesy, and any method that involves a force cage, a dimension lock, a stone wall(non-porus), and some sort of kill method(burying her, drowning her, suffocating her, cloudkilling her...), is never going to be accused of being cheesy. Cutting her, and casting some sort of purify water effect, on the other hand, is very cheesy.

@The Party: The last giant, bonded, and with a multitude of effects from Xander, gets peppered with arrows, one of them pierces his throat. The giant gurgles something unintelligible before hurling a stone at the temple, crushing one of Arrallae's statues in the waist, bring the white stone crushing down.
@Xander: I'm glad to know her village is safe, Xander. I have moved her to the Rose Garden. You should find her there. I thought she would be scared if she awoke underwater. You should find her sleeping there. Odd, though, I tried waking her up, but she is completely asleep. As if she used a tremendous power recently.

@Tarith> You flurry the giant and draw a checker board with your blades on his chest. The brute spits out blood before stumbling back a few steps and falling on his back. You see beyond the giant that the other brutes have fallen as well. There is much destruction at the seal, and you can see a few hills and homes destroyed, but all in all, a victory.
Well, I wonder if the dead have anything interesting.
Tarith, ever the opportunist, searches the dead
(take 10, so 30 search.)

@Tarith: Still under Nerine's disguise, you loot the giant and those around you. You find the following in their dirty bags:
-10 pp
- a greasy bone with some marrow still on it
- 30 gp
- One has a letter scribbled in giant.

Deer Mystresse,
I wach u every night as u play your floot. I wud rlly like too play with u too.
I hop after killin' we can go out on a date... if u don't kill me first. Really, please don't kill me, Mystresse
From the rubble and dust, Jacob looks at you.
"And you would stand before me, demon? Your forces have fallen. Now, for your head!"
Jacob rushes towards you from a fair distance, both blades shining under the sun, stained in giant's blood.
