Sorry, still in code-cracking mode here I'm fine with the system, thank you - I just need to find a bit of RL time to play with settings... Oh yeah, and that last hint (pulling the levers back up without having to reset) was really useful, too

I really don't know how you made this puzzle...
I know I haven't spent that much thought into it, but I still find it very difficult!
How the heck did you make a puzzle difficult enough for someone with an IQ of 159?
No idea...Thought of it one morning on the bus.
Anyway, premise is (sort of) simple. let me lay it all together so there won't be any misunderstandings:
1) Levers move up and down. Each position manipulates a number of pathways. In order:
1p1: 1-2. 1p2: 1-2, 1-3. 1p3: 1-2, 1-3, 1-4. 1p4: closes everything, reverts to 1p0
and so on for the rest in order always from right to left eg 3p2: 1-3, 2-3 (except 4p4 is opens the pathway to the wall)
2) If an open pathway is manipulated it closes, and if it is closed it opens.
3) If there is gas in a cylinder, the gas is distributed evenly through the pathways opened at the last manipulation. Exception: 4p4 moves gas from every pathway possible to cylinder 4 and then into the wall.
4) Direct pathways (1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-wall) increase the speed and pressure of the gas, while indirect ones decrease it. However every time, gas can move through one pathway; only 4p4 can cause multiple motions.
5) In order to generate enough pressure, all gas must be in cylinder 1, 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 open (and only these), and then position 4p4 to trigger the mechanism.
6) Position Xp0 has no effect. Levers can be moved there and back down again to access a position multiple times.
Have fun. ^___^. If you are completely stumped, I can start giving the sequence for my solution, which is probably not the only possible one.
Btw, historiasdeosos, you'll be soon meeting puzzles yourself, and maybe quite harder.

I was being sarcastic
I will write my post soon, don't worry. Atm I'm inspirationless, though
I still haven't gotten around to it and I didn't want to write any more posts about how my character sits around, thoughtfully staring at the levers... I felt I had quite enough of those

Ahoy again. Sorry, but real life caught up. Some real world references in the next room, someone's been roaming around D'ni aka Earth a bit.
@historias: I think we're still all aboard. I might need to make some minor alterations, as you have been left behind and have some puzzles ahead, but overall everything's fine.

Well, with only one out of three responding any more, there's not much that can be done. I'll make one final attempt to contact them by pm, but don't get your hopes up.
