I agree with Alynn. While I yearn to know what will happen next (mostly in OOTS ATM) it does kinda make for hard going, story wise. Some panels (mainly what I'd consider a scene ending) are very sturdy alone, but when read one-at-a-time it can get tough.

I discovered OOTS not long ago and had the pleasure of being able to read straight through 350+ pages in a frenzy of self-indulgence. I was quickly spoiled and now I cry.

Anywho... Erfworld is excellent. From the Elvis Creationist Theory (I was married by Elvis... long live the king) to the 'Dwagon Bomb' the humor, art, characters and story was crisp and delightful.

For those of us who know that "I can taste Key Lime Pie" is some obscure reference to a brain injury (I can't remember where that's from, but as soon as I read it I knew what they meant. It takes a very clever writer to come up with stuff like that. Where IS that from anyway?) this new series will be a delight.

While I am sure Miss Starshine is quite fine, I did appreciate Wanda's curves. I'll croak anyday if she'll come 'amance me... grrrr-owl. What can I say? Ever since Jessica Rabbit I've been a sucker for toons.

*raises a toast to Erworld* May the battle of Gobwin Knob be everlasting (or at least followed with sequels, and perhaps prequels)

I think the OP was saying that though it is entertaining, that is about all it is good for. I wonder what else, however, the OP was looking for?

It's a webcomic, not an exposé.

Or I'm totally off base.

Either way, I'm thoroughly loving erfworld. The six pages I saw today made me a bit giggly, I must confess. Dwagons? Erf? Gobwin? Hilarious and I don't even know why.

By the way gvinny - I'm not sure the technical data of the experiments, but I believe it was proved by stimulation of certain parts of the brain subjects could be made to hear, taste, and smell things that weren't really there. I don't know about sight or touch, but I remember reading about it ages ago.

The original poster was the guy who said he registered in the forums just to say how much he hated the preview.

It would seem the launch block was not as bad as he feared.

Why did I end up in this thread... I thought I was posting to the Giant's survey topic.

*sigh* This is why you can't start writing a post... leave your desk to fix someone's printer... and come back to finish it.

Thankfully my post sorta made sense... sorta.

Hey pclips (Elvis), why didn't you tell me where the "Key Lime Pie" reference originated?

Maybe I am just daft and it didn't originate anywhere. It's ok though... 'cause at least the voices in my head keep me company.

I'm tempted to post a poll, asking how I should respond to that.

See, you shouldn't be responding at all. Criticism should only flow one way

Quite so.

I'm hooked, and I hate you for it. :P

It needs more spiffy plate armour, though. That would make me worship your nifty comic, it would...
