I currently am not anticipating the new comic, like I am the new oots. But it hasnt been out that long, and Im curious to see where it goes. So, who knows. It might turn out just as great as oots. Only time will tell.

Guys, there are 7 pages up. This isn't a gag-a-day strip, so judging it by the first 7 pages is like judging an entire novel by its first page.

Right now I’m rather indifferent to it.

By # 7 of OOTS I was hooked and checking constantly to see if a new comic was up. I will give Erfworld a few more strips to catch my attention…but it isn’t looking good for Erfworld.

I do not like Erfworld.
Why?
The jokes (if you can call them jokes) are not funny. The overt use of W makes the characters feel stupid (and not elan stupid. Special stupid), and it shows on the characters.
Some of the jokes are downright ridiculous like the hammer turning nuts into birds and looking like a child toy and the rest are just not funny like the umbrella. It reads like marijuana pamphlets, and the whole way he describes battle makes me think of a lame turn based strategy game. Not only that, but it becomes really cheap if the one wonder of the gods was used to buy another squad of axemen.
I will be reading, but hoping it improves.

I really like the art, but it is a cryptic read bordering on tedium. I figure I'll either get the hang of it and like it or give up because of the grammar.

I picked the last option, don't really care. Its a nice comic, but not exactly what I was looking for like what I found in OotS. It seems to have not lifted off the ground yet as we haven't met all of the cast, but I'll keep checking the updates because I got time to.

Some of the jokes are funny, sorta.

I seem to remember reading that the plan was for around 90 strips, so seven pages is around a thirteenth of the whole thing. That's more like judging a novel by the first chapter... which is exactly what readers do when deciding if they want to continue reading, and exactly what editors do when deciding whether it's worth persevering with. (Sure, if they really like the first chapter but the rest is rubbish, it will also end up on the garbage pile, but if they don't like the first chapter they won't even look at the rest.)

I voted in the poll, because it doesn't quite ask the same question. In the other one I voted "won't continue reading", which is true -- I haven't even looked at 7 or 8. In this one I voted "bad", because I don't think it's atrocious (from what I've seen); it just didn't hold my interest.

I voted for good cause I like the artwork but I feel a little lost reading it like this is a story that has been going on for a while and I came along in the middle of it. I think that feeling is going away though the more of it I read so I'm still giving the comic a chance.

Not to nitpick or anything, but option #4 and #8 are exactly the same thing. I went with 4 for now, though I'm hoping it will improve with more time into the thing.

I love it, I think it has a dry style with enough ridiculous-ness too keep it moving.
Totally original and out-of-the-box thinking, and really looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Granted I haven't fallen in love with the characters yet like I have done with OOTS, but there's only 4 major personalities so far (that I count) and I'm still trying to figure out the game rules.

Incidentally I'd much rather play a board game of Erfworld than OOTS. But I don't think it's fair to compare them, they are totally different.

Great art btw, lovely landscapes and shadows.

Keep it up!

Very good, indeed. Exceeding all possible expectations of this individual. Proceed with the exceptional outcome for an indefinite amount of temporal dimension.

And highlighting my lament at the discussion thread that I even have to look up the references in the post, here I had to google again
But this time I don't mind as my only real encounter with manga/anime until now was the obligatory ghost in the shell movie, so it's clear I never get anything.
