I had a bit of a scare with this comic myself not long ago when my hard drive died. I'm glad I had the foresight to back up all my comics and templates in a zip file on google drive, as well as on another computer. Sure, I lost a heck of a lot of other stuff, but the comic survived, and that's what's really important in life, right?

There's a temptation among some writers to change plot points when someone guesses all or part of them, I think. Surprise is good, but I always want it to be something that makes sense at least in hindsight! My job isn't to defeat the audience, it's to tell a good story, and if the story is flowing logically, sometimes people are going to guess things. In my mind, that's a feature.

So the anti-Shade effect triggers automatically when the blade strikes one, while the stone works on anyone but has to be manually activated, I guess? And he only uses that one against Shades on which the blade's automatic function isn't enough?
