On one hand, he hasn't gotten some kind of permanent battle injury like the rest of the GAP.
On the other, he has The Axehole

Re: Goblins XVII: The shocking end of the story arc
What I dont get is, how can he cast spells if he is still only 3/11ths of every class? The levitate is a potion obviously, and im assuming the glow is his ime, but how is he healing them when he isnt even a level 1 cleric or whatever? Are his teller levels separate from the rest? That honestly wouldnt surprise me, but its a mystery that needs some explanation imo.

Teller sounds more like a template than a class.

Re: Goblins XVII: The shocking end of the story arc
there was a bit in the Viper-clan arc that talked about it too. Tellers get access to some low-level cleric spells. Considering how many spirits Fumbles took in, he might have access to higher then average spells, like some form of AOE heal.

Re: Goblins XVII: The shocking end of the story arc
And there's a good chance that was a joke about how boring he was being.
I can't tell if Goblins follows this rule, but per RAW fractions are always rounded down (or not rounded at all, as I think the SRD puts it, part of a number is plain not a number). That would mean stuff like hit points has an effect on Fumbles, because 1/11 of the result of 1d6 +1/11 of the results of 1d8 etc adds up to a real number larger than one, probably around 4hp per level, but 3/11th or even 10/11th of a sleep spell still does nothing.
I am kind of fearing how the next bit will be handled. This seems like a job for tortured character drama.Last edited by Lvl 2 Expert; 2019-09-18 at 03:13 PM.

Re: Goblins XVII: The shocking end of the story arc
I wasn't even thinking that far ahead, more like how they handle
SpoilerEars having cut his ears off. At first it looked like the helmet didn't work because the golem was damaged, but that's clearly not the case now. So the helmet didn't fit because his ears were too big, and he's a paladin in the Goblins-verse, so he definitely cut them off. And they probably can't properly heal them even with Fumbles' powers and it's going to be a lot of drama stopping the progression of the plot.
Or at least, that's what I'm affraid off.Last edited by Lvl 2 Expert; 2019-09-19 at 11:46 AM.

What would he have used, though? His axe isn't useful for that.

might still have some sharpness to the inside. Or could still be used to tear them off, or seal an open wound. Never know.
has those prongs on the inside too. might be able to tear something off by twisting it a bit with those.Last edited by Draconi Redfir; 2019-09-19 at 02:15 PM.

By the way, Fumbles' regeneration/fast healing didn't seem to have kicked in, like it did with the LOL pearl.

Re: Goblins XVII: The shocking end of the story arc
Although I agree mutilation is likely, I wonder if the Axehole could have been used to clamp his ears out of the way somehow. Could still be painful, without Ears losing his permanently. I guess we'll see soon.

Re: Goblins XVII: The shocking end of the story arc
Almost certainly this.
But I'm barely interested in how he loses his ears. What intrigues me is whether the name and character design was actually made with this exact moment in mind. Because that's a lot to plan ahead - how old is the comic? 10-12 years?
But maybe he just had a general idea, to begin with: This goblin has big ears that he will eventually lose in some gruesome manner. To me personally, that feels more likely =)
