Re: Arena Tournament, Round 31: Fire Fox vs. Lichen
@refs
Spoiler
In addition, since you can trace LoS from any corner, you get to ignore your own smokey square. I don't think Lichen's LoS was ever broken. Short answer, yes, Lichen had LoS at the end of round 2.
So, back to the end of round 2:
@Fire Fox
Spoiler
No LoS.
@Lichen Mossweaver
Spoiler
Fire Fox moved to G21 and appears to be waiting for something
It is Lichen's turn at the top of round 3.

By the rules of readied actions, you cannot perform a readied action on your turn. This means that, on your opponent's turn, when he gains LOE during his turn, he cannot take a readied action. Your readied action will go off, and he cannot interrupt it, as he cannot take a readied action.
Whether his post means that he readied an action to fire, or he is merely preparing to fire is irrelevant. He cannot attack prior to your Firebolt, provided that it is being performed during his turn.
Afterwards, if he chooses to attack, and you have not used an immediate action this turn, and are aware of the attack, I see no rule that prevents you from using your ability.
Bishop Oz:
As ruled by Kyeudo in other matches, Readied actions cannot be taken during your turn (per first sentence in SRD entry for Ready an Action).
When you took the 5 foot step that triggered your opponent's readied action, it was still your turn, and as such, you are unable to make a readied action.
@ Bishop Oz:
Spoiler
As your opponent will act slightly prior to your next action, your readied action will remain in effect until your next turn.

If you believe your opponent dead, by all means, get a high ref to verify and call the match. It's beyond my power as a ref to do such things. By what I see, however, it certainly LOOKS like you've reduced your opponent to -3.
