Alexis searches the door for traps and then tries to open it.

Scratches? Erika shrugs. If he wants to suffer, who am I to get in the way...

Erika pulls out her Wand of Detect Secret Door and activates it, she then scans the stairwell and hallway(staying as far back from the door as possible).

She yawns and says, "Its getting kind of late... maybe we should get some sleep before moving on?"

The door and the remainder of the hallway look perfectly normal, with no secret doors or traps.

The door at the end of the hallway opens easily, revealing that the hallway goes on for another twenty feet and ends in another door.

Alexis

Alexis checks to see if there are any mechanisms for opening or closing the large stone door from the other side (i.e. in the hallway), or if the door is set to automatically reset at some point. "Just making sure this large stone door won't suddenly cause any nasty accidents, but I agree. We should rest soon."

Alexis finds out nothing new about the door, but it doesn't seem to want to move anytime soon. It is very very heavy indeed.

"Shall we settle down for the night then? Who wants to take first watch?"

Torlo toys with the ring on his finger, "I'll take first watch, I don't need as much sleep as you guys afterall."

Erika

Erika nods and says, "Where? Down here? Up in the chapel of love? In that multicolored room?" Erika digs out her bedroll and blankets and piles some of her armor into her backpack.

Once a location is selected, she offers her Everburning torches to Torlo for the watch and heads off to prepare for bed. She drinks her fill of water and then uses her remaining water to wash up and then replaces it with a Create Water spell.

She inspects her gear for damage and uses Mending to fix anything that has been damaged. Also, being paranoid, she casts Detect Undead and scans the immediate area for undead(just to make sure there isn't anything lurking waiting for the group to drift off).

She ditches most of her gear into her backpack. She wraps it with her cloak and the spoons up against it.

Erika detects no undead in the vicinity.

Leon calls all of you "Lazy sonsofbitches" before putting his bedroll on top of a pew and lying down with his eyes open.

Sons? What are these? Melons? Foul mouthed little runt. I'll have to say a prayer to the god of death for him. She smiles as she drifts off to sleep.

Tucking himself into a corner, Alexis munches down a quick dinner, carefully conceals himself under his black cloak, and goes to sleep.

Bok removes his breastplate and other gear and settles in at the bottom of the steps.

"Well, I'm not tired, so I guess I'll stay up and keep watch with Tor..."

Mid sentence he slumps down against a wall and begins snoring.

Night passes, or maybe not, it's hard to keep track of time while you're underground. You're not really tired, but you're a exhausted enough that you don't want to move anywhere for a while.

Come morning, or midnight more likely, you have all woken up for various reasons. Some of you haven't eaten anything for half a day, others simply didn't need as much sleep.

Leon is in the back of the chapel, trying to teach his pet to play dead.

Erika gets up in the near darkness of the dungeon. She recovers her everburning torches and positions them near her so she can don her armor. Once fully armored, she kneels in prayer for a while.

After staying awake for the whole shift, not wanting to wake anyone, Torlo setlles down for an hour or 2 of sleep before setting about the day.

Waking up feeling fresh, Alexis checks the next door for traps.

After reporting his findings, he remembers that a few pews were missed in the confusion, and so he quietly heads back to the chapel, and casually checks the remaining pews for traps or treasure while munching on his 'breakfast.'

Noticing that the others have obviously begun waking, he does what little 'morning' prep he has.

Bok stirs from his rest and sits quietly trying to remember how that healing spell he learned went. Eating breakfast while he does so.

Immediately after he walks past the first door, a pit trap opens up under Alexis. Luckily, he manages to catch the ledge and keep himself from falling. The pit in about 8 ft by 8 feet, leaving a 1-foot wide edge on either side for someone to walk across safely.

All of the pews appear to be capable of being opened. The two in the first row appear to be sealing something inside.

Not really wanting to find out what is 'sealed inside,' Alexis opens all but the front two pews.

Erika, who is still deep in engaged with her God, fails to notice Alexis take a sudden plunge.

Alexis finds 1000 gold in each of the second rows, 4000 gold in the northeast pew, and 2000 gold in the last one.

Attempting to avoid having his pockets jingle, Alexis rejoins the group and peers through the next door.

Erika completes her prayer cycle and rises to her feet. Looking around she see Alexis has discovered a treasure horde. "Gold? If we can get the tomb open again perhaps we can do a bit of shopping. Kind of a shame we have to carry it around until then."

7000 gp... at 50gp per pound... is about 140 pound of gold.

OOC : Was the door with the pit trap up in the temple with the pews or downstairs in the hallway? I'm confused again... any chance someone else figured it out and put it in a map?

Bok finishes refreshing his spells and eating his breakfast. He goes to the door with the open pit trap and begins looking for a way to bridge the gap rather than walking along the narrow ledges.

OOC: Oops, sorry. I messed up on my description there. I've been having a tough week.

This is what I meant to say: The second two pews have 2 lb of platinum coins each, then the northeast pews have 4 lb of platinum coins, and 8 lb. So the pews have 16 lb of coins after the second search. Split six ways, it's not too heavy.

The pit trap was downstairs.

The pews are connected to the floor.

Other than the pit, the view through the door is the same as the one preceding it. The hallway continues for twenty feet, and another door can be seen.

Erika waits to see if Alexis will divide up the cash he found or if he'll try to take it all for himself. In the mean time Erika heads downstairs to see what all the excitement is about. Find Bok struggling with a pit, she offers, "I have a 10' ladder. You could lay it across the pit and walk on the rungs. I'll grab it." She heads back upstairs to recover the 10' ladder and 10' poles from the chapel of love and heads downstairs with them.
