Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Lyingbedmon is and never was Igon Minoblendy. He just portrayed him in a failed television sitcom, "The Life and Times of Igon Minoblendy". Even though the show was cancelled before it even aired, the actor has refused to break character, possibly out of insanity.
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
The idea of a powerful mage living 600 years is not that unbelievable considering some of the other stuff in Avbaroy. Neither is the idea of somebody changing his appearance with magic. If Ins wanted to claim that he was Igon Minoblendy, which is technically true, it would be his word against Lyings. And his word is backed up by Them.
Think about it, Igon, as leader of the Exersus resistance, would be considered a historical hero. The UNA has great PR work, and people believe what they want to believe. Which do you want to believe, that the historical hero and resistance leader, Igon Minoblendy, is currently leading the organization that has united the world, or that he is fighting to bring down that organization.

They're stick figures, they'll look similar no matter what. No-one comments that every third guard is identical.
In universe, Ins has a personal stylist, and etc., while Lying is stuck in a cave with a box of scraps, plus I think Lying likely has access to illusionary spells. The UNA could even claim "The insurgent calling himself 'Igon Minoblendy' has taken the appearance of the Chairman of the UNA, Insecesacinsectel, in an obvious attempt to undermine government support", or something to that effect.

He might. There are Mac viruses out there, they're just not as common as ones for Macs. And he could also reduce the chances by using Linux, which would be far cheaper than buying a Mac.

That would work if there are no pictures (paintings or magical photos) of the 11th century Igon Minoblendy in the history books.
Are there ?
Also, in-universe, Avbaroy is not really a stick figure world. Or else Darklord Bright and Vulion's comics would be non-canon.

That's an understatement. Mac virus are extremely rare.

My Norton was expired.
Try using another computer to install an antivirus to a flash drive, then connect it to your computer and run it from there. Or just copy the installer across, but the virus might block it.

Indeed, although even if there were, I suspect there wouldn't be many now. Most of them would be lost, or destroyed over the centuries.

As I understand, in-universe Avbaroy is exactly as depicted in each canon comic. It's somewhat mutable, and changes in appearance every five minutes, on average. It also lacks a fourth wall, but the characters tend to ignore that most of the time.

If you consider it in terms of resources, Mac has all the poets and the artists, Windows has the politicians, the labourers, and basically everything else that holds up society.
I know who I'd attack if I wanted to cause some anarchy.

I tried downloading the installer, and that worked. But it wants me to remove Norton from my computer before I can install it properly, unfortunately the Trojan is stopping me from accessing Norton.
So I tried downloading the full version onto a CD and then uploading it via that, but the Trojan is stopping my computer from reading the CD.

You would be surprised how much art has held and identified empires, societies and religions.

Wouldn't it better if historically speaking, people acted (more-or-less) like real people.
So if we were to novelise Fat Fish Fury, Q wouldn't say he is in a stick figure comic.
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Nameless, don't say things like "No. Just...no" if you aren't going to explain yourself afterwards. I have no idea what it was that was so bad! Without context this is just annoying.

I would say "Fail" but then I'd sound like Rand.
Well, nameless was talking about trojans, which is also a brand of condoms... and you know nameless.
