[Town] Streets XXXV: Ignore the Soul Eating Hobos

So my character is swirling down a whirlpool of death I guess.

[Osnagard]

Bleeding, dieing, alone.

Dranas appears in a puff of smoke. Fresh from the Tavern and at death's door.

He grins. Someone knew enough. Don't let him die at the hands of an enemy. Deny him his rightful afterlife. An outcast in life, an outcast in death. It fits. The universe is fair. Heh. Now that's a joke. It just doesn't care.

Dranas closes his eyes, so tired. The pain is fadeing. He remembers the feeling. It's a nice warm feeling, like swimming in a pool of blood. He's warm, he's comfortable, but he's tired.

He drifts off to sleep. Blissful, perfect sleep.

[celtois]

The swirling stops and the demon thing finds himself face to face with a genuine demon lord, burbling body tentacles, the whole nine yards.

Splat..the mini demon looks like a large fly just hit by a fly swatter.

[Recaiden]

Jon shakily gets to his feet, and walks over to Van. Tao? Yeah, standar- just, even, even elves you know? He's a bit incoherent.
Heal.
With a bit of magic happening, Van at least doesn't have exposed bones anymore. Though she's still in a bad way, she'd probably live.

The girl looks at the pair admiration plain in her eyes. Thank you so much.. I he was going to ..to she starts to cry softly.

The prophets voice can be heard once again.. however the wind seems to have died down. By saving this one you've left another to fry.. ha ha ha ha (Manical laughter)

[Recaiden]

You're welcome it's fine now best I could do sorry. But Jon steps out and goes to open the door with the pawprint on it.

Van remains paralyzed.

[celtois]

That door is empty.. though their are signs of a broken window and a struggle taking place.

[Recaiden]

Jon sighs and climbs out the window.

Van starts to move a bit. The centipedes wander about the floor.

[celtois]

Out the window there is no sign of anything... almost as if the attacker vanished or teleported away after securing their target.

[Recaiden]

Jon comes back in and comes over to Van and the girl. Maybe one of them can do something.
So, what happened to the other person here? And how'd you get captured?

[celtois]

There was another person here? I wasn't captured,this is my house, that thing burst in with the hurricane and... and.. She starts to sob.

[Recaiden]

Hey, it's okay. It's gone now. Nothing to worry about. But yeah. Jon looks down.

Who got away? says Van, sitting up.

[celtois]

Nothing to really add so.. yeah.

She just stares at the two of them.. before curling up in a ball crying softly.

[Recaiden]

What's wrong? There's a storm, and monsters somewhere in the world, but you're safe, it'll pass.

Van is busy trying to heal herself.

[celtois]

I'm just scared of what almost happened... I'll be fine in time... She whimpers slightly.

[Recaiden]

Sorry to not have arrived sooner. Maybe you should stay someplace safer during the storm? he asks.

[celtois]

The storm has really died down, in fact the last shreds of it are rejoining the demon.

Maybe.. this place it seemed so safe then this. She shudders. What I saw will haunt my dreams.

[Recaiden]

It was just a demon. Let it go.

Jon shakes his head. It as pretty horrible just to see. Do you need anything else from us?

[celtois]

No.. it's fine. I can you guys take me to the inn or something.I think I'll let the drinks do the forgetting for me.

[Recaiden]

Yes. Not that I'm not glad to have my life back and all Van, but some breaks would be, you know, necessary.

Coward. They should all appear outside the inn. Unless there really is something keeping her from teleporting.

and I'm going to deadtime the NPC now that you've escaped the dread folds of plot.

[Recaiden]

Van will then go home to be healed, and Jon will go to sleep. Well, 1 of 3 NPCs getting saved overall isn't too bad, right?

[celtois]

I suppose not.. though one wasn't a NPC, but a PC.. if your wondering where En went.

[Recaiden]

Joneleth leaves the inn and . . . doesn't actually know how to get anywhere he was considering going.

He heads southish, not overly concerned.
