RE: Othars Twitter
He never did find the right rock to bang his old recorder on. I wondered how he took it back in time with him anyway...
Seems like it's picking up with him being pulled out of the Imoblix jug, which means that THIS Othar knows nothing of what's happened except what Tarvek has told him. He's never met Agatha, was never imprisoned in Castle Wulfenbach, etc. etc.
Very interesting.

I was nervous about the whole thing on Wednesday, but it was worth it to see Smurfette Heterodyne.

He's already met Agatha.
Which puts his internal timeline either some time after being thrown off the escaping blimp or post-Circus Days.
That's presuming, of course, that Othar's Twitter is supposed to be internally consistant and isn't just a Meandering Baron Munchausen type story.

Someone over one at the LJ discussion area even went the extra mile on this idea.
Behold, Smurfatha.
It's almost scary how much that works.

Of course, she's ... ahem ... all grown up, isn't she.
Now I've got a hankering to see Phil draw a scene from Scooby Doo to see Daphne and Velma in corsets. I'll be in my bunk.

Agatha will link herself up with Gil and Tarvek. It's like the mad medical science equivalent of a threesome.

They'll end up using Gil's Heterodyne device I'm sure of it.

Part of me hopes the odds of survival are 1 in 3. And the odds catch up with Tarvek.
I know Smurfatha likes him somewhat, though I think she has very quickly forgotten some of the events at Sturmhalten. And I don't trust a darn thing from him.

You mean 2 in 3. We know Agatha and Gil survive already.

Oh no I meant 1 in 3. Agatha gets lucky. Gil gets lucky. Tarvek, not so much.
Maybe he drinks the water and keeps the skin color effect of the immolation. It would take a poncy fellow like him down a peg or two.

Water turns him into a partial jaeger, therefore a loyal minion?
Heel boy! Good Tarvek.
The guy's a dirty jockey and he drives a crooked horse.
As for the Storm King + Heterodyne prophesy of peace in Europe, I could see Agatha going along with such a union, for the good of others, even if it were only for a short while. By george I hope I'm wrong.

Agatha and Gilgamesh survive, that's two survivals out of three. Hence, "the odds of survival are 2 in 3". Tarvek dies, that's one death out of three. Hence, "the odds of death are 1 in 3".

Not because the survival odds are 1 in 3 that only 1 of the 3 actually survives.
With 3 people and 1 in 3 survival odds the chances of survival are :
3 survive = 1/27 ~.037
2 survive = 6/27 ~.222
1 survive = 12/27 ~.444
0 survive = 8/27 ~.296
So even when the odds of death are 2 in 3 the chance of 2 or more surviving are 26%

You're crazy! A 66,6% chance of success is a death sentence for all of them!
If it was a 1:100 chance two of them might survive, with an 1:10.000 chance even all three. And with a 1:1.000.000 chance all three would survive and the Other would go away and the Kestle would be repaired. Don't you know anything about statistics?

Tut tut - that Tarvek is from the Bad Future Timeline; if we're going to assume Tarvek must live, then it is equally true that Othar must fail.
Looks like someone needs to do some background reading

Re: Girl Genius VI:Der Pestle in Der Kestle
Yet another Twitter update. Wow, making up for lost time. Why do I think this means Othar may soon be showing up in the main comic?
Wow, I never noticed that the prisoners all seem to be wearing the same necklace. Exploding collars. Ouch.

That's a little dangerous. Most of the prisoners are sparks of great or lesser ability. Some would surely figure a way around the collar, and that'd give them access to explosives. Yes, they are designed by Wulfenbach, but still, the guy is good, not all-powerful.

Eh, would they really be any more dangerous than what the prisoners can find lying around the castle?

Ah yes, it does look like Othar's Twitter is not only canon, but rapidly advancing to Comic Time.
Quick, somebody dig out the correct pronunciation of Othar's name - we must be ready for his re-reintroduction to the comic!

Well, it is fresh explosive. It is guaranteed to work as intended. So I'll agree it is likely "safer" than most strange machines in the castle, but only because it explodes on demand rather than randomly.
