I know >_> Unfortunately, Djinn, Arcane and Bal either didn't get the memo, or they're all too busy. I'd start and let others join later, but I can't very well pick who's going to join until I've seen all the characters... Sorry about this.

Honestly, at this stage, I'm just hoping the game will actually get off the ground before everyone gives up on it. I'm not going anywhere, it's just a matter of how much patience everyone else has.

Well, you did say "end of the day" on Friday; Friday's just begun where I am.

At any rate, I'm not so much concerned about losing interest now, I'm more worried about how frequently those users will be able to post...

Then again, I know that I've been crazy busy this week; if my sheet hadn't already been done, I'd be in the same boat. And I should be fine after today...

Well, if anyone lags behind too much, we've got an army of backup players.

Oh, and yes, I'll just pretend I meant the end of friday your time. Ofcourse I did >_>

*sigh*

Consider me a backup. Life's busy here, and I can't promise a sheet soon enough that I'd feel comfortable holding up everyone else.

Djinn: Sorry to hear that. Still waiting for two, though, in practice.

Tech: Thanks for your patience.

Killer: I have no idea. We're still waiting on Arcane and Bal to put their sheets together.

Also, I'll be away for most of today and only back in quite a few hours, possibly as many as nine and a bit. Just a warning.

Bal is getting dragged around to do things he'd rather not by basically everyone, and Apologizes For The Inconvenience. He will either have the sheet and backstory ready by sunday, or drop out.

Meanwhile, there's Arcane Snowman. He... appears to have dropped off the face of the earth, but has as long as Bal does. Going to go to the moon to look for him now.

This recruitment thread has turned into an interstellar rescue mission. Where did I go wrong?

...I envy your innocence. I, as a jaded PbPer, have come to accept people dropping off the face of the playground, not making sheets and ignoring my pleas for a status update as quite common. And then when they get in the game, slowing everything down by posting once a week and finally leaving altogether.
Trust me: this is better than most threads.

Ah, Eleven, your optimism, it is so great.
But true- so long as you, cog, are still willing to do this, and so long as you have 2 or more good, dedicated players (best game I ever ran was with just 2 players, so don't you dare tell me that 2 isn't enough) it can still pull through. Trust me.
In fact, the optimum number on these boards seems to be about 4... that's how many I'd take, then use the rest as alternates.
Sure, you have to refuse some people (unless you're insane like me and just decide to make multiple games at once in the same continuity, thus running dry your creative juices and making a worse game for all your players, causing several of them to leave in frustration...)
But, in the end, it's worth it.

I'm in a game like this... I don't know what happened with the other group (DM asked us not to read their thread), but the game started with a dinner with our employer. After getting some info, we were done, but the DM said the other group was RPing in the dinner and so to keep them together we should wait, and should take the opportunity to RP some too. We start a conversation, finish a conversation, and then cue weeks of silence, followed by another attempt at a conversation that kinda fails, then finally the DM going "forget it, I'm decoupling the games, you guys can get going soon. Finish up the conversation while I prepare for the next bit." Hopefully it's not well and truly dead... we'll see.

Ouch. That type of game could end... yes, badly.

No worries, though. I'm far, far more cynical than I let anyone notice Been running games for years now. And my best game is... well, three players, but one is awful and never posts, one is too busy to post for the most part, and the other is Bal. Basically, he's the sole reason the game has survived, so yes, 2 is definitely enough.

Anyway, I'm glad everyone has the patience for this. I promise that in 13 hours from now at the latest, you will have characters selected, then a pair of threads for the game. If anyone can't finish their sheet by then, they'll be put on the backup.

Eleventh: I'll pass on the nails and brimstone. But only because I'm saving all my evil for the game itself. Ask Bal, he knows exactly how horrible I can get.

Gorgon: If all goes well, I'll be beginning work on the Spiritbound today, or atleast sifting through the Spell Compendium for ideas. Just saying.

Hey, if you want any help or ideas, at all, feel free to ask. In fact, ask. That's an order.

Hey guys, deathly sorry over here.

One sheet: http://plothook.net/RPG/profiler/view.php?id=6392

PM'd BG to Cog.

Sheet needs items added, but they're not much of a hassle for me, simple stuff and all that. After that, I'll just check it once over to make sure the values are all correct.

So, basically, Cog can get a'choosin' as to who he wants in, and hopefully we can get started.

I want in. :3

The moon rescue has failed, I can't find Arcane. He's now on the backup list. Sorry, A_S.
I have, however, finished waiting. Read the background Bal PMed to me (he might post it at some point. Might.), though.

First, Bal? Make the sheet public. That's excused since you stayed up until 3 AM to finish the sheet, and I basically know everything that went into it anyway, but please fix that once you can.

Now, as for the people who made it in? Once again, I chose this mostly based on backgrounds, but also on who has the most interesting concepts. Without further ado - since, as you can see, I ramble way too much - here's the party.

DragoonWraith: Charade, Living Spell (Path of Frost) Mindthief
EleventhHour: Sonia Ml'ruse, Changeling Barbarian
Balketh: Warforged Chrono Trigger, whose name escapes me.
NoldorForce: Mueghak Mronan, Dwarf Dragonfire Adept
Technophile: Sebastian Avero, Human Sagittarius Archer
Defiant: Pixie Rogue/Marshal. I.... forgot the name, and accidentally deleted the PM with the sheet and backstory. Send it again? Please?

The following are in. Everyone else is more than welcome to sign up for the backup list, whether they have their character completed or not. I'm not promising that anyone on the list will get in, though.

Now, I'll go and post up an OOC and IC thread, then link them here. Stay tuned and all that.

OOC

IC

Like I'd tell you. It's a secret.

Oh, and the Operation has hired an ex-soldier, a blind half-doppelganger warrior with anger issues, a robot, a faerie, a fire-breathing midget sociopath and a.... a very cold blob. Does this still count as ethnic diversity? Because I think we need new words.

Note: Bal's Warforged looks human. No metagaming, now.
