That would be my own description/explanation of how I have always considered the FE Magic system to work.

possible strategy for the top-left corner of the board:

-move aje into the forests at I4 and drake step over to H6, then doubleteam the zombie. with aje in the woods, he'll be okay even if the skeleton attacks him (he'll take less damage--if he doesn't avoid the attack(s) outright). drake's character can handle himself for a turn if he's attacked.

also, since you didnt have to retreat, it lets you have the option of either moving to try and intercept the second skeleton, or go after the boss once you've finished the first skeleton.

just off the top of my head.

I would that except that it depends on what weapon the skeleton is weidling!!! If the skeleton is weidling say, an Axe. Then I risk death with any plan that involves attacking.

So yeah, what's the Skeleton weilding?

Hey I thought of something that could make rogues a more interesting option.

Why don't you give them a "Steal Armor" ability, which fires something like skill% of the time on attack and reduces the attacked unit's Def by 7(which gets back up at the rate of 1/round)

a rusty sword (custom item--in between a slim and iron sword in stats, the details will be posted soon to clear all this up.)


and so far the enemies follow SS monster wielding. i havent decided whether to have skeles use axes or not.

A little bit late perhaps, but on the way magic works, I like the way the FE6 Manga put it. "Magic is, lets see... the technique of accumulating and using the forces that exist in nature." The staves and tomes are just used to channel that energy and are weakened in the process.
