I once asked my buddy "who is your favorite power metal band?", and he calmly turned to me and said "there is no power metal. There is only Running Wild". I'm afraid I can't agree with the sentiment, but I definately listen to them on a fairly regular basis. Port Royal is probably my favorite album of their, what about you?

I've never heard that before, but, now that you mention it, calling stuff like Pantera's "Vulgar Display", Anthrax' later works or Mastodon "trash metal" really does make a lot of sense

Well, you could've just gone to Wacken this year, turns out that for some reason there actually were quite a few Running Wild fans there

I also met a fan out in Russia. It's a kickass band, after all (well, later kickass vocalist/guitarist with a bunch of hired hands, but kickass is what matters ).
