Anyway, why are people talking about a Gorgon codex when the story is currently focused on the new and mysterious Cretan codex? The one with a bull's head which is surprisingly devoid of snake hair?

You asserted that hiding the Bibliography, which turns into a disk, would be as easy as Raoul hiding his page nature, which given the context, likely includes horns.
Yeah, no. That's not likely.

Gorgons also get lower bodies like snakes in a lot of stories
I think in the traditional Greek and Roman stories the gorgons had normal legs, and that it was later reinterpretations that changed it to having the lower torso of a snake. Much like how sirens changed from looking like harpies to mermaids.

Normal humans have that aversion too, you know. I think only Green Knight pages do not have an aversion to having their head cut off.
Yeah. This needs to happen.
...
The Python Codex.
THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN
Spell 4: Sleeping: Allows you to appear dead.
Spell 8: Holy Hand Grenade: Thine enemies, being naughty in mine sight, shall snuff it.
Spell 17: Bitcher Kneecaps!: Can survive anything for certain amount of time. Will regenerate limbs. (Eventually)
Spell 23: Banana: How to kill someone who comes at you with a banana... much harder when they're a Python Page.

The Green Knight was a guy who got his head cut off for fun.
He made a game out of this: he challenged someone to what could appropriately be called a head-off: first, someone cut his head off with an axe, then he himself cut the other guy's head off with an axe as well. Normal people generally assumed they would win by default after the first round, but they ended up losing at the second round, chased by a headless guy wielding an axe while a disembodied head on the ground is laughing and telling them to stay still or they're cheaters.
(Okay, that's not exactly how the legend goes, but it's funnier this way.)

Just like everyone in the hospital notices the eyes floating around the young Tony, or the way Raoul immediately noticed that the pages he confronted were different.
Oh, wait a minute, that didn't happen, did it?

Spell 26: Swallow Swarm: Two swallows, tied to a stick with a coconut attached, fly into your general area. Your opponent wont have time to question from whence they came, as they will find themselves with a rather large coconut upon their head.
Spell 29: Silly Walk: Walk in a very silly way to keep up in the cold war.
Spell 31: Wahhh!: And that's how you properly get hit on the head with a mallet.
Spell 35: Argument: We're having an argument. No we aren't. Yes we are. No we aren't. Yes we are.
Spell 40: Flying Fox of the Yard: Police come and arrest everybody. FIght ends without a climax.
Spell 50: Funniest Joke in the World: You die it's so funny, and so does anyone who hears you.

you need to be awakened for that, unfortunately for Raoul, Ben is that

Except that Ben happened to be awakened, meaning he can see those things. That would make it harder for Raoul to hide his nature than Ben, as ben can turn his whitebox weapon into a patch, while Raoul will be stuck with whatever changes to his features he gets.

Spell 27: Nobody Expects the Spanish Inquisition! - Allows you to appear anywhere where someone says 'I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!' unless it's the end of the show, where you have to run all the way there.
Spell 30: My Hovercraft is full of eels! - Allows you to misinterpret a foreign language, or make another do the same.

Python Lexicon-Spell 1: Cheese conversation. Distract someone for ten minutes while they try to guess what cheese you have. Ends with you getting shot in the head, for you had no cheese. Only to be used as a last resort.

Don't the abyssals just have the regular number (i.e. 67, in this case), instead of the roman numerals of the codex spirit?
edit- I also kinda hope he doesn't descend anytime soon. I'd feel bad for the codex if the first guy who's compatible that comes along in decades goes nutso on you right away.

So, codices are numbered. That is interesting to know.
