Wolfbane and I have been pondering starting yet another Defender-type game, with us as the defenders (he just can't get enough of it ). Rules would be similar, with a few differences (spoiler contains map):
Spoiler
There is only one Defender Fortress, used by both of them, which is in black on the right, and the Attacker Bases are in red on the left. Dark red is towers, as always. I like to keep my maps consistent, color-wise.
Most of the ground (lighter brown) is very rocky, making travel difficult, especially for vehicles.
The darker brown is a much smoother set of dried-up waterways, linking the Defenders and the Attackers.
The Defender Fortress is built on the side of a mountain, and the black stripe down part of the map is where the ascent begins.
The Defenders only have one artifact in this version, with the following powers: Invulnerability (every other turn), Healing (every other turn), and Power Surge (gives a unit a 1-turn surge in attack power. two turn cooldown). The artifact is kept at an altar within the base, specifically at the yellow circle on the map.
Finally, the main difference is that this game is a Veterans game. Unfortunately it is not open for new players, as half of a player's picks must be that player's picks from older games. The last half can be new.
Happy is willing to GM, but given certain issues, we're looking for a secondary GM.
Well...I'm afraid an all-new player is impossible in this one, sorry. In the description. =/ As for co-GM, I would prefer someone with more experience with playing or at least observing the game. Admittedly I don't know if you've been lurking or not.
Well, I would, if not for the fact that the restriction on people means that I'd have to use my fate/stay night characters.....AGAIN.....which everyone'll be long sick of by then. So I guess I'll have to pass this time.

Admittedly, the only reason I repicked the same people was that the previous game went inactive...I'd have to play another insanowar first to give myself a broader array of picks. Oh well.
Huh. Thanks, I guess? Anyway, which ones have you been in, out of curiosity?
@Bahumat: Yeah, concept's not really friendly for people who already repeat picks, sorry.
He was in this one , Sadly one of the member absconded the game fairly early (not the tower) so it never finished.

...looking back, I tend to go 'elite. elite. ELITE' in my picks.
...hmm. I've been in two games, but both have died pretty early (and one game's just starting, so I wouldn't count that one). Could I still go in to this veteran's one?

Robert, I must say, that was an epic move in Insanowar: Defense
I am so happy that didn't happen to me. <.<

well, I don't believe in the gently gently approach.

I suppose the lack of comment means Murska's not interested in the Veterans game, then? Sad, was hoping for him to pop in...
Also, we've been considering upping the power levels for this one slightly. Mostly in that some units might be upgraded a bit and mook counts go up. Not a huge boost, though.
Well I'll play to make up numbers, if you want. I'm not much of a writer but I do have some good ideas, and I promise not to chuck my whole base at you.

Hmm. I'd probably prefer defender but in case you don't get enough players for attackers, I guess I could think something up.
The best form of defense is an attack, and the best form of attack is a WAAAGH!!!
(~The best means of Defence is Attack, an' the best means of Attack is a really really Big One, right, with lots of Boys an' dead big shooty things an' what have ya. -Derek Zog )

Incidentally, I've got an idea for a game-type: Heroes
Basically, all picks must be individuals. So, it'd be more skirmishes.
...except they'd be individually very powerful.
I second this motion. Primarily since this is what I already do.
Aaaaannnnddd I just watched/read several anime/manga which will add some more oomph and variety to my normal Type-Moon selection.
Also interested in a veteran's game. Hey, I've done several! They just don't finish.....And I have more free time and a wider variety of selections than I used to!
In a pretty much complete opposite vein from you two, would anyone be interested in a 'Sanowar' game, where you pick generally plausible armies (preferrably sci-fi but whatever it is, it's capabilities have to be known by me as the GM pre-game. If you want to keep things hidden, use PMs.) and the battles are played out with actual strategy and tactics prevailing. It'd have plenty of GM-judging on the plans, or perhaps even a structure where everyone sends their plans in, with secrets in PMs, and the GM posts an 'end of turn' where he meshes together everything that happens simultaneously.

This sounds awesome, but your need a detailed map top do this effectively. While I'm not volunteering to play, I am happy to discuss any plan with the d.m if he can't decide what wins.

Yeah. I'm really bad at any art whatsoever, map-building included. I spent a few minutes working on Paint for an example four-player map to draw some comments. From the look of it, tactics would have to be more overlay-command and less squad-micromanagement... at least if they plan on including map aspects.
And it's a bit small. Probably not any huge conflicts here.
