So I just had the absolute strangest series of hands in Poker Night at the Inventory.
I had eliminated Max, Strong Bad and the Heavy. I was sitting on 38,000~, Tycho was sitting on 11,000~. Five hands later, I'm sitting on 12,000~ and Tycho's at 37,000~. Why?
Tycho got the following in a row:
Four of a kind(Aces)
Two Pair(Aces and Kings)
A pair of Aces(in his hole cards no less)
A straight(Jack high)
A Heart flush.
Left4Dead 2 is now mine via impulse buy just so I can actually join you guys when you are rounding up a crowd. Huzzah! For everyone who doesn't have this game yet, it's only 5 bucks so you should consider it for all your zombie infected killing needs.
I'm not one to turn away free things, however, I would not want to waste your free copy and generosity. Is Deus Ex actually any good, or is it one of those games where the power of peoples nerddom overcomes them and tells me it's a great game with those weird hypnotized eyes like in cartoons and then I play it and go "Man, now I feel like an arse for wasting this nice gift cuz this game isn't very good."

It's a bit of each.
Is it overhyped? Yes. Very yes.
Is it a good game that was groundbreaking at the time and still decent fun now? Also yes.
I hope you like conspiracy theories.

Ok, the fact that you admit it makes me willing to play it. And I don't much care for conspiracy theories IRL, but they make me LOL in the most appropriate manner.

Basically, if Just Cause 2 is the Michael Bay game, Deus Ex is Dan Brown, only less stupid. Still impossible to take at all seriously.
But yes, I finished it recently, and while I can see why it was amazing at the time, it's not quite as great now. Certainly not the best game ever (in my opinion, at least) as many seem to think it is. That said, it's still fun, and one of the better FPS games out there. Especially if you like a bit of RPG mixed in.
Edit: Counting the copy EleventhHour has yet to claim, I have one copy of Deus Ex left. One. Any takers?
Anyone who wants TF2, the Orange Box is available for ~£5, and an 8-pack of Just Cuz 2 is £40.
And there's some other stuff that I'm less interested in.
