Re: Werewolf Central: The New Moon
I'm trying to gear myself up to start up the next WW Classic, but I think I'm going to have to wait until Ye Olde West calms down a bit. With all the searching and auctioning and purchases and money transfers it's pretty hectic (but also a total blast).

Re: Werewolf Central: The New Moon
Let me check with Atreyu on Llama Llama Duck.
As for future YOWs, I'm going to hold to a narrator spot for that one. Raldor I certainly welcome you staying with me if you like. I do know that with the new items and rules we've added, we are definitely going to add a 3rd person to that mix. It's a lot to keep track of! (I may just put the offer out there now to bring a 3rd person in for this one. )
And Shadow - you're a pimp! The leg work and additions to this thread are AMAZING! You are either a glutten for punishment or a robot, I'm not sure which. Kudos to you!
And I agree with Zeb on the point that perhaps a note should be made on starting any new game. However the fact that new threads can't be made in this forum right now hinders people from reading it/knowing about it.
Perhaps, as we are all shareholders in this, we can let those who do want to make a game know about the schedule and how to get on it, just like we nudge those who break the three post rule. With everyone's help, we can ensure a crazy start of games at the same time doesn't happen again.

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
Having spoken with Korith, I've discovered something his spreadsheet was not designed to do, but he has suggested a workaround.
His spreadsheet is not designed to handle an alpha game, but he has suggested that should an alpha pick someone who already had a role, that role becomes reassigned. It's not the most effective solution, but it works.

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
Why would you try to assign roles before the Alpha had chosen their team?
You'd wait until the Alpha had chosen before deciding any other roles by necessity, wouldn't you?
I think it wouldn be easier to just remove the "wolf" roles (and their players) as choices and assign the roles remaining to the players remaining?
I haven't used his sheet yet, but that seems the most efficient to me.

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
Yes, that's the most efficient way to do it, however, that then makes it difficult to import into a spreadsheet to actually track the game, and also doesn't account for the idea that a person could have an additional role besides 'wolf', such as the lovers, customarily.

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
But, unless I'm mistaken, his sheet only assigns one role per player, doesn't it?
So it would never assign a lover role to a wolf.
You'd have to do it twice, the second time for possible secondary roles.
IE: lovers, fueders, etc.
At least that's the way that I read it.That's the way it is.Originally Posted by Korith's spreadsheet

Please add me to the list of 'draftable co-narrators'.
I'd like to try flexing my muscles (so to speak) on the other side of the screen. I'll already be co-narrating Vampire when it starts, but I've got no particular problem lending a claw elsewhere as needed.Catatar made for me many years ago ... pretty sure by banjo1985

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
It's beta testing time everybody!
www.wolvesitp.com is mostly ready to roll!
Anyone may create an account and submit new games for the schedule, but a moderator (known as devils) will need to come along and publish it to the schedule.
If you would like to be 'devil' let me know by PM here. I'll eventually have some sort of contact form enabled there.

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
I've recovered from the weeks of doom and am good to go whenever Goof is. I think we should start registration on the day that WWIX is set to begin and give them a week, then ease into Llama, Llama Duck in the next week sometime, once WW has settled in.
Or would you rather wait till YOW is done, Goof? YOW seems like quite a large project.inner circle Legionary of Resiliance

If he needs a break, Vampire is almost ready to go, chalk full of surprises.
Is it llama, Llama, Duck
-or-
Llama, Duck, Wolf?
I've seen it both ways.
I want to get it right on the schedule.Last edited by Shadow; 2007-09-10 at 09:28 AM.

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
It's Llama, Llama, Duck. Because the roles make almost as much sense as the song.
Sure, we could call it Llama Duck Wolf, but what fun is that?
And schedule, I'm open to any start time, so before Vampire, after Vampire, whatever. Though I think we may defer to after Vampire - simply to get our 3rd narrator in the game and caught up with everything we'll have going on. Actually, yeah - we will wait until Vampire is started.

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
I'm curious with the schedule on raldor's site, whether they're put on the schedule by game start date, or recruitment start date. Because by my calculations....WW IX is put on game start date, and Llama, llama, duck is put on recruitment start date. Either way is fine....I just think we need to be consistent and specify.

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
Raldor has updated the site to be specific about what phase the game is currently in. If you look at the bottom of a calendar entry you'll see that status. So far there's Tentative (LLama, LLama, Duck), Recruiting (WW IX), and In Progress (YOW2).
I have linked both this thread and wolvesitp in my signature for handy reference and a little wider dissemination. Though I agree that maybe we should post games by the date that they plan on starting recruitment and then just change the phase as it progresses.Last edited by Zeb The Troll; 2007-09-10 at 11:13 PM.

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
My current approach is trying to call attention to the games that are currently recruiting (which might take some time), but if you want to just list them by recruiting date it's fine with me.
I wasn't actually certain when Llama, Llama, duck was doing anything, so I just put it on at a date on the first page of the thread and put it as tentative.

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
I just had an idea for a special role. I don't know where to post it but it seems like it would go here.
Non-Plot essential assistant
One villager is chosen at random to have a Non-Plot essential assistant. For now we'll call him Indurain. Another player is chosen to be the Non-Plot essential assistant we'll call him Shadow for now.
If Indurain is attacked during the night Shadow takes the attack for him and dies.
Indurain gets 1 scry to be used to try and find the identity of those responsible for Shadow's murder.
If Indurain is going to be lynched Shadow takes the blame instead and dies.
Indurain (in concordance with every adventure movie ever made) must now avenge Shadow and gets 1 night kill.
Both Indurain and Shadow are villagers. Indurain and Shadow do know about each other at the beggining of the game.Spoiler

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
That's pretty good!
I'm considering a WW game based on Espionage - kind of a cross between Mafia and Alien. Spy Agency vs. Big Bad Evil Organization (BBEO until a better name is thought of...)
More Bourne than James Bond (except Casino Royal), more Dr. Evil than Dr. No.
Thoughts?"see the little angels rise up high, how do they rise up, rise up, how do they rise up high?"

Re: Werewolf Central: ((All Wolves Please Read))
Just speaking with Zar Peter, Andre Fairchilde and Pwenet I got to an interesting idea for a game:
Isaac Asimov's Robots!!
A society with androids, all programmed with the Three Laws within their positronic brain. But there are some smarter than others... Those who interpret the Laws as they see them fit better...
Well, that's all I have thought of so far. I'd love to make a game around that, but I need help to make it sound original, and not just another WW simple game.
If anyone is interested and would like to help me, you're all welcome.
Of course, it wouldn't be starting soon, there are too many games and the idea is just starting to form in my head. What about mid November?
EDIT: Alternatively, I'm thinking of a Death Note one. That one needs polishing, too, but the Otaku community might be interested... If someone wants to help, you're welcome as well.Last edited by Skippy; 2007-09-11 at 03:31 PM.
